i would like an insuance adjustment....
here what i would like to see and most people i talk to in game whole heartedly agree so im looking to forums for more support!
i would like insurance to work off regional average and if your item is not sold in current region then it will default to nearest sale region average and this insurance is not adjusted untill it has factord all your low slot moduals high slot moduals mid slot moduals and possibly rigs.
example: in sinq leason tempest 90 mill x1 650mm auto cannon II 3.5 mill x6 large diminishing nos 1.2 mill x2 tracking computer II 1.2 mill x1 webber II 1.2 mill x1 ECM II 1.2 mill x1 perpoltion jammer II 1.2 mill x1 capacitor recharger II 1.2 mill x2 energised adaptiv nano II 1.2 mill x1 damage controle II 1.2 mill x1 rolled tungston plates 1.2 mill x3 armor extender riggs 20 mill x3 for a grand total of 100% insurance would require coverage of 186.6 million isk and at 100% coverage requires 25% payment of 46.65 million isk.
if this is not make every one happy for full rembursement how about anything on the destroyed list is rembursed and anything that survive adjust insurance pay out so surviving items do not earn rembursment pay out. so if you lose suviving items to enemy players you lose the isk you gave them but get all your destroyed items rembursed to you.

Actually, insurances should either be removed entirely, or made much more realistic. No insurance company would offer contracts where they have higher risk than gain.
Insurance rates should indeed depend on the value of the ship, but more importantly it should be figured in how many ships the client has lost in total, lost within the last week and how high his security rating is. That should affect the cost for the insurance contract.
However, payout should further be modified by the security rating of the system where the ship was lost and the question whether or not the client was the aggressor or defender.
Make the security rating of the system a direct multiplier, so that if you lose a ship in 1.0 your payout multiplies by 1, while if you lose it in 0.0, your payout is multiplied by 0. No insurance company in it's right mind would pay, if you lose your ship in a clearly dangerous environment. If I'd drive my car knowingly straight through a warzone, my insurance company would chuckle and kick me out, if I expended compensation for any damages.

Edited by: ScienceOfficer Aracelli on 19/12/2008 08:52:54 there are alot of unrealistic things in game like willingness to to fight so eagaly because of self preservation.
but thats not the issue it a way to sink a fair amout of earnd isk so 1 does not become instantly broke after 1 fight. most people can aford to fight in eve if you take away insurance the only people fighting are those who pay for isk with real money.
just think of every other game out there where if you die no worries you lose nothing and often dont have to waste time refitting your charictors hehe. in eve every loss is loss to wallet to goals to equipment to time... there is alot to lose in eve often after 1 bs loss 100% inssured if your not illeagaly getting isk your ready to retire pvp till your wallet can help you replace lost ship. if you have better insurance on ships you at least can get back to action a little quicker.
so lets help the players out a little more lets cover alittle more items under insurance and obvoiusly pay a little more for the coverage.
if we can do this im sure the losses will be ever so slightly less on the players getting 1 or 2 more duels out of the current combat system and im sure you will find more people willing to fight and less people tossing thier computers out a 3 story window when they lose a carrier

Don't put all your eggs in one basket, don't fly what you can't afford to lose, don't die.
That should fix the problem of losing expensive stuff and begin broke afterwards.
WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE MODULE INSURANCE if this was implemented it would completely wreck the fear of loss that make PvP in eve so good.

thats where you go wrong the players that have no fear in pvp are the ones who purchase isk illeagaly and can afford bigger losses.
every player i know who mines or missions or rats cant afford anything nice but the players who have carriers and 15 HAC in station are guess what getting isk illeagly.
i personaly can make around 100 mill per day in missions if i and very focused and noticed that 100 mill will only cover 1 loss of a bs and mods for mods cost on average 80 mill and insurance 20 mill
i make more isk than anyone in my corp who rat because they dock when super large alliances show up and make far more isk than anyone who mines hehe
and i still cant aford to lose anything. if you make more isk tham me you sleep less than me and you have no job like me and your not in 0.0... i bet!!! so if you can aford to pvp better than me you are a cheater with out a doubt.
i will promise this....
now i have to say you people who cheat and buy isk can buy it less often with better insurance and still give you an edge over the rest of us but allow the small guy to cry less over losses and hurry back to the action.
i fully understand this post and fully agree and suprised we are currently 50/50 hehe i know all the people i talk to have spoke of this once. and happy to see it on forums.

