Originally by: Venomire There was no hacking involved, at all. Prior to it's switch to unicode, the client was hacked to translate it into languages other then english, but that wasn't done by us.
Both things, however, were seen as "good things" by CCP and later implemented in the client (standings in local, unicode support).
What doesn't make sense to me is how your able to even post? After the picture you posted the other day, anyone else would have been perma-banned.
Nice work.
Why, there is a simple explanation.
I'm GM Gandalf.

How about we all get together and have a nice little orgy? It'll take your mind off things...
BoB has and always will be controlled by GMs. It's ok though, cause its members are employing plausible deniability. Like the President doesn't know that Area 51 exists, the members of BoB are content in the ignorance that they obviously have some sort of Guardian Member, most likely a few, watching over them, and facilitating their luck. --

yes, facts..........
Did BoB cheat in the past? Yes. It happened long time ago and there was even a CCP blog entry about it.
Did BoB recruit among alliances that we killed or helped to kill? Hell, RKK is mostly shinra, not to mention the ex RISE, Veritas, FIX, and so on.
Did BoB lose in the past? Yes, when people stopped buying that "invincible" crap and started fighting back.
And i'm still wondering how was dinner in Nol?

Presidio, your selective memory is reaching into fiction for inspiration. There were accusations of logon traps, but for a completely different reason. PA complained because BoB members left TS open during slow periods and would log in whenever somebody sounded the alarm that something was happening. The same with alliances and IRC/Jabber today.
The mechanics were changed shortly after CE turned it into a surgical strike tactic for entire gangs.
PS: Login traps are bannable offenses Mr Goon, its just that you can't perform one under current mechanics unless you're cheating in some other way.

As one of PA's fleet commanders I remember log on traps perpetrated by BoB since I was there, I got no reason to make this stuff up, it's water under the bridge for me. Once we started employing the same tactic we got a warning from CCP. It's kind of funny that 3 years later different people are recounting similar stories of CCP's favoritism towards BoB, and you're still in the same position of having to defend yourself. Given BoB's past with the T20 incident on top. Who's story do you think it's more believable? Sorry bud I think you're wasting your time. -

Gee guys just admit it Bob et al - do it better than the rest, they can actually use intelligence intelligently. They don't need any help.
Circle of 2 - man the only time you attack is when you have a 13 to 1 ratio (drakes make up 90% of force) and when someone uses those odds against you man you cry like a baby. How many ships did you loose in 3 days? Think I got killmail for 7 of your ships - you killed my shuttle.
Good thread funniest stuff read in ages.

Edited by: DraggyDissBot on 31/08/2008 20:30:17 Normally I wouldn't dirty my fingers with crap like this but considering the response from the accused to the poster.....must be something to it.
I admit i haven't been reading much in CAOD but seriously, when is there ever this much of an incredible magnitude of a responses from the Brigade of Brainless unless they are trying to mass together to play it off what ever it may be. There have been so many responses in here from the bobettes in an obvious attempt to discredit the accusations you really need to wonder. Why so many responses? There are so many other things you could be doing in attacking the north, where do you find the time? Is there something to all of this? Do you have something to hide? Or is it that all of the action your finding in the north isn't what was promised and you have to get your kicks in CAOD instead? From any perspective the entire thing is laughable really. Especially for bob.
Here's an idea for you bobbettes though. Have all of your pets, as proud as they might be to be pets I'm sure they would jump at the chance, disolve their alliances and all join a new alliance called the:
Nuggets Incharge of Everything Labor-ish
That way you would have: Band Of Brothers
and
Nuggets Incharge of Everything Labor-ish
Kewl idea huh? That way everything would be easily explainable when people ask themselves why you are attacking them, they will see your coilition name and say, "Oh i see. they just got sick of being in their own space doing the old BOB and NIEL routine at home."

