Nope, let them hear it, big time. They deserve nothing less.

Just called Cybercity too, confirming that the problem is AFTER Telenor. From what I was told, it looks like the IP for TQ was moved to a new server and somewhere along the route, looks like Holland, the DNS server has yet to be updated. The route from Denmark to TQ was rerouted to a single server in England before going back to Holland and becomes stuck there. WHY it does that, we could not guess. If this is actually the case, we cannot know for sure. But it looked to the supporter I talked to, like the problem was in Holland. Nothing he could do about that, so all we can do is wait.
Guess who needed to change skills

Edited by: Baske on 12/08/2008 15:50:30 Just talked to CyberCity support in Denmark. They know nothing as well..
Move it up there in Norway. (Telenor owns CyberCity)
Norwegians, rally up, get onto the streets, voice your concern, start a revolution.......do something !
Funny thing is that my TS died simultaneously, so I thought my connection was dead, untill i hit the browser button....

Sounds strange....since yesterday I could check the bredsbandbolaget homepage for a friend and today it times out totally. Telenor home page works fine but trying to look further at their issues page also times out. Tracert on both of these dies at ti9002b300.ti.telenor.net [195.66.225.107] then times out repeatedly. Doesn't really sound like a DNS updating issue somewhere in holland..... Sounds suspiciously like something internal to Telenor.

It's not the first time this happens. Took a couple of days last time to get it fixed irc.

2 days until my next skill ends. However, you should be able to tunnel through to the EVE servers from some place else who has connection to tranquility. Then you can atleast change skill, usually too laggy when ssh'ing so not worth playing.
Lets hope they sort the issue soon, i want to shoot something :-) Goldie |

So CCP: Seeing that we in Scandinavia and you on Iceland share the same heritage, I hope you will look favourably on any petitions resulting from this.
To Norway, TeleNor: Stick to Skiing, Oil drilling, breeding beautiful women and generally just being you. Emphasis on the women part obviously.
If it is a DNS re-route problem it wouldn't last this long. There is something else afoot .. **grrr** |

Quote: ti9002b300.ti.telenor.net
I have a similar-named server in my route, ti9002b300.ti.telenor.net-ae0-0, but mine shows another IP, 146.172.105.38. My support-guy did a little bit of haxoring and found out that the next server in line was not a telenor-server. It was the England one. As for it going off to Holland, it should actually do that, it usually does from what I remember of previous traces to TQ, but with the 4-5 different routes he took while talking to me, they all got stuck there. But as I said, we cannot know for sure what is happening. all we know is, I gotta change skills and I cannot connect |

I just tried creating a petition about this, but apparently we're all cut off from support.eve-online.com as well, so we can't access "My Petitions"...
But CCP, please put some pressure on Telenor to fix their problem |

hmm, now you mention it, I had problems with vent a couple of weeks ago, and the hops there were getting lost at the same place, oddly enough, the vent for EvE (danish type), worked fine, but the ones for my EQ2, Lotro and WoW guilds were unconnectable (english based).
that time, I couldnt get onto any uk websites at all, but it fixed itself overnight, hoping that it is the same this time.