No, the ones who have no fear are the ones who don't fail. Your assumption that nobody can earn more isk than you is ridiculous also. You are such an idiot it's left me dumbstruck, you have actually stated...

Obviously you fail miserably. Or you are a good troll. You can make 30mil/h ratting easily, if u get officer/faction rats, that makes your income that much higher. Maybe u should learn how to play.

ingame Insurance is madness
Change insurance Payout 100% in 1.0 and 0% in 0.0
Also, in 1.0 to 0.1 you void your insurance by crime.
When you DECLARE war, any wartarget that kills you there is no payout. the insurance is void. When a war is mutual this counts for both sides.
Thats the way Insurance should have always been.
(100% is the amount that the insurance would currently pay which is determined by the level of insurance on your ship)

There are traders that clear a billion a day with just 30 minutes of playing.
There are scammers that make 200 million for 2 minutes of work.
Etc, etc.
You sir, are a hard worker. Not very smart though.

I'd love to see this guy eat his words, but I have better things to do...
Here's a recommendation: At least try to have some maturity. Even teenagers can be mature (shock, I know), and full-grown adults can be total babies.
As for the insurance thing... I honestly don't want it messed with. It'd probably just become a mess, anyway. ---- "Sounds like a bad case of pikal envy, if you ask me."

i used to scam and i try them all and do not see it as worth its time. the people who fall for scams are to poor to make a differance and other players are sure to make local aware of your attempts if your making isk scamming. you can make more elsewhere cuz you speed 3 weeks scamming and finnaly get one you think muhahaha but in reality you could have earn more isk honestly hehe.
i make very good isk as trader and have to say it takes money to make money here so the more you invest the more you get returned i have 5 billion isk investesed and after a full days work i maybe have profited 50 mill. that is if your products move same day if it takes time on sale orders then you burn isk waiting and then i resort to missions till i get a large bulk of my 5 billion returned.i have my very own corp set up with 75% tax and all transactions are through corp so apoxamately 25% of profits go to my personal wallet for spending hehe.
i have to say i find level 4 missions with highest total pay out but i tend to lose ships on some hard missions so i lose a great deal of my profits in losses.
i have to say all these ideas of lowering the pay out is for what? to stop peopple from flying so you can sit outside as king ding-a-ling and one can combat you bease they cant aford anything and sit in pod in station because they have no isk?
lol i fully see how less insurance will cause more unhappy players meaning less fun meaning more stress meaning why play eve meaning quit...

Edited by: Kerfira on 20/12/2008 12:39:13 Insurance should be removed completely, or at least heavily curtailed.
First of all, there should be NO insurance at all in 0.0 (and reduced in low-sec). Secondly, larger ships should only be partially insurable.
The reason for this is that smaller T1 ships aren't being used, simply because the bigger ships are too cheap. Flying a BS should be a BIG investment, and the people who do so should be respected for risking it. Today its just the standard PvP ship....
So, adjust insurance payout like this:
Danger adjustment: High-sec: 100% Low-sec: 50% 0.0: 0%
Ship adjustment: Frigate: 100% Destroyer: 75% Cruiser: 50% Battle cruiser: 25% Battleship: 0% Capital: 0%
This would still be newbie friendly, and would make the ships chosen for combat more varied.

nerfing insurance in this way wouldn't stop people using bs. A battleship takes about 5-6 hours of mining in high sec if you've got one hulk so it's hardly a huge investment.
People don't fly the smaller ships because they know someone else will just bring a BS and therefore everyone defaults to the largest/most powerful ship they can fly.

