Dont worry everybody, its ok that service was disrupted and changes were made that dont really help, weren't wanted or ask for, and in some cases dont make sense.
After all, CCP doesnt charge for expansions. Its not like you were given the choice between paying 30 dollars to access new content and more abilities, or continuing to play the same game you already played and liked. Don't get me wrong I like eve... but of course we dont pay for this kind of expansion, because its not built in such a way that most players would want to. Better luck next time CCP.

It seems that the API (evemon aso) has issues after any patch/update. Is this known by CCP? Is the reason known? And, is the solution known?

I don't think grouping would benefit miners. If you are using a mining barge you typically have two or three lasers. Grouping these tends to cause the rock to pop to quickly where as you will loose ore. Granted it may help some if your mining with a cruiser or bs but I would suggest just working on a mining barge it will help you quite a bit.
That was our thinking as well. Weapon Grouping was intended for modules that you regularly reactivate and which you focus on something. Only guns fulfill those requirements (turrets and launchers). Mining laser you would tend to spread to different targets and, e.g., shield hardeners you don't reactivate regularly (just keep them on auto-repeat).

The thing which is bothering me most about this patch is that following the HUGE changes to PVP mechanics, many (if not all) of my ships need new setups. That in itself is not a major problem - The real problem for me is RIGS.
For example - Some ships which I previously had fit with MWD's are now only viable with an afterburner... Fine, I'll switch that.... But wait, I have a CCC rig fitted because my previous setup was cap hungry with the MWD - But now with the AB, that CCC rig is a complete waste and adds nothing to my setup. My only option is to destroy the rig and buy something else.
Given that I have 20 or 30 rigged PVP ships in my hangars across EVE, this is going to turn into a very VERY expensive excercise - And seeing as these changes have been forced upon us by the new patch, I personally think CCP need to give us the option to remove rigs without destroying them, even if only on a temporary basis.

I disconned out of EVE due to a failure in my internet connection yesterday. When I reconnected today, I found that, according to both EVE and the API, my implants were no longer being added to my attributes for the purpose of calculating skill training times, and I had lost several hours of implant-boosted skill training time. I have already asked for the training time to be reimbursed, but I thought I'd throw this one out there for CCP to have a look at. -----

I got my client to work again, I pulled the files from a friends computer and it works well.I enjoy the patch so far. Things are running smoothly even with premium graphics and the stargates are nice. I like the time indicator for items as well. Honestly I thought the nerfs were going to hurt more then they did, although I think all ships should have actually just been given more speed my bs crawls worse then before lol.
I did have one question though. When trying to do weapons grouping I was not able to place my faction crystals. Is this because I cant stack them when they have damage on them? Could you set this so we can load one crystal to the group at a time so that I dont need new crystals to create a group? Thank you. |

This, in a way. I unloaded, stacked, and selected to re-load with used crystals, but the stacked array loaded from the spare unused crystals i was carrying, leaving the part-used ones in the cargo hold.
Does this mean that part-damaged faction/tech 2 crystals cannot be used in a stacked gun array ? If this is so, then the only way to use them up is I guess to unstack and run out in space.
Can anyone shed any light on this ? I don't recall seeing it mentioned in the patch notes, since ammo-grunts can stack a part magazine whereas laser folks cannot.

Two issues: When launching the client (in premium) it takes about a full minute to actually give me the login page. Until then, I just get the QR background (rokhs included) that sort of sits there and refreshes itself about 6 times, every 10 seconds.
Similarly, when alt-tabbing back into the client when the game is running (alt-tabbing out works fine), I get the same problem - takes about a minute to actually give me control of the client and to display anything other than the system backdrop - no overview, no ships, no UI, no chat channels, no nothing.

Memory Leak is back?? Every time that i use the market my game reduce drasticly speed. All window, iten move, chat, every tinhg slow down!
I have a AMD X2 2800+ 2gb RAM Gforce 7900 GS running Win XP pack 3 and EVE Premiun

Same here, especially when i use the market on two clients the game slows down like hell. I have a 3500+ with 2 Gigs RAM and X800 graphics with classic and performance never was an issue, until QR.

