Kennedy Lincoln	Posted - 2008.10.13 00:59:00 - [1] Ok. I got pod'd yesterday. I'm 8 months on Eve and this aint the first time but I want to complain. Is this the correct forum? I want everyone to know who these guys are so you can avoid them. I was ratting in .4 system and a guy enters. I called out to him asking if he's a pirate (.23 sec stats). He says no - it's ok to rat. 1/2 hour ltr a badass shows up and the first guy and badass tackle me. My 1 warp stab was not enough to bail out. I surrendered. They wanted ISK which I delivered. They STILL pod'd me! Ok I am not naive and will no longer trust anyone but I'm looking for retribution. I want everyone to know these guys are liars and cheats. I wnat to post their ID's so others will know. Can I do that here? Where else then? Why is there no place to complain when some one is a total a-hole? Where are the good people? Why aren't the good people out hunting the trash low-lifes so it has more equalibrium in EVE?

I was flying around in my Vexor, saw 2 guys in local, one of whom I saw was a pirate (didn't check the other 1), so I sat at a safe spot. The pirate left, at which point the other guy pretended to be ratting and asked me to join him. I, being a noob, believed that he wasn't a pirate, and warped in to him... ... big flashy box on overview ... oops. Tackled, and soon I was in armour with a thorax and a bunch of hammerhead II's hitting me. I was just able to tank him so long as I kept him webbed (yes I was out looking for a fight), and put my drones on his to keep them out of the fight. He was slowly going down, but then his friend from before warped in and started blasting me from close range. I only had 1 web, no guns, and a couple of my drones were dead, so I couldn't do much at this point. I soon popped, got my pod out, and gave them both a 'good fight' in local. So yeah, that was my first, and by no means my last encounter with the local pirates in Everyshore region. Also, as everyone else has said, I suggest you post the names here - dishonouring ransoms is bad for business for all pirates - I'm sure they'll want to know who to blame for their reduced income. In the low sec and 0.0 systems that will say something and turn around and do another. If you see someone warp in where you are forget your cargo and just warp out. Your ship is more vaulable then your cargo. If they say we want isk and we will let you go never take that as a good sign if someone in a low sec system asks you for isk and you cannot warp away the only other option in that position is too figure out whichone is the weakest out of the two and target him first atleast try and fight back and take one of them out with you.

As I see it never enter lowsec in something you dont intend to loose, be in an empty jumpclone and use a PvPfit for your ship , or at least a fit that allows you to escape(mwd , warp stabs etc) Ideally you should have a few cloaked recons waiting to back you up but for most of us that is not an option.

The point of the whole discussion was whether a ransom was worthy of pyaing. If you are a pirate - tell all of your pirate ***s two things: 1) More and more people will not pay ransom because it is not honored and 2) I will hunt you and all of your low-life pirate *** freinds and pod you. I'm 8 months on Eve and this aint the first time but I want to complain. Is this the correct forum? I want everyone to know who these guys are so you can avoid them. I was ratting in .4 system ........ I called out to him asking if he's a pirate ....... They wanted ISK which I delivered. I bolded your mistakes Well well well. You complete boob. The point of the whole discussion was whether a ransom was worthy of pyaing. If you are a pirate - tell all of your pirate ***s two things: 1) More and more people will not pay ransom because it is not honored and 2) I will hunt you and all of your low-life pirate *** freinds and pod you. Please copy down my name so you remember me so I can enjoy your loss of craft and ISK. I will enjoy it. I bolded your mistakes etc.

So when are you going to edit your OP to reflect the fact that the pirate was indeed honourable and true to his word paid you back for an accidental podding. Are you also going to spread the word that pirates are true to their word and make good their mistakes even to a-holes like you? Are you going to apologise to the pirate community for calling them all cheats and liars? Are you going to try to resolve your disputes ingame first in the future before whining and *****ing like a little crybaby on the forums? I doubt it. Anyone who fits warp stabs on a lowsec combat ship would be far too cowardly to admit they made a mistake.

If your ransom was dishonoured, well that sucks. To everyone crying about not paying ransoms, you know absoultely nothing. Most good pirate corps will offer and honour ransoms, and if they don't, the member gets booted. This is part where I add thet BYDI honours all ransoms. Additionally, don't vent all your emorage on these forums. You hate pirates, that's good. You'll need it. Form an anti-pirate corp and come actively hunt us. We would hate that.
