Meaning that somewhere in your local region a hop is feking up your connection to the Eve servers.

Meaning your service provider can't get along with EVE's service provider, and is (for some reason) blocking or sending packets somewhere else.

If you knew they ip addy of the server, you could open a cmd prompt window and do a tracert to it. You will see a drop about mid ways, meaning someone is not connecting to CCP's ISP.. _______________________________________________

Do a trace-route to 87.237.38.200, see if you get through or not, how many hops, best/worst reply time, if there's some loss on the way, etc.

Windows XP (and maybe Vista too, don't know): Click Start. Click Run (or whatever in local language). Type CMD and press Enter. Type Tracert 87.237.38.200 and press Enter. Let it do its thing and wait...
with that said, Denmark, Cybercity, getting poor connection after I hit Telenor connections, so maybe they have issues there...

Originally by: Rhivre Edited by: Rhivre on 12/08/2008 15:16:17 seems to be a problem at telenor, its getting stuck after there, then 3 hops later its working again, then losing 3 hops, then popping up again for 1 hop, then just getting timeouts all the way to the 30th.
EDIT: For reference, Telenor is cybercity, the norwegian version I assume
Yeah, well itŠs seems to be a big problem for many. LetŠs just hope they will solve it soon.

Telenor is actually Norwegian, with other local companies, like Cybercity and Sonofon in Denmark, operating under the Telenor brand. But since I cannot see the name of the server AFTER the last good Telenor connection, it's impossible to know if Telenor or the other end is at fault. If the next jump was another Telenor server, it's their fault. If not.... Who knows...

I bet its Telenor looks like it from my tracert even if I cant be 100% sure, Telenor is a big fail and since they took over BBB its gone from possibly the best ISP in the world to a very average at best.
