nope not an exploit you are not doing anything to the client or to the game mearly controlling the information comming into and out of your connection
though the ones who will complain are those that use the exploits then selves... do the research for your self and get enlightened

how ever blocking thease address will not allow you to read the ingame news or access the eve web site in its entirety.. which leads me to belive thier is massive amounts of broken code in thier intergrated game/web

Do it blocks also the website access throught classical browser (IE, Mozilla...)? If not, that would be nice ^^
And also...How much did it reduced lag for you?
NB : For those thinking it's an exploit, unless a dev says it and says why, it isn't. You modify nothing to the game, only your firewall settings. (\_/) (O.o) (> <)=Oveur (proof) "Jumping 50 systems I can like, have sex 150 times during that period" |

yes it interfears with reading the fourms and "eve insider" but it decresed lag for me i would say a good 50 to 60 % with 175 people in the same system

CCP have actually said that the cluster-web integration was causing latency on the forums. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the same was true for the game.
That's probably why they've been hard pressed to fix it - not only does the lag come from a surprising direction, it might also be harder code to tighten (web page scripting). Must be giving the SQL server hell... ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

I'm not sure wether this is illegal or not. I don't really think so, perhaps it's unadvisable at best.
I'm going to check with the people upstairs :D

Edited by: Skillshot on 05/07/2004 11:05:05 any time, if you would post your results here so at least some of us are taking an active role in finding the problem instead of a passive role... thanks in advance.
ps, extreme lag requires extream measurs