And i'm still wondering how was dinner in Nol?
Late and bad.. dude the dinner in NOL was like this...
Some BoB guy came in a car ( a decent one ) , goons came in their donkeys complaining it was poluting the vacuum and slowed their march because the donkeys lost sight of the system about 5 jumps away so they had to stop for a bit, causing lots of trafic in the pipe.
From the Northern intersection came IRON, these came in bicicles, but complained of the trafic was laggin them out and the car smoke was making them cough, so they had to pull with the goons.
Then came MiHi, RZR, PURE and about the rest of eve, by this time the policeman CCP hired to control trafic lost all north and somewere along the lines a goon dunkey carrying Darius hitted the gate, causing the donkey to fart and rebound on a RZR capital that crashed due to lack of anti-fart hardeners, the gate went offline and 3000 pilots in pilgrimage to the dinner accumulated in the system, all the vapors generated by sweaty northerners and the goon donkey manure caused the hamsters at CCP to take turns for fresh air at the windows while staring at the models that CCP hired to make the modeling for the exotic dancers in ambulation.
Now at this time the whole dinner party cryed in unisson... " LAG!HAX!DEVS!XPLOIT! " ... and Molle was angry... BoBits were at the table cring they were hungry, your ghey FC was stalking the waiter, the coalition was crying only 3 jumps out and MOLLE'S meat was getting overcooked.
Now the smoke cleared , the dancers came inside and the Coalition party for the dinner arrived...big big problem, the bouncer has asking for invitations and Goons came up with " BBQ2006 - INVITES " , now errr we were in 2007 so the 2006 invites had expired, plus the exotic dancers were females and the sweaty men from the north were at risk here, the goonies weren't attracted by the oposite sex, ( Hello they ride dunkeys man what you expect=!?! ) , SMASHKILL took the first hits, literally, and quickly succumbed to the Goons apetites... Molle was despairing " WHAT ABOUT MY MEAT!? ... One thousand bobits cried in agony " WE'RE HUNGRY!!! "
Now luckily for me i had some cookies in my ship and was watching the whole mess ( cloaked OFC ) , and i noticed Goons in their rampage for the sweaty man from the north left RZR/PURE/MiHi while having their wa.. party with SMASHKILL, well goons let the donkeys... well not plain old donkeys, but spaceflying-battle-donkeys armed with carrot launchers and best named hardeners, "some were honor tanked", well anyways with Molle terribly upset and the meat already burned he looked at the window, someone whistled, and TA-DA!! the donkeys!!!
Unfortunately due to animal-rights i am not going to report what happened to the Goons battledonkeys, YET! i can assure that the sweaty man from the north that remained fought their best for the poor animals lives and they fought until the last carrot was exausted from the ammo basket!
Anyways this was not good enough, evidently and MOLLE's rage was now at a MAX!, /me shakes in fe4r!!!! , bobits emo raged, their bank savings spent in exotic dancers and hot meat, the northerners left NOL's gardens, also known as the surrounding systems, pratically covered with litter, nononononon!!! WEVENGE!!!
Turning the tides of war bob went searching for goons, that had finished with the other half of the sweaty man ( SMASHKILL ) , now anyways the rest of the north SWEARED REVENGE ON THE DONKEY SLAUGHTER!!!! ( emo-nerdrage and full bateries included!! )
So this leads us to ... today.
BoB are battling valiantly in the north against the sweaty men that vowed to defend the donkey's honor.
And yes the dinner was spoiled and thats what this whole MAX deal is all about... _____________________________________

Those stories are just that. They're a safety net for people with too much pride to admit their loss was legit.
You don't need to be defensive and butthurt to speak against it. It's a huge ego buff when your enemy can't even comprehend the magnitude of their defeat, and rubbing salt on the wound only makes it funnier. More rational alliance mates no longer want to associate with those speaking gibberish on their behalf. That's why RZR gets props here.
Anyone fighting to be number one is going to get treated to a hailstorm of accusations. That's just the way heavy competition works.

I am not inventing what I experienced fighting BoB I have no reason to, I put all the differences between myself and BoB long time ago. I will be the first one to say that I admire Shrike's ability as a leader.
T20 deal is a known fact, CCP came out and admitted it. Not because CCP felt they were doing anything wrong but because the truth came out due to a certain whistle blower (Kungustmen) and CCP was doing damage control. How many other things BoB received in form of intel, information, blueprints...? We will never know.
You can't fault anyone for not suspecting other foul play committed by BoB given the history though. I just speak of my experience with fighting the "#1" I should know I spent a year fighting them.
And I will be the first one to say that BoB is a formidable foe even without all the cheating. BoB is(was, not sure how many of the oldtimers still play) relentless which was their biggest true quality if you ask me as someone who shared a single system with them for a year (BKG).
Now I understand many of BoB's true accomplishments are shrouded with a cloud of doubt generated due to cheating. And this is really unfortunate. But who can we fault for this? The answer is easy, those who cheated. -

The current generation of BoB is just as good as the past. In some ways we are more strict, in some ways we are less strict.
The GNW was epic for its time, yes, but we don't dwell on it because EVE brings larger and greater challenges as time passes. Whatever interpretation of events you decide to keep is up to you, but the true account of the GNW and everything underneath it is in our memories, as is with all the engagements we have been involved with that had conflicting interpretations. I'd even say that our ability to see the right angle of things and assimilate the proper lessons (and especially the proper people) is what keeps us on the top.
To the OP, why not try and infiltrate the GBC with an alt? You are more than welcome to see how we do things for yourself as long as you are able to spy properly and not be detected by us.

The old bob used to have their pets sit at home and was proud of BoB winning on their own. No Allies just BoB. The new bob has their pets making up 40%-50% of their gangs with crap like all t1 bs sniper fits and t1 hac fits. I know the stakes are really high for BoB and your trying to keep your alliance together with this MAX bs but do you really have to throw out the old BoB standards? Oh wait, you had help back then. |

BS. Everyone that has ever complained has had the same reason; they have been beaten, decimated, bent over, dismantled, urinated upon, embarrassed, disemboweled, ridiculed, and impregnated by BoB.
My response will always be the same: Suck less at Eve.
When you start actually beating BoB, I promise you will think we are cheating less.
regarding t20, my last post still works:
Originally by: Homo Erectus yea. last night before i went to bed i was sitting there just thinking: why? why go to bed. i mean, i should probably just sell my bed. then i should quit eve and format my hdd. then probably sell the whole computer and my crap ugly 28" LCD that some Toshiba executive spawned for me. then i should take a good hard look in the mirror, become enraged and break my fist on it then use the broken pieces to slash my throat and kill myself.
i mean seriously, what other choice do i have after some guy i didn't know, in some corp i didn't know he was in, used his god powers with a job i didn't know he had, to do some real world/eve ending stuff that i didn't know he did?
or wait. maybe everyone who is still crying about BoB cheating should try a different approach:
suck less at eve.
Please get some new material, you unskilled peasants.
