I have been trying to sell my CNR for almost 3 weeks now, I am on my 3rd contract and still there is no buyer. I think that I am asking for a pretty cheap price but again, no buyers. Do you think that the tank in the market is proof that the pve king has been nerfed and therefore lost its coveted spot as king? Or, is it just a speculation downturn that has no real meaning ( people think it was nerfed and therefore wont buy it, even if it wasnt) Just wondering what you could read into it- My contract for additional info-

The cheapest CNR on contracts is 290 mil. The rigs are presumably fitted, not the cookie cutter setup and hence more or less worthless.
So you're asking a 38% overprice, in a tradehub(Mind you not the most active one) and suprised it doesn't sell?
Would you ask for 120 mil for a normal Raven and be suprised if it didn't sell? |

So..... It's bad that the CNR finally fell into rank with the other Navy BS? Care to explain? Why haven't i heard you crying out for buffs to the navy apoc, mega and tempest?
Sorry to be so blunt, but it's just so damn annoying if people can't get a proper perspective on things. |

There is not one single whine or "cry" in my post, it is a simple question. That is all. Its not my fault you have to be sour about it and answer sarcastically. I am selling it in Amarr, and for this region the price is appropriate. Most people will spend more to buy local, simple. The rigs are fitted already, so in actuality I am asking about 350m for the raven. That is just slightly over the price of a navy mega, around 320 or so. I just asking what you think and by your responses it sounds like you know it was nerfed and approve of it, 1 check for the nerf box.
Oh, and you can troll somewhere else now, your smelly |

Edited by: Caiman Graystock on 04/12/2008 14:28:35 The CNR dropped in value long before QR. 300 without rigs is about the norm now.
Sure, it sucks, and there are better things to buy in terms of value from the LP store, which if people start doing, might lead to a decrease in supply of CNRs and boost their price again.
But the LP Store is to blame for introducing a large supply, coupled perhaps with ships like the Golem, rather than QR. |

Your "assumption" is clearly wrong seeing as you are on the forums whining about the price.
And yes, with the title you picked it is a whine.
CNR plus rigs is a pretty common ship. You aren't going to get much for it. |

I actually paid too much for mine before the "nerf", about 400. But I bought it locally, did not want to go to Jita etc, and it was my first purchase of that type (contract only item). Yea, I'm still green.
It could be said that mission running was a little bit too easy pre patch. The CNR was just easy on steroids. Humans are naturally lazy.
So the CNR was overpriced.
If the CNR really becomes price under 3X a normal Raven, I might actually start flying it in PvP.
At this point in my EvE play, I really don't care about PvE anymore. Level 5s are kind of fun tho, but I bring a Domi to those.
And a CNR is kinda brown on my display anyway.

I lost mine in pee vee pee trying to kill a moros in a belt.
I was very sad in the pants.
I'll buy yours to replace my loss - but I don't want crappy ccc rigs on it, so in actuality I wont pay more than 290 mil for it.

If the price is plummeting because of a "nerf", then that's fine with me. Seriously, seeing 150 people in a system all flying Navy Ravens makes things very bland. I used to be proud to own one myself, but now it's no longer special. It's sad, really.

Edited by: Ghengis Tia on 04/12/2008 15:48:28 The CCC I's have been supplanted by warhead rigs (rigor or flare), to give a better punch to BC's/Cruisers.
The 3 CCC/XL Booster setup is going the way of the dodo bird since the nerf, as the overtank gimps the need for more gank.
You might want to repackage the boat, destroying the rigs, and lower the price. That way it will at least move faster.
My CNR w/3 WRC I's is still a heckuva mission runner, I have no complaints.....

I just bought one for 335 mill. with no rigs. And 3 CCCs is not the cool rigging any more.
The problem isnt the ship. The problem is your charging for the rigs but they are the wrong rigs.
If you think corp is different than a guild or clan you have some insecurity issues.

3x CCC rigs....
Just because you fit the ship poorly does not mean other people want the same poorly fitted ship, why pay more for yours and have to strip out the poor choice in rigs when they can just get an unrigged one?

I like the fall in price of CNRs. At that price, I can afford to PvP in them.

Presumably those rigs were fit before the changes hit and where a very reasonable investment at the time. Personally, I find that you don't need that kind of cushion even on a standard raven before QR, but most raven pilots disagreed with me.
Nevertheless, given that the CCC rigs are no longer optimal choices for the CNR, perhaps the ship would sell faster if it was being sold at a price representative of a stock standard CNR, since people will just jettison the rigs anyway if they're smart.

What makes you think it's crazy? Armortanked ravens with ew in mids is excellent, especially in remote rep gangs... Parrots, commence!

Ironicly, those of us who used ravens to be omnipotent missionrunners, not just easy ones. The torp users are pretty much left behind. Using a CNR today, with torps, is really just pointless - in pve.

Actually, that's quite amusing.
I've read quite a few books and classes in several aspects of economics, including micro and macro, national and international, applied and theoretical. In my eyes the patch is the direct reason why the prices have gone down. Mind telling me how this is not so?

Because every dumbass with no clue about gamemechanics is been told there was a missile nerf, so they all started selling their stuff?

As long as they consider it a nerf, it is a nerf. And in most aspects, it is unarguably so. And how is the patch then not the origin to the cut in demand?
And actually, since you bring it up, I'm one of the dumbasses that have been told it's a nerf. My torps now deal less damage to smaller targets. There is no direct compensation for it. Is it not a nerf?
