Could you please add a comment ability for each tower.
A textbox on UI side (in editpos) and a TEXT field in database... Just so we can enter some quick notes into it, which are shown in the POS track list as a comment under tower name...
thanks

Hi All
I am trying to setup a reaction change @ 1 Tower.
Moon Harvester & Silo to Simple Reactor Then Simple Reactor & Silo to Complex Reactor & Silo.
I then Realized that a Simple reactor outputs 200 unit an Hour but a complex Reactor uses 100 an Hour.
Is this 100 unit an hour Lost????
If i put a Silo between the Simple & Complex reactor to hold the excess simple Reactant will this stop the 100 units being lost????
If this does stop the 100 units from being lost, How can a silo on the tracker be set-up to be used as an input & output???

It can't. The silo tracking functionality of pos-tracker is meant to be a simple tool to track basic production setups.

I think most just use the tower name for stuff like that. Maybe something like that will be in the next major version.

Edited by: Buckeroo Bonzai on 17/02/2010 18:52:43 Given the amount of information available from a players API key, how hard would it be to add a section in the "Production" area for people with labs running to track research being done? Given the amount of people running highsec towers for labs I would think this could be a very useful addition.
Also how does one add fuel to a corp hanger at the POS?? Seems there is a screen missing to show any fuel being stored at the pos for refueling.

Attempting to install this for the first time I'm able to get to the point where I receive the message:

But Write Config and Install Tables do not enable. I apologize if this has been addressed before but the only other post I read said something about hacking the code and I doubt that is necessary. Here is the rest of the info from my install screen:

That means the api info isn't being entered in correctly. xampp's default configuration also sometimes causes issues like that.

Hi there,
I am attemptiing to set this app up on my webhost and when I run the install.php, I get the following error:

Any suggestions?

Well after futzing and talking with some cohorts, its seems my error was relaed to a wrong PhP version on my webhost. So if anyone is coming up with a similar error double check your PhP version.
NOw a further question.... is it possible to have the APP automatically update the API once every hour or so?
That would be REALLY handy.

CRONTAB
0 */1 * * * curl http://www.domain.com/cron_updatepos.php
or
0 */1 * * * cd /web/domain && ./postrackercron.sh
2+ Hours would likely be better for this API call.
0 */2 * * * xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If you're on a windows server....... change to a *nix one.

So that you're not one of many hitting the server exactly on the hour...
Change the first zero to a number between 0 and 59, it's the minute of the hour that the script runs.

I have installed the latest version and it was working perfectly. Until yesterday, I was not getting any updates on the API data. I clicked on the update button for Alliance Info and it did not pull anything. Its giving me this error Error: String could not be parsed as XML
Now I have changed nothing. My API Key did not change but my corp did change Alliance so I gave it 24 hours to see if that had something to do with things. However Alliance Info does not use the API key so something else is going on. I suspect its something to do with my hosting since I can enter the URL and pull the XML myself. Also I have another API site thats now not working.
Any ideas what could be going on? I really think its my host but not sure what to tell Support to look for.

Edited by: z3ph on 25/02/2010 02:40:00 i dont know maybe it has already been answered here a few things:
sov friendly did not work in the beginning i had to adjust viewpos.php to get it to work.
for the production page it would be really helpful having a sorting option for remaining time, as some people have alot of silos therefore having something like a "critical time" status with colors as there is for the pos tracking would be really nice.
on the production view some people link 2 silos to each other that does work in the tracker but it would be more cool if it would show as one for the time left for the fillup.
also a button when viewing a specific pos to "update fuel over api" would be nice and for the fuel calculator acctually showing which isotopes are needed would be really cool aswell as if you have a lot of POS you cant remember out of the head which one needs which fueltype :)
cheers and good stuff ----------------------------- - why is my rapier broken? :( |

Maybe in a later version. Not really looking to add any new features until my next major version.

There is a fix in the issue tracker, I haven't had a chance to check it though

I've never really had that issue with remember fuel types, but we've never ran more then one or two types (normally caldari and amarr). As for the button, there is no point if your using cron as it should keep it updated.

also regarding the 2 silo link production calculation it doesnt do it right, as soon as it switches to the second silo the numbers go all weird, so therefore all the timers for the linked silos are wrong.
http://code.google.com/p/pos-tracker/issues/detail?id=17
its the issue that other guy reported and i also tried his "supposedly" hotfix, which gives me like minus values and stuff so i figure it doesnt really work. but the problem is the same. You set production up it all looks fine with time etc, after 2 days first silo gets full then all numbers act weird and timers are not right anymore.
oh yeah and the fuel calculator doesnt work, it doesnt take sov under account apparently for people who want their pos fueled fo a specific time (weekend timing) it would be nice to have that work. For max fuelage the difference values on viewpos are good.
also there seems to be a bug with either Shadow towers or some faction mods as i got whacky LO somewhere even tho all the values in the DB checked out but i didnt have time to analyze that further so far.
Cheers

The alliance and sov updates went reasonably fast, but registering (get character info) takes forever, and getting a POS update - well, it seems impossible.
Is there any way to debug (message) what is going on?
Thanks.

I created two patches to fix charters(hopefully) and some rounding issues (EVE actually uses two decimals in cargo values) against 3.0.0 RC 5.
- includes/class.pos.php
- check if tower needs charters uses value read via sql (not probablly non-existing global variable)
- rearrange rounding order in calculation of maximum tower cycles
- Caculating m3 of missing fuel based on missing fuel (was using optimal values)
- themes/posmanager/viewpos.tpl
- Fixed charter count/m3 fields
The Fuel Calculator also needs some lovin. It usses maximum values for lo/hw, not based on cpu/pg usage and it seems it doesn't care for charters at all. But I'm too lazy to fix that now.
Patch files: class.pos.php.patch viewpos.tpl.patch |

OK. There is a new PHP (5.2.13 released). Got that ported and included CURL. Every responding nicely.
* Input/Output: function (e.g. a silo provides input to a reactor, or does a silo output it's contents to a reactor)
* Coupling arrays do not show up in silo array * what is purpose/inout value of "Connected to" * Sov. Status is always hostile
** is there a wiki link/documentation I have missed somewhere?

thx alot for the great job, that issue about the install does nothing is related to register globals on or off,if at the first page you guys dont get register global reported as on or off the installation will stuck and will get that loop and nothing happening , solution try to ontact the hosting administrator , or place in the installation folder the file php.ini php.ini should look like this magic_quotes_gpc = Off; register_globals = Off; default_charset= UTF-8; memory_limit = 64M; max_execution_time = 18000; max_upload_filesize = 100M; safe_mode = Off; mysql.connect_timeout = 20; session.use_cookies = On; session.use_trans_sid = Off; session.gc_maxlifetime = 12000000;
hope this helps

I have the same issue. Alliance & Sov updates work but POS updates do not.
From cron the poscron.sh runs for a minutes or so and ends with no perceivable error. Updating from the Admin Panel runs for awhile and returns to the admin panel without updating and "Error: String could not be parsed as XML" displayed. This has not worked from the get-go.
Any assistance would be appreciated as the POSTracker webapp looks like a gem but if the POS API updates don't work I will have to revert to a spreadsheet which is a pain :(
