In RL when I see a pretty chick and we get along, I usually lay her.
In EVE, I¦m so ****ed 95% of the chicks are goddam nerds pretending to be chicks, touching their balls in a not very masculine way, and vomiting philosophies and arguments on the forums as if it matters, I just blow them up.
Of the other 5%, 1% are my friends and the other 4%, true chicks. They still have to be hawt if they wanna live.

I'm allowed to kill people in game. OOG, not so much. Other than that, pretty much the same. Always keep my word. Ransoming someone, then killing them isn't worth the loss of reputation.

No. I was bullied at school to an extent and I have no desire to ruin anyone's day. I'd say it's more likely to be the bully at school is more likely to be a jerk in Eve as they can pick on people and get away with it.
The problem is defining who is the griefer bully and who is just an in character pirate.

In EVE i like chatting with people and am usually the one saying a lot of silly things and breaking the ice in newly formed corps with new members. In real life i am much more reserved and much less chatty especially with people i have just met and much more serious.
In EVE i have baited miners, camped and killed newbies in low sec, and scammed people. In real life i rarely get angry at other people. I even have trouble killing insects that crawl into my dwelling, i just take them outside. I also know a few ways to scam in real life, make some extra cash and get away with it without any consequences like in EVE. However i have never used any of these ways and being a poor student it is not like i don't need extra cash.
In EVE I like doing my own thing. I have trouble taking orders, flying in fleets, that just gets me bored very quickly. Also I get annoyed with people who are anal about enforcing rules. Same in real life. I do not abide laws very strictly and I am rarely bored because I always have some sort of my own projects going on.
Some people assume that if you kill a newbie or bait a miner or scam someone in EVE that deep down inside you are really trying to ruin that player's day. I have never concerned about ruining someone else's day. For me it is the high that I get from wining. For example I don't play tennis or poker with other people because i want to make them lose and get upset over it. I play because it gives me a high to win. Why is it that people assume if you pirate or scam that you are trying to grief others is beyond me. I guess it makes them feel morally superior to assume something like that.

Not speaking about you personally, but a lot of the time you don't have to assume pirates and scammers are out to grief others, they tell everyone that this is their goal. Obviously not everyone is like that, but a lot of the vocal ones are.
"I love the taste of carebear tears", just how would you interpret that? Or "I've made x number of persons quit the game, I'm so proud of that"

in eve i'm not a nice pilot. I try real hard to do bad things to nice guys. Not so nice guys too, no need to discriminate right?
In rl, i think i'm a good guy. I have friends, a gf (least i think i still do) and generally get along with most people. I even get along with most of the correctional officers here. Judges on the other hand...
So here I am, forum whoring when i can and I'll be back in space hopefully in a little under 3 months

In real life, I can't even afford to drive to work on a daily basis.
To the op; Most people act like c*nts in games because they can't get away with it in real life. As for me however. I'm generally the same as I am normally... just a bit more generous.

The "carebear tears" bit comes from the big influx of special snowflakes who are violently and vocally opposed to accepting that someone can in any way beat them in a game or deprive them of game achievements. Pirates & so forth get the same amusement out of their foolish tears that, say, a professional football player might get out of seeing some new player try and sue them for assault and robbery for taking "his" ball away.
Incidentally, the logical corollary to the hypothesis that PvPers griefers were picked on at school is that the carebears complaining about them were the bullies that did the picking on. This being the case, why feel any sympathy...?
In actual fact, most of the pirates I meet in game are extremely nice people, often ready to help with advice or time or even stuff.

Very well, that probably accounts for part of the posts containing that specific comment.
However, reading C&P for a while, you come across a whole motherload of people saying they love it when they get a negative reaction out of their victims, and it's not limited to tantrum reactions at all.
The plundering bunny may be a bit more direct about it then most in her/his stated goal of making people quit, but she's far from the only one.
EDIT: Lol, forget C&P, all one needs to do is read through this thread. Hell, even just this page, to see people professing love for making someone elses day worse.

"if you kill people in game the you would do it in RL if you could get away with it."
Does that make all the FPS players murderers too? Or what about the RTS people who play starcraft and games like that, are they all hilter type people wanting to raise an army?
Piff maybe some of them, but i refuse to blieve that their is any relation.

You just quoted something nobody said. If you read carefully, it is about hurting someone emotionally. No-one here is so silly as to confuse virtual killing with real-life killing. I think single-player games would come closer to simulating that than respawning gamers.

On topic: I'm much more proactive in Eve than in RL. My character is in a leadership position and ,I hope, enjoys some kind of respect from my corp members.
In RL I get a lot less respect and less people look up to me. Naturally I'm quieter in RL for that reason.
Fortunately playing Eve for over 4 years now has blurred the line between the RL me and the Eve me. Eve has changed me for the better and I'm proud of that, thanks CCP.

I am a little freer with my opinions in real life and I tend to be a little more reckless. I think that has something to do with the fact that if I make an ass out of myself in EVE then my corp or alliance may pay the price. Whereas in real life if I do stupid things I am typically the only on that can be held accountable for my actions. I am a little more masochistic Out of EVE vs In EVE.

Really unsocial/untalkative IRL, changes a lot when I get in the game. I like people when they are pixels on the screen and I can get rid of them with f1-f8 or just closing client.
