CONCORD and the rules surrounding it is the antithesis of the Sandbox.
If you want CONCORD to be a believable part of the gaming world environment, strip CONCORD of it's buffs making it beatable, and remove all the rules about not being able to avoid/escape CONCORD.

I would like to see this, and explore other systems with next to no concord that are 1.0 systems :o Considering that Jita is the major crime centre of the universe, this would be a sensible compromise. Likewise they could be suplemented in ranks with factional navies if deemed of significant political interest. Sure Caldari can out afford paying CONCORD to look the other way for the Swarm. ;) Lets not forget the CONCORD HQ was wiped out and that the threat of that minmatar fleet returning is still very real. And the fact that the Caldari cannot afford to re-deploy their forces because that would open the door for the Gal navy to make gains.
Aye let it snowball if need be. All for more immersive content with GM interaction. For me I'd like CCP to consider investing in more GMs with a significant agenda to provide some more random NPC interaction aswell as potential "background noise" associated with the EvE dialouge.
If the Universe burns so be it, if they turn their turrets towards Goons who attempt to threaten them so be it. "Commence au festival" I beleive your "not so serious" clown would emphasise.

See if I have this one straight. Goons said they'll "burn" Jita. (I imagine Mitt sees it as his Reichstaag.) So...CCP needs to change the rules (in this game of no rules) for this special event? Why? Because in this sandbox (where there's no particular way anyone is "supposed" to play) there's this way we're supposed to play and CCP must allow us to play that way?
It's too early for me to be hitting the JD, but my eyeballs are totally out of focus at this point.

People who still don't know about it by the time it begins are playing a solo game anyway .... so i say let them burn jita who cares.Just go to any of the other hubs for your shopping needs or do some pre-shopping.
It's not like they can take over high-sec , they are jjust gonna play sandbox in one system that is all .If you can't cope with that then really your doing something wrong. |

When I started Eve for the first time concord were just normal NPCs except that they didn't drop loot and would respawn constantly in bigger waves each time. Tier 3 cruisers were brand new and were the best ships in the game at the time to give you an idea of how long ago this was. If I remember correctly concord got buffed because mOo was griefing newbies in the starter systems or something. |
