I've just installed the latest Nvidia driver (61.76 July 20th) and am having some problems.
After the splash screen, when the EULA and login screen comes up the window is all white. I managed to login (from memory of where to type etc.) and when I get to the character choice screen everything is white excpet the blue parts.
Also, when I exit I can somewhat see the exit confirmation window. It seems translucent.
Any ideas? (Tried clearing the cache)

Went back to the second newest driver and everything is OK. That's what I get for getting the 'latest' driver.
Still, CCP take note. ----------------------------------------------- 11/17/04 Are Formal Contracts in yet? Divisional Wallets? Taxes? BP lockdown? |

Good luck with complaining about nVidia driver issues.
CCP appear to be ignoring this issue totally

Odd. 61.76 was just released today, but I've been running 61.80 for the last month. What the hell is up with Nvidia's driver release schedule? ----- I have taken all knowledge to by my province. - Sir Francis Bacon science & technology news

While I had no problems with logging in using the latest 'official' 61.76 FW drivers, I noticed that the bug with Minmatar stations & billboards being blank is still there. It seems a little strange because it was an 'acknowledged issue' in the last versions release notes, and isn't mentioned at all in the current version's.
There's several leaked 62.xx series nvidia drivers, but none of them address the other two problems I mentioned above. Those can be gotten from places like guru3d.com.

To all the ppl that says rollback We have used the 53.03 version now for months (since, 2004-04-01) waiting for Nvidia to fix the problems with missing billboards etc. Sure itĘs a solution to the problem, but not in the long run. The latest driver affects the card performance a lot. ItĘs like having a Ferrari and not being able to use it to the max because the right petrol isnĘt is available.
To CCP Please fix the problem, if it were a problem that effected all the graphic when playing/using EVE I would also blame the problem on Nvidia or whatever graphic driver manufacturer. But in this case it only affects a few thing, something that you can fix.

Edited by: Major Gormur on 21/07/2004 14:19:13 We have installed this driver on 3 machines with no luck on getting this white screen. What graphics card do you have and OS?
Have you tried installing DirectX 9.0B again? That seems to help allot of people that are having graphical problems.
Does someone else have this problem? If so let us know what type of card you have what OS and all the info you can give us.

I have just installed the newest nvidia drivers, and I'm having the white screen problem described by others here.
I can get into the game because I know where the buttons are. Once inside, window boarders and titlebars are all white, along with module icons in my hangar. There are probasbly other graphical errors as well.
Also, The game now runs at a horrible slow framerate.
I've reinstalled direct x, and uninstalled and reinstalled the recent windows xp directx 9 hotfix. I'm still having the same white screen problem.
Windows xp pro service pack 1 nvidia geforce 4 440 mx with latest detonator drivers. pentium 4 2.6 Ghz 512 RAM
Any suggestions?

Edited by: Caine on 21/07/2004 19:37:08 same here, the log in screen is whited out but sound plays.
Geforce4 440 mx 64 mb (just updated driver) Pentium 4 3.0 512 mb ram (400mhz)
was working fine before the new driver, I'm rolling back now. I'm not going to mess about with reinstalling dx as I feel it's ccp's responsibility to get this sorted and function with offically released drivers.
feel free to laugh at my pittiful graphics card

I installed the newest Nvidia Drivers and everythings fine.
EXCEPT the age old problem of the billboards being blank.
Again.
Im not a programmer and im sure there may be a few bugs they would rather work on, but isnt this problem minor? As in can be fixed with a few lines of code?
sigh...
