No, not really. As much as the Brucers wanted to deny it, PL killed BRUCE, be it intentional or not, and still much respect to them for pulling it off. I'm not exactly sure why so many other ex-BRUCEs have to try and invent reasons for the demise of the alliance and it being based to great internal betrayals than really one force outmaneuvering another. What are we doing, writing Gallente fan fictio....wait, too late?

but i must admit, they kill far over 100pose from you in the south, they took a dozen of station and they took over 3 regions from you, because you where not able to defend.
i must say that was much more than epic from RA, so after that background you should perhapes rename your lil "MAX" in "medium"

Sad to see the final end of RA if that is truly where they are at. They have a truly amazing history.
Engaging pos's and hearing that an RA hostile cap fleet just logged on always got the heart pumping  . Epic times.

2 edits and you still didn't get it right. BRUCE died for many reasons. Yes P-L was a big part, but its not the number one reason. Fried and his corp left the alliance (he had his corp m8's in not only the critical leadership positions, but all of the leadership positions) and threw in some nobody just before they dropped out. It was a cluster f*ck for those that were still in the alliance and the corps who needed fried to hold their hand on every move left the alliance to go sit on his lap in empire.
P-L was left with an alliance that was in a mess and gave it no chance for a rebound. They hammered Bruce until the new leadership quickly said stick a fork in me I'm done lets go back to Syndicate or empire and Bruce left fountain to go die quietly (for the most part).
But this is a thread about RA dieing isn't it.
Where is the empire gonna strike next? Gonna go for the coalitions jugular and hit Goonswarm or going to sit around waisting time in the north? |

This is an RA thread but for the record
PL was a homeless RSF pet alliance who were aimless after the RSF left Delve. Bob had many roaming ops to Fountain hat severely hurt BRUCE. See BOB killboards -> Fleet battles -> May. Particularly this battle hurt them http://www.killboard.net/fleetbattle/2330/
BRUCE then refused to fight BOB and had evacuated out of Y-2 and had internal issues. PL came along, had a few fights and with forum spam claimed they killed PL. Remember that BRUCE took Fountain without firing a shot to so where never really cut out to be a 0.0 alliance and Fountain is the pits hence PL live there.

BoB posts were more entertaining when all the members kept going back & forth between 'when' and 'if' they lost Delve, depending on the most recent days' events.
This RA stuff has been coming (and indeed taking place behind the scenes) since we pushed BoB out of Tenerifis. Jump bridges, before every group had several of their own titans, were all that held things back.
The spectre of the big scary RA taking unified action, when existential threats do not force matters, has been a convenient myth since that time. However, nearly all the groups will still cooperate with one another opportunistically, no matter what banners they fly under. In practice, this changes absolutely nothing except how cowardly those who fight Russian groups will behave. And less cowardly actions present greater opportunity for said opportunistic collaboration.

Wow look at this from the Bob alt. So far in this thread we have learned,
Bob has killed Ra by taking 3 stations from them in fade and pure blind o.0
Bob killed Bruce because they won a fleet fight where Bruce didn't load grid.
If all it takes is winning a handful of fleet fights and taking over a few stations then they should be able to kill off all the other alliances in eve pretty quickly.
