The last time a thread like this came up on C+P, a lot of advice was thrown, the OP tried a lot of different things, but what fixed it in the end was when Garmon and some of his friends joined the corp and griefed the "griefers"
Link to thread
Link to campaign ( griefwatch down atm though it seems )
Anyway haven't done this in a while and I'm sure we're up for it, mail me in-game or post here
This!
You can be sure that after some 'special treatment' by Garmon the griefers will never ever bother you again. Use the opportunity to learn pvp from one of the most experienced fighters in New Eden.
And greetings Count MonteCarlo - I see you are happy in your new home with Genos

Remember griefers have limited attention spans with normally several personality disorders. Move your corp around until they get bored. They are looking for cheap and easy kills. They are probably not going to travel over 10 jumps to get them.

I may be missing something here, but how come they have decced you whilst you are in an alliance?

Shannon,
I just returned to the game from a year long exodus and would love to join a fledging corp to get to know the game again and start up a new base of friends, let me know if you are recruiting.

my only words of advice are blackbirds, if they fit eccm bring more blackbirds :)
they are cheap and can be quickly trained. if that's to much of a stretch you could try the same with griffins

We lost a couple of drakes in the opening hours. Its been a lot calmer since then. We scattered while we make some last minute preparations. Then we're gonna give it our best and see what we can do. We've got a lot of learning to do, but this is a quick way to learn a lesson i suppose. If they want war, we'll give it to em the best we can. Maybe they'll realize that their CEO is older than all of us combined and and move on to better things but if we can take one or two of em out, we'll feel pretty good about ourselves. Above all we're gonna have fun!

Shannon Holliday, u almost made a tear drop from my eye. Because it reminded me how it all started with myself on my other account. I can not start crying here as I am at work atm, so i will explain.
First, I was in a corp a year ago when i was a total newb, that was created with the motto "To build a defense league for those who are weak and cannot defend themselves" And your post reminded me about those days. We got wardecced by a larger enemy, but our CEO told us not to be intimidated, but to make ready to fight! A good move he also had connections so a few other guys joined up in our corp. So we started preparing! Some people were kicked out for being cowards and demanding we give up. in first days many of us died during doing solo stuff or traveling to the places we had to go, but their lesson was learned. So we went in a fleet all the time. One of our better pilots managed to pick off a few of those when they werent ready. He played really smart and found out where they all were, and disturbed the enemies plans. Finally wardeccing us became expensive for them, and neither of us could earn a dime on it. So they gave it up after a week or two. By then we had got on the better side of stuff and been more organized than they were, so we turned the tides and shot one of their bigger ships one day. That was great fun!
So - STAND AND FIGHT! Your plan of forming a frigate fleet is a good in the fact they will perhaps laugh in ur face, but no need for u to charge into the phalanx and die, there are ways to trick them around and tire them out. Move around, kill stuff, do a mission whatever, just stay in the fleet align and warp togheter. Maybe you get to pick off one of them if they do a mistake :)

Sure we could give you a hand if you're based nearby. Rule of thumb: A Group of well organized, properly fitted T1 Frigates can take down pretty much any cruiser. Hit Hard and Fast, Warp out at any sign of reinforcements. I'll message you after DT.

Originally by: Witless Sounds like a good opportunity to experience PVP and see what it's like.
Advice: - Scouts are never under-rated. Get intel on what they are flying. - Frigs can PVP. A group of frigates backed by some heavies can work. Frigs will be hard to hit with the big guns and as for weapons, think outside the box. NOS/NUETs/E-War. - Pick your fight. You get to decide when the right time to fight is (i.e. scouts). Hit them when there are not many of them around, then fall back to the station.
Frigs are cheap, and you can find creative ways of using them to your advantage.
Oh yeah... HAVE FUN! PVP will get your heart pumping and hands shaking. You might find it addictive. Or you could sit in station playing solitaire
Yeah great tips here man! You can also fit your frigs with ewar modules (be sure to train the basic ewar skills) ecm and jammers etc. will only take u a day or two for the basics. If they arent prepared for it, you can put their systems out of action and prevent them from dealing any dmg. Ofc u need manpower of pilots for this, u will need also the mandatory tackler roles and everyone needs ofc speed speed SPEEEEED, so they wont hit u with a big ship.
Its could be like ur enemy is a bunch of nitwits trying to shoot down a sparrow with a bazooka. If the sparrow sits down on a branch, it will go kaboom! so never sit down!

