I agree. To me, Ambulation should be something you don't even want to make a controle-A in Eve.
Something like "I've got to dock to redo my setups" instead of shutting the game or control-tab inside a station and opening eft (for exemple).
Ambulation should do (or try to do) what a classic player need to do while playing by alt-tabbing it docked inside a station. reading and writing on the forums for exemple... :)
CCP should observe their clients and wonder what are we doing while docked. Well I hope it's one of the direction they used for ambulation.

I would like to see a game where from the station you could catch a shuttle to the planet and start mining ore and gathering resources while build in g factories and tanks and stuff to fight off neighboring players and npc's
yeah kinda like red alert. can sell ore gathered for isk too

CCP won't be able to use this in Eve (too bad). It's the best society game I ever played.
This is really simple :
Basically, you give each player a card. 9 players at least + a gamemaster to control the game.
Each card represent a villager or a werewolf and is only known by the player and the GM.
Night time, each player must shut their eyes. Gamemaster calls the werewolves.
The werewolves open their eyes and agree to silently design a player. then they shut their eyes again.
Daytime, everybody open their eyes and awake. the gamemaster announce there was a murder this night. It was due to werewolves... The unllucky player is removed from the game.
Villagers vote to burn one of them. Political intrigue, great mess, drama and fun expected... One of the villager is burned and reveal his card.
Nightime...
Etc until there only werewolves or true villagers.
Some vilagers have roles, for example the little girl that can open his eyes on the night (but if she's seen, she'll be killed, if she tells she's the little girl, she'll be killed next night etc), the hunter, that can kill someone when he's killed (either by the villagers or the werewolves), etc.
At night, people usually make creepy noises and daytime it's a big mess with some "NO I'M NOT A WEREWOLF IT'S HIM I'M SURE !"
It's a pure genious game. Reveals a lot of dark instincts. Imo best played at night. :) And at a low price (less than 10Ç).
Only flaw is it's in french. Ask a french to explain it, it's really great !
I know it has been translated into dutch, wouldnt surprise me if its been translated into english as well.

It's described there. The english name is "The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow". A pure and nasty jewel (everyone I showed the game loved it, videogamers, dice and paper gamers, musicians and artists, intelectuals, sports guys, it's all about being nasty to win :) )

Still waiting for the OVEUR DRINKING GAME: Both the player character and Oveur incur massive liver damage.
What about the Forum Drama (queen) minigame? You get to watch your avatar hunt'n'peck as he/she/it vies for the position of most inciteful fora whora.

Poker.
high stakes, high risk, always sit with your back to a wall. play it in dar dingy rooms with body-guards in a Minmatar station, with trophy girls in an expensive caldari club, all in grey felt, or a sleezy Gallente gambling den.
Fits almost completely with the eve atmosphere and feel. has to be done integrally with ambulaion, ie over the shoulder of your char, no as a seperarate minigame.
and if you disagrre, or beat thewrong people, be careful while undocking...

Players could pilot customizable ships through a universe comprising over five thousand solar systems. Most solar systems should be connected to one or more other solar systems by means of jump gates. The solar systems could contain several entities including but not limited to: moons, planets, stations, asteroid belts and complexes.

Poker dice !
its basically poker with dices (ORLY?) although being more close to your regular hood dice game
its very fun.
They have a very nice looking poker dice minigame in The Witcher (awesome game btw) and that's how i learned about it.

Things like Chess are a must, but I think CCP should talk to developers of games like Sins of a Solar Empire, and see if they'd be willing to produce a modified version of there game, which would run within the EVE client, as a full game.
IE Sins of a Solar Empire, but with Eve ships, and Eve related planet names and such not.
