no and last I heard there was no plans to convert eve to macintosh, unix or anything of those sorts.
i wouldnt care personally if they did it but I have always hated macintosh. besides tell macintosh to convert eve themselves since like there are about as many programs that run on mac that canf it on my hand. useful ones anyways.

Mac = computer for retards.
I really hate my job for loving them. Forces me to use one every day at work. As soon as I get home I have to detox myself at my PC.

saw one emulator of winxp runnin on a mac the other day, tbh, it was slow as hell, and am doubtful it would really run eve to a worthy speed. ..oh well.

And are you kidding me " put out another version for mac and lin" ? all the tech 1 prints arent in yet lets finish the tutorial before we worry about new versions, eh ccp?

Eve for other platforms would be really nice but CCP tied themselves to MS with DirectX (and probably a nice deal on server software).
Eve can be run with wine/winex, which I think can be built for MacOS, but it's neither stable, pretty or easy.
Only worth it for the fun of making it work.

Heh. Yeah I would not trust my work stuff to a PC. In 10 years, I've never had to re-install an operating system on my macs.
But, I did get EQ to play under virtual PC tho one time. It was slow and unplayable, but it ran. This was like 4 years ago.
Who knows, eve might actually work decently on a dual G5.

Macs are great. What are you people on?
What's sad is that all of the 3D models and other art in Eve is created on a Mac.
There's no way CCP would survive if Eve was on the Mac too. They already have enough problems on Windows that other client versions would bring a host of their own problems.
However, OS 10 on the Mac is just a variant of BSD, so porting it to the Mac would also result in a UNIX port. But only 7-10% of the gaming population uses either Macs or Unix, so it honestly is not worth CCP's time or money to make a port.
If you made a Mac/UNIX port, you'd have to hire a bunch of Mac/UNIX experts to supply technical support.
In short, it's not a very profitable proposal...hell, they wouldn't even break even.

I just remembered one more thing.
John Carmac, of iD software, and Blizzard Software have both stated that if you're a good programmer nowadays you can make games with not a single line of operating system specific code.
Now, I do realize that Eve is quite a complex game. But if you begin programming with the aim to have it run on Macs and PCs, then it's pretty easy to get it done. However, I'm pretty sure CCP made EVE very Windows-reliant. So porting it now could actually be a nightmare.
I know that Quake 3, for example, has only a few lines (3-4) of code that are actually OS-dependent. Remember, the Quake 3 demo WAS released on the Mac and Linux before Windows. :-D
