The dinner meal was delicious. All the while NC has been camping down VFK, and, VFK, and making the odd attempt at protecting neighbouring systems, we have been quite busy with removing all of RA's highend moons, as well as their infrastructure in the north. 5 stations has been capped, and various other stuff destroyed.

I happen to be privy to some extermly private information that I am not at liberty to discuss with anyone. But it confirms the allegation that Bapp destroyed the alliance by following a false lead on BOB spies.
So, it seems, the mighty RA is no more, it's a dead parrot. The future will tell us what will become of the remnants of RA. Interesting to note, is that none of the entities are going with Mactep, they are all scattering.

If this indeed would be the end of RA its quite a sad day, for being around for so long and having had
such strong characters in them over the years EVE will be a slightly duller place.
And for the trolls; I dont see Bob taking any credit (in the OP anyway) for killing RA.
I do see it that they, if this comes down to RA really disapearing, have outlived yet another super power.

The fact is BoB hasn't killed anyone of note since ASCN. All of the "MAX" silliness screams of trying desperately to live up to their own hype and to be frank I'm not sure whether all of the transparent and corny MAX MAX MAX (does nothing at all) crap coupled with the constant claiming of credit for others accomplishments is meant to fool their own people or the rest of eve? This game still revolves in circles, and the circle of the East is on a downward spiral.
Like it or not the eastern pack made then choice to turn on those around them, rightly or wrongly, and they have weakened any mutual support in the process.
At this point in time Both the NC and Ragoon pact have never looked more vulnverable since their rise 2 years ago in Ragoons case or since the last rebuild in NC's case, and in isolating themselves from each other they may have both sealed their fate long term.
Personally i think it can only be good for the game, the smaller alliances have really been struggling to take hold any territory outwith the super pacts control. My only gripe would be that GBC probably hit their weakest point several months ago and their strength can only go upwards, however that is only if they have the willpower to take advantage which would lead to them dominating the game further potentially as the solo Superpac in the game. Which is still one to many - (the circle continues)
Interesting to see AAA growing recently, are they finally going to get out of their shell and move from a regional dominance to full map players for control.

All goon talk aside if this is true then it really is a memorable/somewhat sad day in eve, as RA(the name) has been a column of undeniable power in the game since I started playing (not giving credit to bob for its collapse). Credit where credit is due I would say.

You'd have to be stupid to give credit to either BOB or bapp-whatever-his-name-is to what has internaly been happening to the Red Alliance.
The alliance has been abandoning it's founding objectives and goals for the last months...
Not sure you can say RA's dead though, but what is sure is that from already a few weeks maybe months ago the Solar Fleet/XIX powerblock replaced what we had called the "russian bear cavalery".
Also interesting to see the Rebellion block evolving through Red Alliance's 4-years-ago objectives and mentality.
South just became more interesting.

Its a bit lol all these posts from people on either side posting like they know what is going to happen next. None of you (or I ofc) with the possible exception of Omeega really has any idea.
If the opp is true all these RA corps are going to alliances who are blue to each other or would at least co-operate against a common enemy. If they are reinvigorated by not angsting against each other its probably bad news for the GBC. If on the other hand they take their rivalries and disputes with them, well the southern coalition would be dead and the south-east a shitstorm.

I guess the impact it has on the "Max" campaign will depend on how many RA members move on and where they move to. If a massive chunk reform to other entities that are close with NC and Goons then it will be just a shuffling of the deck chairs from a leadership perspective.
It will be interesting times, it will be interesting to see how many RA people move on and more importantly, where they move to.

RA has been close to death several times in the past. The only difference here is that someone might have been opportunistic enough to take advantage before things calmed.
Any positive military action only serves to exacerbate internal issues. In that regard, partial credit is due for good timing if RA does indeed kick the bucket.
Still, the preemptive defensive is kind of funny. Its like scrubbing the deck of the Titanic as it goes down.

We did not kill RA. We added pressure to a already pressured alliance. We killed 85 of their POS. We took some stations, we downed oodles of cynojammers for them, all while they failed to defend.
We did not kill RA. We are even now awaiting the public post from RA that is supposed to come on monday.

