But they do understand the lag game, and the advantage of loading the grid first, or at least loading it in its entirety before pew pew commences.
Ahh, finally a post that makes sense among the mindless drivel. It seems that what matters in this game isn't how good your strategy/fleet/FC is but how developed is your understanding of lag patterns.
It didn't matter as much in the early days but now with multi billions ships involved...
In order to be a winner, you need Lag Warfare trained to V, all others skills are truelly secondary

No, st00pid, its clearly his low character id which gives him an advantage. 4 Years would make it very low.

Luthien Firefoot,
The reason why the systems lag like that are because of drones. Often, if you have a 200 man fleet - or sometimes as few as 100 - when you attack pos structures with massive amounts of drones it will lag out an entire node to a crawl.
This is a game mechanics problems as well as a server performance problem.
This is a well known fact in alliance warfare, and unless a node is upgraded; you can expect more of the same.

While we all know this to be the case yet, when you petition for a extreme lag ship loss, you get, "There must be a software conflict", or "Your internet connection is at fault". As long as CCP does not acknowledge their deficiencies they do not have to reimburse you for your ship.

Im only a lowly grunt and even i know...
1) Whoever is on grid first (ADVANTAGE) 2) Drones= Lag (Fighters=Crazy Lag)
There are a few small other things/factors- EVEmail me for LAG UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION (100mil isk for all your lagging needs)
Let this be a lesson to people to always have scouts in and around all their important systems so you can protect somthing before its too late (lagged) I mean...did nobody notice all those BOB ships hanging around ZLZ?
lol...this just sounds like pure didnt have scouts in place...and it doesnt seem like they have spies in bob either (but then again if they had a character in BOB, why would they play for pure? =\ )
btw- i think last night TVN was shareing the NODE with ZLZ--- we had 100+ peeps in there too.. so it is totally understandable where the lag came from. Only thing that needs to happen is for CCP to figure out which systems need to be reinforced in a more timely manner.

I post here with my Icelandic Penguin at my side and come to realize that the OP has continued on and on about losing a fight to BOB & GBC. It is never the first time that a post about my own alliance has created more controversy. Lot of people welcome the emorage since that is what fuels many to continue to beat down on the matter at hand. When you have 400+ people in one system and 300 or more right next door, it is difficult to have a fight. The experience of playing this game comes to a steady halt as lot of people in empire have difficulty traveling as one cluster is reinforced to compensate for the sov battle going on at the time.
While one side gathers the numbers and the other is ready to put it all on the line, there is no way that you can say that we do not get lag too. The truth is NC brings a large fleet but does nothing apart from sitting behind pos shields or camping a system day in and day out. Then when GBC comes, they're still in the same place as they were before day in and day out behind pos shields or camping that one system again. The progress overtime showed that the motivation of the NC dwindled as each system and station system fell to GBC. Most of them fell back or made their own variation of a 'Tactical Withdrawal' of Microgang Rotations. Pure and Hydra were falling victim to a rekindled Triumvirate in which MM, Razor and close allies moved to TVn to support their friends.
The fall of VFK came which prompted GBC to move over to Vale which is where it stands now. How this next upcoming chapter of our campaign will be written we will never know for sure. However, the fact still remains, I will be around and so will many of our allies while I leave a bit of advice for the OP: Sort Your Life Out!

Sorry, I have to post in response.
I have flown against and with BoB, I was with Tribal Souls when BoB liked to come down for some fun and games. I flew with BoB in Executive Outcomes and later just in RDEX.
When In tribal Souls we had a fleet battle where a ship that had several hundred BM's in it's hold was killed - suddenly there was the most awful lag. We accused BoB at the time of Lag tactics.
However, I have flown with BoB, and I learned how they win battles.
They are simply better....Better prepared, better ships, better tactics, better FC's.
You want to beat BoB. be as good as they are. It's as simple as.
Don't whine. Just do.

While we were getting our asses handed to us a few years back, people came with the "OMG BoB must be cheating" posts with FURIOUS ANGER AND NERDRAGE.
Everybody is infiltrated with alts, guys. Don't you think that if there was a magic lag tactic that they knew about somebody would have dropped the evidence on the forums by now?

Remember POS bowling? BoB did it for months, and when petitioned the official answer was "it's cool".
Then one day BoB gets bowled and... within hours a GM appears in local and says "that's very not cool, do it again and get banned".
Yeah, then you add rigged events, favours, GMs handing free shit, Aurora and ISD managers completely bent to Molle's will, a CCP worker spawning t2 bpos for himself, with his corpmates knowing...

I have a similar story with BoB and log on traps they used to do to us in great northern war, as soon as we started using the same tactic it became a bannable offense. -

CCP changed the log on trap game mechanics by making logged of ships warp of the spot they were at. They used to log off in front of player conquerable station for example and log on their fleet on at the same time and immediately start shooting. But before they made this change we were warned not to use this tactic or else the ban stick. -
