As a noob, following the autopilot into low-sec:
W - Tormentor pops
T - Pod pops
F - Waking up in a new clone
Fixed my autopilot settings afterwards and stayed out of low-sec for a while...

Day three of playing, I was a noob, had an iteron 1 someone felt kind enough to give me and a couple ships.
Well, I went and packed everything (including the shuttle i owned and my velator I'd use for mining) and started to make the 20 something jumps.
gatecamp got me. I had lost pretty much everything at that point.

Went on a deep 0.0 roam with my corp, had to sleep so I logged in some way off system. Had to get back unscouted in a frig, bubbled died.

For my 1st attempt, pre-trinity, I was about 3 days in as a Caldari. I decided to go exploring lowsec and nullsec in a mining Bantam. Believe it or not, I was pretty safe as long as I kept my distance from stuff. That's when my usual problem arose: I get really ****y some times. I exit a gate into nullsec (on my third day), and about 30km from the gate, I see 5 or 6 BS's duking it out. They are all just lounging around, blazing away.
Then I see the wreckage of a cruiser, just below this Rokh (within 5 km). I think to myself, "they're all distracted w/ each other, so I'll just pop over there (at like 245 m/s) and see what I can't grab from that wreck..."
I popped so fast I wasn't sure what had happened. Then there's this little pod thing I can fly, never saw that before. I figured I'd run. I got less than 2km.

My corp moved to low sec a few months after a friend got me into the game.
I'd trained for interceptors since I'd started pretty much and could fly them by this stage. I finally got my first crow and headed into 0.0 since I'd heard so much about it. Spent about a week flying around popping various T1 frigates and their pods I came accross and then I got a bit more ambitious...
...I attacked a much more skilled pilot flying a Blasteranis and died in less time than it took me to realise I was going to loose. He got my pod too and I had to spend a month getting isk for a new crow  .
Still, I was the first person in corp to enter 0.0, and a newbie at that so I think I did quite well in hindsight

In my first corp, one guy wanted to do some plexes in low-sec. He lead us down there and we ended up getting ambushed by a 20-man VETO pirate gang. He kept insisting that we were safe, and I, the noob, didn't argue despite there being 30 people in local.

Got podded the first time by deciding autopiloting through aurohunen was a good idea. The second time was by smartbombing battleships in rancer that popped and podded me before I was out of warp.

i used to run eve on a very very old pc that would lag out for 5 minutes at a time.
i ran into a teddybear camp and when my computer caught up i found myself back in my starter system.
i sent the guy hatemail being a 3 day old noob i thought it was the most original thing in the world....

Out in Syndicate, 2 of the 3 deaths total in the same system, local was lagging bad I figured I had a few seconds of a window to get to the gate and jump but once there the pirates was there already camping yet not in local. I rage quit and wasn't even online when the pod went.

I was in Rens and I looted a wreck. Either they had a corp member nearby that I had missed, or someone decided to suicide gank me.
My destroyer blows up and a few seconds later I'm sitting in a station having being podded. I don't know what happened there.

I was still playing as ActiveX as ceo of PlanetCorp Industries. I was in an mwd Slasher trying not to get tackled by the Sneaky Magik Inc. Claw that was with his buddy in a 1400mm Tempest. The Tempest got a lucky wrecking shot and the Claw finished me off.
I have only been podded 4 times in over 4 years. Lost countless ships though.

Ran into 3 Teddybears/Tundragon in Syndicate after about a month into the game, mid-2004. I was actually able to warp myself to a planet to get away at first, but I forgot to turn my autopilot off and I ended up flying right back to the gate where they were waiting. 
They gave me the chance for a ransom on my pod, I refused not expecting to be able to afford their demands anyway, and that was that.

second time I was afk in a pos in a gang in highsec during a war, oops fleet warp
third time 0.0 in a bubble. bounced off a gate in my interceptor, and that was even the gate to empire (although it was a bit of a suicide trip to begin with) and loosing the crow + pod at the successful suicide.

Deep in 0.0 in a Bestower, I was just flying around exploring. Some guy at a gate podded me because I was there. I didn't try and warp away, I didn't do much. Just kind of sat there. I might have been 2 weeks old, it was just part of the learning process. I still have him in my KOS list but my killmails and various statistics have been reset so many times they mean nothing. I don't even think he plays anymore. He hasn't logged in in 6 months or more. |

I was a week old nub in an executioner, wondering if the location in the Sancha ship log existed.
Got taken out and podded in a gatecamp at the entrance to 0.0
I was so new at the time, I had no idea that 0.0 or lowsec existed. My executioner was fitted with an overdrive... nothing else. It wasn't until a couple of hours later that I realised they'd tried to ransom me. Unfortunately i'd never had local showing, otherwise i'd have offered them my 25k isk

Flying my Atron to a new mining spot. I went through low sec, emerge from low-sec, warp to final gate, about to warp and make a crapload of cash.... when a BS warped in and smartbombed me on the spot. Atron and pod vaporised.

2 weeks after I started playing on my first char (it wasn't this char, though this is my main since I created it), I flew my newly acquired Merlin into a huge smartbombing gatecamp to buy some Quafe because it was 0.00001 ISK cheaper than in highsec. I didn't even load grid, got dumped right into my clone station and couldn't do something else than think "wtf".

I had just bought my first bestower for 800k which was a lot of money back then (still think I was ripped off) when zap and ywev shot me at a gate... I didn't realise my AP was still on so when I came out of warp with my pod it warped BACK to the same gate - pop. One of them was in a 7xMFS dominix which back then stacked in an entirely diferent way than they do now

I believe my first time was during a war my corp had when i was maybe a month into the game. I was all happy because i found an implant during a mission and at the time i thought nothing of it. Sold it for 30 million and was stoked (looking back i probably could have made more on it). I can fly a BC so i buy a shiny new Ferox that i didn't have all the skills for yet. But hey i can fight well verse npcs so why not the invading army.
They warp in and engage us and i'm thinking haha i have a ferox prepare for a good fight...oooh no ferox is dying...quick dock..."can't dock you were fighting dummy". ok quick warp out..."you are warp scrambled" *poof* there goes my ship. Not knowing to spam warp i stumble to warp off in my pod and get podded before i can warp.
Lesson of the day don't engage a command ship with a ferox i can't pilot properly lol. At least these days i know better and put up a much better fight