I assume you are proposing to offer this service ? People send you their premiums, then you pay off the lossmails, right ?
OK, so work up an IPO, get an auditor, post it on MD.
Oh. Wait. You want to be on the other side of this. You want free isk when you lose ships doing stupid things.

wow not what i expected!!! im sorry i brought it up i clearly see form players are in far diferent views than day to day normal players hmmmm.
i have propose this idea to like 30 people in game and not a 1 has had 1 negitive thing to say but here there are players that want players to quit eve...
im a very wealthy player. i will have a titan the same day i have the skill to use it and if insurance goes away i quit eve and i am giving everything i own to my corp.
sad but true, i work to hard to earn a prety new toy and if it pops i can be upset depending on the severity of the loss.
i have not yet lost any capital ships but if i did i know the pain be less with insurance but enough to make me take another 6 month break from eve im sure.
i lost a 100% insured bs in a mission that warp me to the center of an steroid so so escaping mission was not an option and devs did not repace my ship and i take 6 months away from eve.
im no baby cuz i have lost 5 100% inssured bs in same day in a large scale war and i was extreemly upset but i play for blood... i wanted my revenge and i was going to **** everyone who got in my way.
but stupid stuff makes me wanna quit like players that make me wanna buy a plain ticket to what ever country they live so i can remove thier right to breath and give them a long dirt nap.
and stupid losses like oops i forgot to insure or oops i warp to an stuck point and cant do anything.

ok i have an alt with the highest of highest perfect mining skill if i can build a bs with 5-6 hours of mining i will buy you anything you desire. how can i make this claim cuz i run multiple clients 4 or more if not in combat.
can i earn 1 bs in 5 hours with an orca and 4 hulks now we are getting closer but yet still no!!! where you get the rare mins?
not in high sec so you buy them where you get the isk to buy them mine more common mins to trade up! meaning another 3 or 4 more days of mining.
dont exadureate on my post for i have the answers!
this game is far more apealing than WOW but in the game WOW if you die you lose nothing and no one can loot you thus why when they try eve and go sweet then lose a ship and everything they have on it the go hmmm time to play WOW!!!
how about a stonger insurance plan so the WOW players go hmmmm this games awesome and what the name of that other game i used to play??? ah who cares time for more eve...

what is troll? i see it mentioned in almost every thread...
maybe thats a good thing?
yes i lose all my items in mission and i had to try to kill mission with ibis and could not so i had to beg for help because i lost everything and honestly i think i forget or never learn of insurance but if i had insurance i would get my kestral and mods back so i can complete mission by self.
i want this in game and i will be sure to insure my future ships:(

and only ship should be insured.

lets play nice here hehe....
ok well i have to say
i see in other post about jump clones and prices of them i think if we bumped up the price of clone upgrades it will cause a little more self preservation meaning you will want to fit bigger ships if you are an incredibly advanced player such as myself thus making your losses so much greater you want to keep your insurance.
with my pod upgrade a bit higher than 30 mill for each upgrade i find it hard to resist sitting in a bs or my carrier or my dread.
you know 1 modual on my dread is as much or more than some fully fitted t2 frigs or what and so a loss of this magnitude without insurance leaves me to pitty anyone who loss such a ship with no insurance.

to play a mmorpg that you never lose anything when you die is unrealistic but to play eve and lose a months worth of effort in the 45 second combat that pops your bs as a little on thoe oposite spectrum.
if we lose it all its fine but how about a little more return for our loses so the demoralization and utter rage you feel when ganked for no reason is not such a hard blow to the ongoing persute to get ahead in eve.
a little more insurance wont stop loss it just makes it ever so slightly less agrovating and maybe reduce the turn over of eve players.
