If you need something with a little skill and more hands on work, may I suggest two games for you, one is called Jumpgate by Netdevil, which is slowly dying but does require some skill to play (Much like counter strike) The other, is playing with yourself, you know, learn how to master changing hands without missing a beat, but please dont beat up this game.
I too was burnt out and had the sh!ts with this game, I dream of support gear to help the PvPers and stuff like that, but there are other things I hadnt done until I realised after I left I should try again. Maybe all you need is a break, spin another game. Heck I would recommend doing the Dark and Light beta as I know its a good run. Just chill....

hey welcome back, nice to see
Unfortunately bad timing we have quite some problems with servers atm.
And yes a break is alwys good , i took 2 of those till now .Eve has a weird addictive/sucking ability wich makes your experience after a while shallow.

You clearly have no idea how PVP works (not just one vs one, but putting fleets of ships against each other).
There's be utterly NO WAY of you actually controlling your ship's 8 weapon systems manually - although you can try... Or rather, how would you implement an 8-way manual targetting system? Exactly, it's be just like Elite or Freelancer, you'd be forced to deal with one ship and one maybe two weapon systems at a time.
PVP is so far beyond loadout vs loadout that I really don't think you've even attempted to investigate it.
Oh well - it's your loss really - and I'm sure the lag situation will be improved with one less player.

Eve is limited only by the players imagination. I have been playing this game for about a year (minus a few months off busy with work) and I feel like a havent even started yet. I dont't have a BS and I only have about 4 mil skill points. I have flown almost every frigate, cruiser and a few indies too. There so much to see in this game, I spend most of my time floating around not doing much and helping people out when I get the chance. I am also in a nice corp but havent really been involved much yet which I hope to change in teh future.
The only thing you have said that I can agree with is your point about trading, we need a nice trading system, at the moment it sucks.
Maybe Eve just isnt the game for you ?

my point of view, for what it is worth;
Eve has a pretty steep learning curve. I have pretty much been on the bottom part of the curve and will continue there no doubt for quite some time.
On the other hand, I have been allowed to associate with a player who is perhaps one of the people who are masters of the game, and see what is possible.
That's a worthwhile goal.....enough to keep me playing in spite of the things i do not like.
