I would like to see some of the old arcade classics, such as Galaxian, Space Invaders etc You would enter a bar, walk upto an arcade machine, enter a certain amount of isk and get a game.
Awesome.

I second that.
Edward Lasker, famous chess player had this to say about go: "While the Baroque rules of Chess could only have been created by humans, the rules of Go are so elegant, organic, and rigorously logical that if intelligent life forms exist elsewhere in the universe, they almost certainly play Go." ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

The question that remains then is; do we use Caldari or Amarr rules? |

4 pages and no mention of a pool hall,, that would rock,, and you need more than one player to play,, so betting would be a given,, and possibly allow for side betting run by the owner of the establishment, space stations need thier seedy lil bars where you risk it all |

Good question, not that it really matters 99% of the games. But I guess this could be a good as time as any to unify the rules. So I say use Jovian rules. |

Originally by: Rexthor Hammerfists I still have the 3D map in mind that was displayed in a round of officers in some room. Id love it if you could fit ships eft style, display it to others around the table and even better simulate firepower and tanks with two ships and more on each other.
Adding to that even more useful would be the ability to "program" ships in a sort of 3d scale, to demonstrate the max use of fittings, how to move etc.
Kinda like This and This Comnbined, if that makes any sence ;)
To think this further, The planning happening in a control room demonstrated in the first ambulatio video, done by a group of officers around a table projecting the universe map, could be linked to other stations.
There officers stand around a table that projects not the map as in the other station but the whole room with all thats in it etc.
Also making it possible to show this to non officers outside of the planning room would be a good thing to brief whole alliances.
Would be also neat if you could not only project one room onto another stations Table, but ppl from other stations as holograms into the first room. That way for a a proper planning and briefing the relevent ppl dont have to meet in one station, which would probably be done by an alt, but rather can attend with their mains without disrupting their day-to-day work. Same goes for supercap pilots, as they otherwise wouldnt be able to be seen with their mains. -

Let it be functional for a change. Away with the 3D holographic #$%# that will be completly useless.
2D for the win with the ability to alter the maps with info such as production maps, jump/cyno maps, strategic maps (attack, choke points, defense, plans), travel adviseries, etc.
Functionality + usability > owww looks pretty let me alt tab to use this usefull out of game tool instead.
Edit: also system maps would be cool with the ability to create strategic warppoints and broadcast them as bookmarks etc. - - -

Well, nothing in EVE is guaranteed, but a year-long track record of legitimate business kind of speaks for itself. Besides, do you trust CCP to make a decent poker interface?
Originally by: Soporo Poker, 5 card draw nothing wild. Screw Tx holem.
I hear this once in a while but sadly very few EVE players have interest, it would be hard to get a decent playing population.

Might just be me but i'd like something more official tbh, not to mention that you would actually play eve and not a third party client. :)
Also, never knew of this program, is it an active client? meaning how many members are actively playing on that poker client? ^_^

It's a flash client played via web browser, people make accounts, deposit ISK in-game and get chips. I just removed inactive accounts (> 3 months since last login) and there are still 1600 or so accounts in the system. We've been keeping more than 120 billion ISK in deposits the last few months (seems to be where we've stabilized). We're busiest during UK nights / US evenings it seems. All of the info you need to play is in the IGB links in our channel. |
