We got dec'd by some CVA alt/friendly corp called The Order of the Bloody Handed God. A three man corp with 2 active players and one alt placeholder it seems.
All they do is hang in Tash Murkon, on the wide dock range stations using trimarked passive stationbait ships. Sometimes they do login traps as well. They dec'd a few other corps around TMP too. Basically it looks like they're just griefing, which is funny because CVA are the people who like to protect others from griefers.
Anyways, they have us dec'd and all they do is cry in local about our tactics. They claim we blob. Apparently we're not allowed to field all of our online pilots against the 2 of them. Apparently that is lame. I mean, when we dec corps or get decd and we're outnumbered, we certainly aren't going to complain. It's sort of idiotic to dec a larger corp with 2 active players then sit and complain about blobs or people helping one another.
So the war is going on 2 weeks now and they got 1 kill using a login trap. No biggie. They've lost a few 3 or 4 Megathrons, an Ishtar, Vexor, Brutix and a Navy Mega and got one kill against a Hurricane of ours.
Tonight The Psyclone is in TMP asking my corpmate Sudoken for a 1vs1. I said don't do it. They can't be trusted. I said to do it out of system and off a station. Psyclone wanted it on a station only. Seems a bit fishy, no? I mean if you want a 1vs1 and you're confident it's going to be honored, then do it off a gate or station so you can be assured a kill.
Instead they agreed to do it at a planet. We stand by just in case. They go at it and Psyclone starts losing. He calls in Serenity Celestine to remote rep him in a Logistics ship.

My other corpmate shows up to chase the Oneiros off and pop goes Psyclone. Then the both of them have the nerve to cry in local. They call foul because my corpmate fitted for the fight. We had killed Pysclone enough to know his fittings so he fit appropriately. He engaged my guy before and he knew what he flew.
We never touched Psyclone or helped out our corpmate. It was a square fight and CVA once again are sore losers.

Anyone ever heard of this? I mean most people I know will fit to counter an opponent in a prearranged 1vs1. It's a smart tactic and definitely not a weak move. I've never heard of it complained about before.
I like how CVA is a RP corp but these guys like to toss out homophobic slurs and insults in local.
All in all a bunch of sore losing, smack talking griefers who cry when they lose and crow when they win. Don't trust any of these guys. They asked for a 1vs1 and got it on their terms and broke it.

CVA arent so bad, but they have (and this is imo unavoidable) got some bad eggs lurking in the ranks.
The actions of a derisory minority speak for themselves really, thanks for bringing this up.

If CVA wants a reputation of honoring 1-v-1's, then they need to kick members who don't, and reimburse any losses that resulted from dishonored engagements (not required in this particular case). Simple really.

Ok, so they don't honour 1vs1s... fair enough if they wish to do that, I suppose, although most people would regard them as cowards for it.
But to cry about you fitting your ship too well, when they have initiated the dec, initiated the 1vs1, blatantly dishonoured the 1vs1... well, that = fail.

last time I agree'd to a 1v1 vs a CVA guy, I was in an arbitrator and he was in a hurricane, and was gang warped to an large tower that was pretty heavily armed, still got out tho, so I'm not surprised at all.
CVA are a pretty terrible alliance, massive blue list of carebears, CVA themselves were not bad a year or so back, but these days CVA is the cornerstone of a massive napfest with very little substance.

My Experience with CVA has been that they honour their 1vs1's. Had a lot of interceptor duals with them and they have all gone smoothly. Someone from Sylph alliance dishonoured a 1vs1 with me once but a Sylph Director reimbursed my loss and gave him hell so it's all good. Send the forum link to this to a CVA diplomat or something and you might have some luck in getting him removed.
I've had a few duals dishonoured by residents of the Providence region, not any of the sov holders, but a few small alliances that reside there. See Here. And a few other small alliances around there in the past I do not recall.

Having had first hand experience of flying with TRAPS I can tell you all and specifically the CVA people referenced in Nexa's post if they are reading this that TRAPS always fight fair and always honour their word.
The reason they will always do this is twofold, firstly it annoys the hell out of you when you lose to them and secondly Nexa gets to demonstrate what a bunch of douche bags you are on eve-pirate

Actually, no, I am not pursuing it. He is by having his alts/friends dec us, then beg us for 1vs1, then dishonor them by having Serenity not only participate in the dishonoring of it, but also smacking in local using homophobic slurs even though they are in CVA which to my understanding was a RP style alliance.
I'm just showing a pattern of play that is pretty poor and showing them to be the poor losers and sore winners that they are.
Keep in mind we never had any beef with Serenity or their friends. They dec'd us, they smack talked and complained constantly, win or lose. Obviously nothing has changed in the past year.

This is a pretty bad response to a thread that has quite a bit of evidence fingering you as an all around jerk. For an alliance that theoretically cares about their reputation CVA should be ashamed of you.

Best thing to would be hold CVA accountable for the actions/words of its members. ie. Wardec CVA/Sylph/pets and form roaming 0.0 gangs to gank all the dumb 'neutral' carebear ratters these idiots invite into their space.
This should make an example of CVA and what happens to anyone who's associated with them in any way.

Don't even bother asking him. He posted the same crap in my stories on Eve-Pirate about when we fought his corp along with several others.
He claims everything I say is bullshit, as if all my screenshots are doctored and all the chat logs are false. He posts no proof and gives no specifics about how I am wrong.
He's a typical "anti-pirate" hypocrit. When he was in the corp Wrath of Khaine, they professed to be a anti-griefer protector corp, meanwhile they were quite public about who their alts were. Their alts were in The Space Borderline corp which was a can-flipping bunch of griefers in Tash.
So on one hand he was smacking us for playing that way, yet completely content with having alts of theirs doing the exact same thing.
So c'mon Serenity. Please explain.

I'm CVA, but I run missions in high sec 'cause I don't enjoy this kind of bullsh*t.
The corp that dec'd (this tiny 3 man waste of miners) had already started crap with the reds of the local low-sec area. I honestly believe they freaked 'cause they must have done something wrong to upset those reds... so they panic and try to join CVA, which works 'cause the whole cheesy RP mottos some of the dustier members will take to he grave with them held true.
CVA knew NOTHING about the war dec until we allowed them into the alliance.
They let that little greifer 3-man corp in and it set our channels on fire. It's the boy who cried wolf all over again, and who wouldn't freak out?! I'd grab an ax if I heard that kind of thing! It's human nature for f*ck's sake.
The damn mailbox wouldn't stop lighting up for a solid week of people asking what the f*ck was going on? Who's at war with what? What happened? No one gave straight answers and CVA gets a bad name for some heinous act of a lousy miner corp looking to turn a buck with CVA at their back.
Now that's some BS and that's why I stay out of it.
I'm only here now because TO ME, not my corp or alliance, to me this looks like propaganda and post-war mouth vomit from a few upset pilots.
90% of CVA tries (no promises!) to do their best and stick to the plan. But we're always ALWAYS going to hear about the worst of the 10% that pull this crap because it's so out of character and out of place. Even CVA makes mistakes with personnel =P there's a lot of room for it out there in EVE after all~

Only main characters/CVA characters.
As the issue of smacktalk; Its not allowed in CVA either, be it on forums or local chat.
Any such incidents will be adressed with the person in question, as will breach of the 1 vs 1 code. |
