Also do we have to fly to every region in EVE to check the price of these 30d PLEX or will we all just goto Jita and lag out once a month?
1.) What keeps large alliances from doing the same right now?
Once bought ubder the present system when traded it auto adds to the buyers time left.

Now, you MUST be joking.
I am an industrial player, owning more Macks than characters, have the chars maxed out for mining, own and use a Roqual and have ordered an Orca already. Now, guess what I was doing when I read you post ... flying around 0.0 in a HAC.

It is not automatically applied.
When created it becomes an item in your hangar in the current station. When purchased it becomes an item in the station you bought it at.
It can be applied remotely via the Assets window.
Could we please have a definitive answer about gtc's on the market in the new system? Can they be bought and resold over and over again like other market items?

While not explicitly listed on the current QR features page, I'm pretty sure they're going in, as they are on th test server now. Still, as a pretty NON-COMBAT player, I fail to see any real 'expansion' in QR. We've got the Orca, which is, definately a nice thing, but it doesn't really change a LOT with industry. The quote about 'War is good for industry' is almost insulting. Yes, its true, more combat would mean more products produced, and more eventual profit for manufacturers, but how does this increase the FUN those manufacturers have? Where are the industrial IMPROVEMENTS? Not just a boost to the number of clicks they do.
Nerf Static Belts, Boost Gravimetrics... This, by itself, using all ingame mechanics, would greatly improve the carebears level of involvement. It would also lead the 'scanning experts' (usually combat types) into working closer to the carebears. And really, what HARM would this change cause? The spawn numbers of grav's and belts could be tweaked in an afternoon, and EASILY be ready for the QR expansion. Hell, make it a slow process of the next couple months, I don't care, just don't completely abandon any hope for the carebears of eve, other than to serve the warmongers just a little bit more.
Theyre not going in - Dev confirmed in the other thread that theyre not ready.
Some big promises here from Ovuer but we've seen this before.
In terms of direct content QR delivers very little.
Disappointing stuff and while Im sure the marketing department will have fireworks going off all over the place at Fanfest everytime a dev mentions a possible future in truth they will continue to be vague promises - very often the self same 'coming soons' that were mentioned last year, and the year before that.

I agree with a earlier post of CCP releasing the QR, to combat WOW's expansion pack. Times are tough and that would draw alot of the player base away since the Ghost removal. (Guess we could call them Ghostbusters now)... :-)
But I got to thinking, what if! This is a 2 phase QR -- "Expansion" ?? Phase 1 - Nov 11: Orca introduced, Weapons grouping, nano-nerf.... etc (other stuff listed in release) Phase 2 - December 16: Items to be revealed at Fanfest??
That would be a great Christmas surprise!
Oveur really could be Santa in disguise, just look for the empty Heiniken cans in the sleigh.

While it could be argued that we could create another char on the acount to dock at said station to accept said item to increase given time ingame, why should we have to have a char that's only function is to use this tool? Why should we have to work around the given ingame mechanics due to lack of creativity on your part? I understand that you cant please everyone... but when was the last time you even attempted to please the super cap pilot ? Were your scape goats to the rest of the community, one nerf at a time, consistently left by the way side.

There is no reason to dock to use the new License system. You can purchase the items off the market from anywhere in the same region, and apply them to your account from the Assets window. So to the Jita whiners, no there is no reason to have to fight Jita lag to get these.

I'm wondering why so few comments/replies in this age of 70 page threads?
Oveur hasn't spoken in like a year, and now he has its met with very little response.

This is only my second expansion as I joined a few weeks after Trinity, but it does look more like a colossal patch than an actual expansion. Were getting some new gates, 1 new ship, some much needed and LONG overdue UI upgrades and that's about it. ---- --- --- My views don't represent those of my corporation or alliance.

