Tap, live in sweden. No reason to drink bottled water.
Also, tapwater is actually cleaner than much bottled water.

Bottled water.
I live in west texas and the tap water here will give you the ****s. It's ok for cooking and stuff like making coffee, but never to drink straight.

Been there, done that, suffered the consequences. For a month.
On a hike further upstream years later, I found a dead sheep floating in a waterfall plunge pool. Figures.
It is better to find a minor stream and take it where it is draining through peat, or take snow mel****er at source if available.
Though if you want to play it safe, use purification tablets, which I do recommend.
Oh joy, melt-water is a bad word.

Whenever I've been in the US, the tapwater has tasted of chlorine, so I refuse to drink that out of principle. I live in Sweden though, and find the idea of buying water in a bottle completely alien.

What is really funny is that bottled water bottled by Coke and Pepsi is nothing more then refiltered city tap water at an excessively greater cost.
I prefer, moutnian spring, then tap, then bottled. Bottled water that is truely from spring water is not bad and I would choose that over tap if offered but would never buy it.

The only place I've been to where bottled water seemed worth it was when I visited an island near the Lochs in Scotland, where the tapwater came straight out of a well and was so yellow you couldn't tell if the toilet had been flushed or not...

Depends on where in the world you are running your taps and what bottled water, the only bottled water worth drinking in my opinion is volvic, drink volvic then drink tap water and/or another brand and you will tell the difference in quality.

Nothing like that home taste of a little iron in your water. And I still prefer it 100x to bottled.
Or, alternatively, you could simply bottle your own well water. And TBH, I never like drinking city water. Tastes funny and they put stuff in it. Still prefer well.

Water is fluoridated here in Ireland, so I chose bottled water. With all the bad press the fluoridation process has been getting, I've decided not to risk drinking it.

in the UK the tap water is very drinkable, though you should always boil water before drinking it tbh, so i end up drinking tea all the time (well that's my excuse for my stupid tea intake) :D

It was a mountain stream that was flowing really fast up in the Sierra Nevada mountains... I thought water at 11K ft. that was clear and fast flowing would be safe

Bottled water. But then I'm from America and we have crappy tap where I live. I'm in Britain now and tap isn't that bad. Might account for the better tasting Coke, too.

When I regularly see petrol cheaper than bottled water per litre: tap. But I probably wouldn't in any other country when the government either poisons it or doesn't attempt to clean their crap out of it.

Got an RO Unit in the kitchen that provides near on perfectly pure water. Tastes odd tbh, but you get no scale whatsoever in your kettle, that as well as a water softener for the mains.
So generally, I partake in tap. I've never needed to buy bottled water with the amount of multi-stage filtration we have connected up here.
