just keep in mind that there are corps out there who are willing to infiltrate your corporate, spend 5-6 months building a level of trust to get access to things, just so they can steal from you. My corp thief admitted that to me. That he was part of a corp who did just that. They developed it in the beta. based on the info I had, there are at least 20 such agents. So there are at least 20 corps at one time at risk. And who knows how much they have grown. There really needs to be some soft of tracking a corporate officer can have access too for finding out who used or took what from a hanger.

Theft is part of the game just as much as anything else, just be nice for everyone to at least have a counter measure to act against it as most often its possible for someone to turn rogue and makeoff with plenty of stuff before anyone can really work out who it is. Which is coming "soon" :)
but untill then folks lock up ye stuff let that mistrust run rampage around your corps! :/
Even though this has happened to afew "megacorps" there was mentions of this kind of talk even when it happened to "smaller" corps. for anyone its unfortunatly a gamebreaker. Which has and is causing alot of smoke with and without fire. But it all stills adds up to internal corp politics. online gaming and trust as a whole really does struggle to go hand in hand.
Easier route to cause chaos then to defend against it while running and economic backbone unfortunatly. Gl to those that take up that challange :P

I don't agree either, even I am not into corp theft.
Punishing corp thieves would just kill one element of the game and one profession.

If you can catch them then they should be punished. Pirates get bounties, people shoot them to collect it. Its a punishment. But pirates remain. You need both sides of the coin.

Never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Viceroy - corp thievery, same as ore thievery, no matter how lame, stupid and annoying, is a part of the game. People will be ****ers, but you just have to put up with it. If you really don't like it that much, you can always just cancel your sub.
As for baseless accusations, if you didn't do it, why do you care?

heres what I do and ive found it works if the other persons not an idiot
had a corp thief and all his alts names on both accounts
evey time he joins a new corp I talk to his new ceo and tell him hes hired on a corp thief. I offer this specialized service for all of his alts. hes never been with a corp very long since and his employment list is growing so no one wil lwant him soon and it helps to prevent another corp getting buggered by some ignorant ass.
spread the word it works and nerfs the corp thieves in the long run --- if ya cant pod em get em in other ways

so into the hangars, get the assets, get the isk, then close the door.
For tonight we steal everything, as much as we can,
Because tomorrow is another day, and the rules change again.
There will be many corp thefts to happen between now and Shiva. Right now a thief can get away with it, but after Shiva, the profession is tighted up a bit and will lessen the ability to operate in stealth.