I wouldn't care about a Dozen dyspro/promethium moons either to be honest.
I'm not going to pretend I really know anything about the details of RA internal affairs, but if your alliance had just put up all the towers, setup all the reaction chains, secured the area, and then had it all taken away you don't think that it would cause some internal drama?
Typically there's shuffling of who/where the new isk is going when new moons/regions are taken. Couple that with the fact that they never really had time/reason for a decent withdrawal of the new assets, and it's going to be a problem. Not enough to break RA by any means, they have persevered through far worse times than losing a region far from their base of operations, but add that to an already strained alliance and it just adds to the turmoil.
And the whole, taking moons/stations they didn't care about defense. I love how when bob loses regions and moons that they never even tapped it's some huge accomplishment, but when it's some other alliance giving stations/moons up without really defending it, who have tapped into all of the resources, it's really no big deal.
Amazing propaganda, and I personally really miss my 3 promethium moons and 1 dyspro moon I had gobbled up in and around feyth because BOB as an alliance never bothered, wonder if they didn't bother as part of some crazy master plan....hmmmmmm

No, not really. As much as the Brucers wanted to deny it, PL killed BRUCE, be it intentional or not, and still much respect to them for pulling it off. I'm not exactly sure why so many other ex-BRUCEs have to try and invent reasons for the demise of the alliance and it being based to great internal betrayals than really one force outmaneuvering another. 2 edits and you still didn't get it right. BRUCE died for many reasons. Yes P-L was a big part, but its not the number one reason. Fried and his corp left the alliance (he had his corp m8's in not only the critical leadership positions, but all of the leadership positions) and threw in some nobody just before they dropped out. It was a cluster f*ck for those that were still in the alliance and the corps who needed fried to hold their hand on every move left the alliance to go sit on his lap in empire.
P-L was left with an alliance that was in a mess and gave it no chance for a rebound. They hammered Bruce until the new leadership quickly said stick a fork in me I'm done lets go back to Syndicate or empire and Bruce left fountain to go die quietly (for the most part).
But this is a thread about RA dieing isn't it.
Where is the empire gonna strike next? Gonna go for the coalitions jugular and hit Goonswarm or going to sit around waisting time in the north? |

This is an RA thread but for the record
PL was a homeless RSF pet alliance who were aimless after the RSF left Delve. Bob had many roaming ops to Fountain hat severely hurt BRUCE. See BOB killboards -> Fleet battles -> May. Particularly this battle hurt them http://www.killboard.net/fleetbattle/2330/
BRUCE then refused to fight BOB and had evacuated out of Y-2 and had internal issues. PL came along, had a few fights and with forum spam claimed they killed PL. Remember that BRUCE took Fountain without firing a shot to so where never really cut out to be a 0.0 alliance and Fountain is the pits hence PL live there.

BoB posts were more entertaining when all the members kept going back & forth between 'when' and 'if' they lost Delve, depending on the most recent days' events.
This RA stuff has been coming (and indeed taking place behind the scenes) since we pushed BoB out of Tenerifis. Jump bridges, before every group had several of their own titans, were all that held things back.
The spectre of the big scary RA taking unified action, when existential threats do not force matters, has been a convenient myth since that time. However, nearly all the groups will still cooperate with one another opportunistically, no matter what banners they fly under. In practice, this changes absolutely nothing except how cowardly those who fight Russian groups will behave. And less cowardly actions present greater opportunity for said opportunistic collaboration.

Wow look at this from the Bob alt. So far in this thread we have learned,
Bob has killed Ra by taking 3 stations from them in fade and pure blind o.0
Bob killed Bruce because they won a fleet fight where Bruce didn't load grid.
If all it takes is winning a handful of fleet fights and taking over a few stations then they should be able to kill off all the other alliances in eve pretty quickly.

All that would happen is what happened last time, the BoB forces would hole up in a couple of key cynojammed systems with multiple round the clock titan cover and it would be near impossible to winkle them out because of the DD coupled with system cap issues, all the while it would be blobby, laggy, people would be getting no action whatsoever and pilots would get ****ed off, bored and stop showing up (again, what happened last time).
edit: and ffs please dont start with the "bob managed to take down a cynojammer so its not impossible" posts as the NC are not BoB.

How would you recommend that people 'join forces not in former coalition style'?
As an aside, I don't think there are enough people who dislike BoB enough these days, to be motivated to do that. I think there is more appetite to killing the NC from the general eve populous, than in killing BoB.
