Ouch... "40.000 subscribers" does not equal "40.000 players online at the same time" Got it man?
Do you think that CCP is a something like a wellfare organisation? Their goal is making money and "having fun" at the same time... I think you points are rediculous. "YEAH!!! Let¦s make CCP give away their work for free!! And make them pay a lot of cash per months for server architecture, coding staff, office rent, taxes, heating, water, health insurance!!! We will be able to have a great and complete game soon!!! YAHOOOO!!!!!"
Wake up man.

LOl where else could we find someone getting flamed for suggesting the consumer should pay less. If I remember correctly in the original post he said "why pay for an incomplete game". Some dufas tells him its not incomplete it just needs patches. LMFAO look they just now added a missing area of the tutorial in this latest patch. So the game came out and the dang tutorial wasnt even finished, lol.
Ive been paying for this game since release and will continue to do so mainly because I bought a 6 month sub. however havent played it in prolly over a month.
I personnaly dont care about the fees or the cost of the worthless box, what really T's me off is the moderators of these simply patheticly slow forums. Mods always stickin there nose into a post, yeah there readin this too prolly lock it for needless waste of valuable CCP bandwidth

Account creation fee = 19.95 and includes one month of gameplay. One month of gameplay costs 14.95.
So in essence you are complaining about a measly 5 euro download fee.
If you play the game for more that 3 or 4 months this is an insignificantly small amount compared to what you pay for your subscription.

Its becoming clearer to me now that many of the people who post post's like this, or support posts like this, haven't played many persistant Onliners. I've played two others fulltime and tried many more on friends accounts. Patches are the treasure and torture of LIVE games. The content keeps changing making it a more and more diverse game but sometimes you get bugs and lag and broken bits.
In short it seems you'd be happier playing a softer, fluffier online game like the type where you log in play a game but theres no fees but less expansiveness. I suggest you play Diablo 2, Dungeon Siege or Counter Strike and leave the serious and indepth games to REAL gamers... --------------------------------------------------------------

Edited by: Pottsey on 07/07/2004 11:16:34 ô(patches should be free anyway as they sold a incomplete game ).As my freid told me its like going into a returuant, buying a meal for ú30 and then being charged more for every bite you have.ö
I would see it more like going to a all you can eat restaurant with no limit on how much you eat, where you pay a monthly fee and they stock up on new types of food each month but you are free to come back as much as you want and try the new and old food as long as you pay the monthly fee.
Being charge for each bite would be like being charged for each time you login. But they donÆt do that.
As for the amount of money they make a lot of people are drastically underestimating the running costs of online games.
