Whilst I do understand your point and indeed whilst I have always been willing to understand Kublai's point of view, TNT does not operate in that way. Ransoming is not inherently bad and we make no pretense that it is so. The problem we have as TNT is that we believe that our word should mean something. If we say something then you can hold us to it. Therefore ransoming is useless to us, as if we allowed it, then it would mean allowing targets we had been paid to kill to go free and thus betraying our clients trust. If we allow it and encourage pilots to then betray the ransomee and take his money then blow him up well that would get us a reputation for being untrustworthy rapidly. If people wish to believe there is some sort of moral superiority or high ground to be claimed for being a liar then that is their prerogative. We choose to stay true to our word.
