I think this deserves it's own thread. I just got my first Massive 'annoyance' Attack after QR patch dreading the epic travel between gates while looking at err ... stars and stuff and found out that you now land almost on top of next gate in that mission. Well yeah - it has still the same small stuff to swat, some of it 110 km out from you but regardless of that - whoever pushed thru the change for that mission at CCP side is deserving a hug.

This was in the patch notes. "Silence the Informant" was also fixed, so to say, as were some other similar missions.

Smuggler Interception is one I can remember. They also mucked about with the rats in that one, reducing their numbers but beefening them up at the same time. |

It was a good change, but they should have also moved the spawns. Cannot have everything I guess... |

Mordus Headhunters level 4 has also changed. The gate in the first room is now within 10km.
Some of these 'long haul' missions have been modified to offset the recent speed nerf - my BS has lost a 5th of its speed, so the reduced distances are somewhat helpful.
I wish they'd done it across the board, though.

Meh, it's still a crappy mission, and you can't blitz it anymore. Used to do this in a 1000m/s sentry Ishtar, only killing the one scrambling frig before the last room, if it got to me before I used the gate. Can't do that any more. 
Still, I guess I can live with the new version too. |

The first gate in silence is about 6k away as opposed to 60k. The second one is closer too. However the roadhouse is still as far as before. |

With my Cnr doing 117 and Abbadon doing 111 m/s its sitll feels like 50 klicks.

I never cared about having to fly long distances. I simply pulled the rats to me while flying towards the next gate. Usually I finished both things within a short time of each other  |

Now all CCP needs to do is make it a level 3 mission, where it belongs.

My problem with that was, that I was out of stuff to shoot some 30 klicks before reaching the gate. And that was with CNR's on Domination afterburner on them.