1) Will CCPs acceptance of contract scamming carry over to scams on gtc-Pilot Licences.
2) If not is this the beginning of the end of contract scamming as a profession.
3) Will not being able to transport these items mean I have to physically be in the station they are being sold?
4) If yes, dosent this make GTC sales a right pain in the ass. How will a pirate or 0.0 pilot get to jita to buy a gtc. Presently he dosnt need ot move, with the new system will he have to travel 70 jumps?
5) Further to the above question will contracted gtc-licences be able to be activated remotley (ie by a pilot not in station)
6) Why cant we transprt these items. What is the difference between:
a) selling a gtc under the present system for 500mill, buying an implant fpr 500mill, transporting it and getting blown up. Killer pilot sells implant for 500mill and buys a gtc for his account. b) making a pilot licence for 500mill, transporting it, and getting blown up. Killer pilot uses it on his account.
MAny thanks
SKUNK
We're still finalizing our policies, it's better to wait till that's done. You create it in the station you want to sell it it and have to use it there as well.
There are a lot of ways to address transport in general, one mentinoned above, another simply removing the restriction but limiting it to stations is a good start in mitigating the biggest risks.
You can activate them remotely though, through assets I believe.
Pirates or anyone in 0.0 can always make an alt assuming you don't already have one and buy it that way.

It is not automatically applied.
When created it becomes an item in your hangar in the current station. When purchased it becomes an item in the station you bought it at.
It can be applied remotely via the Assets window.
applying it through the assets window is nice (and a 0.0 dweller doesnt need to fly to jita to be able to buy one, just use another char on the same account ^^) however i would recommend that once you buy such an item, it should be applied to your account (to the account of the buyer) automatically. this would remove the possibility of reselling, thus taking away the possibility for isk rich players to manipulate the market and the price would really reflect the supply/demand.
another related question: most likely those sell/buy orders will have the same tax/broker fee as other items...? |

The whole "Time Card" thing is a scam that benefits large alliances and ISK sellers.
Those of us who PAY for our time are tired of all these drive-by nerfs and monumental failures... May I remind you of a few forgotten advances that seemingly died?
- Jovian Ambassador.
- Gallente Elections!
- Minmataar rebellions?
- Caldari Corporations??
- Amarr Emperor???
Are those little made-up stories all you intend to do? No game events? Nothing to discover of profit from? Just stories?? What a wasted opportunity!
All these planned storyline events never did a ****mn ***ing thing to benefit players!
I personally spent about fifty hours running missions for an Intaki Seargeant for Gold Statue BPO's... remember all that???
More half-thought ideas, unrealized and totally a waste of our time.
Please, instead of creating some new half-baked ideas, please just finish something you started back in Exodus:
Please let some explorers access Jovian space!
Thanks LF Suggestion: Please color jump gates the same color as the system security rating of the destination system in the overview.

I still can't see the reasoning for the council since it is an honary type thing and has no effect on what the players might want. Perhaps someone could explain to me why one would want to vote for members who are mostly 0.0 space? I have abstained from voting as I see no one who is even near my region of space. Why would I want someone from high sec to get my vote if I am mostly in 0.0 space? If you wre going to have reps they should be from the regions they are from and if all regions arent represented why bother to vote? Is like voting for a Brit PM and being French and living in France. :)

Edited by: Sire Magnus on 12/11/2008 06:21:33 Bringing the ETC market ingame will be far less hectic than the forum sales, however, the decision to break all ETC down to 30day units is a very one sided shunt againt the PLEX buyers.
If a seller can purchase a 60day ETC for less than two 30day ETC's, then that discount it hidden from the buyer and he will be squeezed for more ISK. The net result being that the sellers will need to sell fewer ETC's, (i.e. less supply)
Buyers will also be buying in 30day incriments instead of 60 or 90 days, with a net result of a more uniform and constant demand.
Now here's my question for all you economics experts out there .. Whats going to happen to the prices when you have less supply and more demand?
Thats right, the price goes up, and what happens when average joe carebear does the math and figures out that the alts he needs to run his POS dont earn enough to pay for the PLEX needed to keep them active?
