I finally decided to rejoin the EVE community after a year hiatus, the idea of bombing people from space in dust was pretty appealing. So my friend and I reactivated our accounts and with the 3 billion or so isk we had we had I went and bought 2 plex in jita. I used one myself and undocked to deliver the other one to my friend. Probably some of you are already snickering. I was instantly popped upon leaving the station before even having time to react. I'm not here to qq, I believe that games are just code which set rules on play, players will exploit the code for the most gain possible. However, the game seems to be, if anything, more slanted toward griefing then ever. I don't remember being instapoped very often in jita. Unfair pvp matches aren't really enjoyable experiences, when you lose because the load screen takes too long and you can't align because some big ass tug boat is bumping you, you don't think to yourself 'man, I ****** up' you think, 'the mechanics in this game suck.' Needless to say, we decided to just let his time for plex timer expire and go play starcraft.

So with that, I bid you ado. Perhaps in another few years I'll try again, good luck and fly safe.

But you are right, when leaving a station any player should be safe for 60 sec cloaked till moving, like when after jumping a gate.

Sadly, you're right and I look like a buffoon. On the one hand, OP to me seems stupid(almost as much as me), on the other posting it to C&P screams troll.

Not trying to troll, I had no idea you could remote activate plex. That probably would have helped. Clearly i'm a noob, but you don't need to get up in arms about it. I didn't suggest any changes to the game, I didn't say this was imbalanced. I just said that I personally don't like the game mechanics, because I felt that in this case avoiding death was impossible.

...In actual fact in the game has gotten far safer for Hi sec people, look for the "Boomerang" threat that is in this forum.

You do realize the "boomerang" threat didn't exist until recently, when Tier 3 BCs made such tactics possible? And even discounting the gankage love that is the Tier 3s, you still have some significant boosts to Thrashers and other destroyers.

I'd say CCP is opening the door to a lot more griefing possibilities, and are just trying to make sure it doesn't get out of hand. Making sure a single Tornado and an Orca alt can't single-handedly gank a freighter in high sec does not mean CCP is making things safer.

Actually in your OP you state the game is slanted towards griefers, and that they are exploiting the code. In actual fact in the game has gotten far safer for Hi sec people, look for the "Boomerang" threat that is in this forum. CCP are more and more making it harder to grief, RR alts are up next as well as sweeping changes to the aggression system. When buying high value stuff, trust me, ask people.
