With women making up almost 50% of the worlds population and with only around 4% of the population of EVE female, it makes sense to have a Female on the CSM. With a female on the CSM it would probably increase the number of female players and would give CCP something to advertise.

This would create true newbies in the process and allowing CCP to gather in more money for the company. The new revenue for the company will allow it to fix all the problems of EVE. If we managed to double the population of EVE and double CCP's money, surely they could fix the game.

How would having a female as the CSM make more people come to the game? Do you henestly think people in the real world know about eve and what gender the CSM are?.

As I've pointed out several times, social gameplay is the mother of emergent gameplay. It needs a minimal investment in infrastructure and can keep players amused like forever. Just hand out some tools and allow people use them. Organized gameplay is cool to have, NPC interaction is cool, but from a cost/profit POV there is nothing as effective as just let people interact through avatars. Throw in some "hologram" technology so they're not forced to be aboard the same station and ther you go. Now add some advantages to physically being there (I already suggested stuff like kissing, caressing, punching, slapping... or dancing, if CCP were up to a tough ball; i've been iterating on the dance concept and I am figuring ways so two players can syncronize their moves within EVE's 1 second server frames... I don't mean "hit dance emote, do silly moves", rather "press the right keys at the right time so the server is fed the right "combos" from both sides at the right time and plays the right animation... in my limited knowledge, nobody ever tried that online...)

Err, to the point, there are lots of things that can be done as tools for friendly social interaction. If someone wants avatar PvP, they may have it, as long as it is not shoved down the throat of every player. Stations are griefing free zones and should stay like that. The worst that can happen in a station is being scammed and that must stay like that.

I would very much like if the short term focus for Incarna was on a three-fold approach:

- Avatar expression (emote system)
- Avatar customization (clothes, tattoos, hair styles, body elements etc)
- Avatar socializing (facilitating more avatars being in the same location as one another)

Customization, for the most part is stand-alone. Expression is tied to socializing though, so the issue with the graphical demands of having multiple avatars in the same location needs to be addressed. If we can get a system whereby the facility to invite a set amount of avatars to the same location is possible, then much has been achieved for future iteration.

I would talk about what type of environments and activities should follow these three themes, but that should be considered more long term, especially with just one Dev Team assigned right now.

I am unsure if the current team has the technical expertise to address the issues of having multiple avatars occupy the same CQs though, but perhaps the expansion of expression through emotes (likely through the chat system) could follow alongside the continued work on avatar customization.

Yet Incarna is not something which we can ignore. Not only is it inevitable, it is a fundamental necessity if EVE is to achieve any status greater than that of an awkward niche MMO from a strange, sulfuric island where people eat sheepGÇÖs heads willingly and believe in elves.

The Gender Problem: It might be a ~bit~ hypocritical for a comically over-privileged white male such as myself to bring this up, but EVE has a serious gender problem. Where other MMOs have begun narrowing the gender gap significantly, EVE remains almost purely the province of neckbearded men. This is not a good thing, though you almost couldnGÇÖt hear that fact announced over the background misogyny of the playerbase - from the old bromides about EVE being GÇÿtoo hard for girlsGÇÖ to the utter nonsense of GÇÿgirls donGÇÖt like spaceshipsGÇÖ. While it might be equally sexist of me to suggest this, my impression is that Incarna will bring more women into the playerbase. Not because it is GÇÿSpace BarbiesGÇÖ - and that willbe the line of the reactionary neckbeards, look out for it - but because of the introduction of a distinct GÇÿcharacterGÇÖ in the avatar engine. For whatever reason, it seems that men are more willing than women to look past EVEGÇÖs spreadsheet problem and suffer through the learning curve, where many female gamers write the game off as a waste of time during the crash course.

I noticed you seem to Bring up that Issler is pro-RMT every time you can't seem to think of anything to say. I may believe a lot of things about some of the CSM candidates but I will not sink to the level of out right lies. Even what you bring up for evidence doesn't even state RMT in EVE.

My knowledge of other MMO's out there is very limited I will admit due to my love of EVE, but I'm sure there are games out there that you can trade real money for in-game goods and bonuses allowing you to be more powerful in-game if you are rich in Real Life and do it legally according to those games EULA's
