Disaster! I broke the heel of my favourite pair of shoes today.
Where's a good place to buy shoes in the Khanid Kingdom?
Yes. Yes, I am. |

Oh dear.
I won't mock you, I hate it when I break a heal as well. I haven't flown Khanid territory in quite some time, but I do remember this nice little boutique on Oris that had some shoes to die for.

I hate it when that happens!
There is a great shop on Khanid Prime that will make them according to your specifications... They have a scanner that will record the exact size and shape of your feet, and then you can specify exactly what kind of shoe or boot you are after... Material, colour, heel height, detailing etc etc.
That service costs a bit extra, and it can take up to a week to actually get your new shoes. They do have a large selection of pre-made items you can buy, but I prefer to get mine custom-made anyway.
The shop is called Kiriko's Boutique. If you decide to have a look, tell them Kimmy says hi!

Not a big fan of heels myself, but the best place for footwear I've ever seen was in Jaschercis at the FedMart Retail Center. They have the size and backing to keep everything you might want on hand, and the staffing to help you for hours on end.
I know Everyshore isn't exactly the kingdom, but it's a nice little region, and I might retire there one day. It has a certain indefinable charm.

Really? I've been looking for a place to get a new pair of knee high heels.
It's so hard to find a premade pair of shoes that don't need the week of "breaking in" so they don't give you blisters.
I'm tempted to chance Empire security forces in a Shuttle or an Ares just to see this place... do they do delivery?

They will deliver, but you will need to make an initial trip to their shop in order to get your feet scanned, if you plan on using their custom service.
They'll make pretty much any design you can come up with... I had them make some gorgeous black patent knee-high heels for me a while ago... I've absolutely fallen in love with them!

Thigh-highs are good for certain occasions (or moods), but I wouldn't wear them all the time.
I much prefer wearing boots with a slightly thicker heel on a day-to-day basis as I find them more comfortable to wear. Killer stilettos are more often reserved for evenings out for me.

I wonder how you managed to break them in the first place. they must of been quite cheap, made by a slave of someones no doubt. Yours?

Hmm? How did I break the heel? Is that what you're asking?
Well, I was riding my favourite sex partner, while our house-girls tickled us with feathers and lashed us with whips, when I needed to adjust my position to achieve the best contact, whereupon unfortunately I caught my heel on the bedpost.
Or, I was travelling to a party at my cousin's hotel, opened the door of my ground-car, stepped out, and caught my heel on the kerb.
Pick whatever explanation suits your prejudices best.
But enough of this. Lets talk about shoes!

It's a sorry state of affairs when someone attempts to turn a simple discussion about footwear into a debate about the slave trade.
But yes, more shoes please!

Oh,yes, that's true, Captain Rendar. Captain Kaho also makes a good point that they're good for clubbing.
But yes, I had my thigh-highs, but now I don't. And I think I know who has them. I should be angry, but it's not like I go out much nowadays, so if she has a use for them, perhaps that's all for the best.
Cousin, no, it's not about the boots. And was that why you arrived barefoot?

Not being very social, I hardly ever wear shoes of a glamourous nature. Oh wait! There is this small pair of Artificial serpent skin heels I wear to our presentations at times. Uylear is the sharp dresser, not I. He has many shoes I think. I rarely see him these days.

No, no. We are on the same ship. It is vast and I think its more to do with our work at the moment. My husband is not a man of dishonour in that way at all. If he sneaked some aides onto this ship, I'd know about it.

She can't. Not now. I am sorry to interupt your ladies debate, but Miss Uylear is needed on the holo-mat observation deck. We have made an exciting discovery and her expertise in residual quantum vacumms are most needed.
*The camea flicks off, then back on, Uylear walking back into frame*
By the way, those skin boots she owns. Kisogo we were in when I bought her them. Kisogo? yes, for sure. Some scholar makes them to fund his studies. I bought myself some featherd boots made from genuine Reganalia Grebes.

This is my general practice as well, you can never go wrong with black.
However, for clubbing, I actually prefer something that I can take off (strappy little sandals). Dancing is something best done barefoot.