It would seem not. I sold four items in ~20 minutes and it wasn't until my journal updated with some rat bounties that those sales propagated from my transaction log to the journal. Or is that what is meant by "always in sync", as in "everything will show up eventually but it's still on a timer"? |

I just found a bug that allows you to go over 9k!!! in a Battleship.
Right now i have your attention stop answering the easy questions about grouping weapons etc, how about answering the more important ones which seem to be delibaretly ignored as lag issues have been posted from day 1.
Please dont make this same deal as the last patch and pretend all is ok and blame everything but eve until finally you acknowledge there is an issue. I doubt the majority of ppl care about the little buggy problems that have come up, however a very large no. do care alot about how the lag is seriously affecting the game and making it unplayable.
Would you please acknowledge this message just to say your looking into it or doing something ... anything...

My screen showed I was warping (to a gate) when in fact I was already on it. So was a rokh shooting at me. I could have gotten away normally, mwding out of his disrupting range, but he did so much damage to me while I was warping that I had to jump through... in a gate camp. This is the 5th or the 6th ship I loose to CCP. So thank you very much CCP. btw I have 5 seconds module lag in a system with 3 people in. there is a hell of a memory leak in there somewhere as i have been sitting in a station not doing much for half an hour and the client is now at 600MB memory usage, before i logged off last night it hit 1.2GB!!!, i'm also having the problem where nothing is drawn apart from space and am having issues with the UI slowing down to the point it is barely usable.
running Premium on an X2 4200 and 9600GT \w 3GBram, XP SP2 and Nvidia 180 Beta drivers

OK,...i got Quantum down ok and it installed fine,...started it up and it ran good. After i got it on line however i noticed that it was "LAGGY" and as the evening went on,...it got worse. It got to the point that my ssytem would not respond to anything, opening the map took like 2 minutes, clicking on mods like armor took like 30 seconds,...ect,.... I finally had to dump the system,..>hit the reset button on the machine< and i uninstalled EVE from the machine completely. Went in and manually deleted all the files that i could find that was for eve including all the chats, and bookmarks. Then came the tedious part,..i downloaded Quantum,...That sukcer is huge,..took me about an hour and a half to get it down too,... Well i reloaded it from that, and so far i havent ahd any troubles but,... I have noticed that there is quite a bit of server/service lag when clicking on something,..longer than i would like to see actually. Im not running the beafiest of systems but its fast,..my ul/dl speeds are good and i got a decent ping in and out to CCP. Is this a problem with the CCP side of things? OH and something else to mention is before i reloaded the client,...the client come to a point that i would only call it froze up, but it didnt do it all at one time,...it was a gradual thing,...like over an hour,....but now that i reloaded however,..it seems to be ok,...but laggy. later all,..fly safe and eat your vegatables Clatu Verada Nicto

Update on steam version. I just found that if you have the demo version it doesn't work. Same problem we were having with purchased one...wrong version is downloaded from Steam. Come on guys, pull some strings and get that file there. You are loosing new players.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FIX CARRIER CORP HANGAR BAYS!!!! I have not been able to access mine since before the expantion!!!!!! even with FULL ACCESS!!!! before I joined my new corp I could access it with no issue ONLY BECAUSE I WAS THE CEO OF MY FORMER CORP.
This is really starting to Irritate me. AFIK this expantion was suposed to address this issue, but apparently not.

The f0cking </textarea> tag parsing is bugged in ingame browser. Whenever there is such tag in the document, ingame browser is unable to display the page and keeps loading it forever. It became broken since last patch. :( _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

You definitely have a huge memory leak with this patch. The lag people are experiencing or the issue with two or more clients is a result of process and memory being eaten up by the original eve.exe process.
Mine takes about an hour to hour and a half before it is unplayable. A restart refreshes and the count down starts again.
However, even after the refreshes the game is still much laggier than before patch in which I had essentially no lag.
This one is a killer.

CCP, I've done some more tests and I can confirm that jump cloning now causes your skill to start training as if it had no implants, whether or not the clone you jump to is implanted. Can we get some confirmation of this on your side, please? -----

I just had my first fleet fight after the patch and I'm not impressed. The system was quite laggy with just 350ppl in local. After warping into a grid with ships a few memory went up quite hefty and client got unresposive.
My PC was rather bored as can be seen in the following.

couple of issues, when jumping thru gates theres latency (as if theres an enemy fleet on the other side) waiting 5-10 seconds to load even with nothing in system. then,wheres my ship? it's invisible and so are the gates every time i have a laggy session change its a roll of the dice whether the ship and gates are there.
only thing really that bothers me. grouping is one of the best things,love it.