1st of all take Leskunks advice and drop to an NPC corp and make a chat channel. Treat the dec as a joke and a chance to have some fun. Have all/some of your members use a spare character slot to create an alt. Name the alts 'Idietootoomuch', 'suicidesid' etc and Have the alts join your corp. Have the alts fly nothing but noob ships and just keep undocking, shouting things like "OMG I'm gonna die" and "Noooo my clone wasn't up to date" etc. laugh loudly as your alts newb ships are destroyed then get in another newb ship and rinse and repeat. Have competitions to see who can get blown up the most etc. Give out medals to your alts for dying a lot or attacking 5 battleships with an Ibis. log the alts in and go watch a movie. Let the people who decced your corp blow up alts in newb ships and they will soon get bored. Don't talk to the agressors or complain about why they decced your corp. Just act like you couldn't give a damn about the dec and mess about with alts.

fight, dont be weak.
you think 25 will be on? take them on their off hours.
bottleneck them. Pick them off one at a time.
fight strong, dont fear death, accept it then go from there.

Guerilla warfare.
Get a gang of frigs or assault ships, with some ecm maybe, not really required, and just gatecamp. Sometimes people like this become overconfident during a war dec against lesser foes, and solo travel in their BS.
Catch a few of their ships napping with your gankage, and they'll start wondering why they are losing isk to t1 frigs.
Here are some examples of this, ironically against a mercenary corp that recruits right here:
Exhibit A
and
Exhibit B
Now, granted we are more skilled than a corp of missioners, but the principle behind the theory is still sound.

I support this idea. Make the war fun for you and let them know you're not taking them seriously. Let them flaunt their 25+ noob ship kills kb. I'm sure it'll impress the other PVPers. Worst thing an industrial corp does is actually train pvp skills and fight a war. It's like telling a pure pvp corp to go train industrial skills cuz they got industrial-dec'd. It's best to train PVP skills after you have your industrial skills mastered so you can take on lowsec/0.0 if that's in your goals.
There's little chance of doing anything meaningful if the people dec'ing you are decent fighters. Hire mercs if you need to, don't surrender. Drop to an NPC corp with a common chat channel and fly with relative safety.
Discretion is the better part of valor.

Damn, get balls really. Insure some T1 frig and earn your experience like everyone else. Play the game instead of watching it passively. Get some noobfrigs with civilianweapons on it and try to mobilize others players to follow this suicide gang against your wartargets. That will be a lot of fun for you and the other guys. Better than leaving corp, continueing with missions and get bored to hell. What do u fear to lose? T1 frigs? Insured?

Why go through the hassles and worries? Why expend ISKs for a war you, and your team mates do not want? Why put the power and control of your online time into the hands of a bed-wetting, mama's boy corp who only Wardecced you because they want money? Why give them that sort of power and control over you?
I say deny them their fight, and also deny them any way of getting even 1 ISK out of you and your corp. The key here is to deny these mama's boys their fun.
Simply create a new character out of one of the empty slots that you have, and then you and your corp transfer all CEO powers to this new character, and then the rest of you drop out of the corp. 24 hours later you and your team are free to move about in the world of EVE without the fear of being attacked, AND your corp still exists untarnished.
The mama's boys who wardecced your corp will be denied any fun what so ever, and in a way you made them pay for a war that never will happen so you basically win.
Have a nice day.
OMG!!!!!! havent gotten to read the rest of thread...this bs deserved a response!!!!! Anyone who would consider this as an option, deserves to be placed in the same catagory as the type of player who give such advice! STAND AND FIGHT!!!!! fit frigs, cepters, and af's. Throw in a few blackhawks and omg if you have a pilot or 2 who can actually fly a falcon and give them pew pew!!!! A system of morality which is based on relative emotional values is a mere illusion, a thoroughly vulgar conception which has nothing sound in it and nothing true. |
