Production has now started on this amazing device and I am taking orders (evemail me in game).
FAQS.
Q. How much does it Cost?
A. The initial price is 180m. Yes, I know its ridculously high but the cost to make it is also extremely high. This price only applies for this week, I will revise it at the end of each week so if the price is too high for you right now then wait a few weeks for the price to drop. Early adopters always pay a premium to get ahead.
Q. Can I have a list of the components
A. No
Q. Can I buy the BPO from you
A. No, I have no plans to sell the BPO at the current time
Q. Do you deliver?
A. No. Once we have agreed the sale and the device has been made I will evemail you details of how to collect it (and yes it will be in Empire space, you will not have to travel into dangerous space to get it)
Q. How quick can you make it?
A. Due to RL pressures (dammit why do we have to work for a living), and the build time required , production is limited to about 1 a day so please be patient.
If you have any other questions then evemail me in game or convo me.

People would have to be insane to buy one but Im sure you'll get a few sales at that price with the "Got to have it" crowd.

So it's expensive to make, but you won't tell us how expensive. Would that be because, it's not that expensive to make?
It's a shame there are people with so much money that they'll actually pay those prices even if they know they're getting ripped off, because they'll keep the prices artificially high whether they object to them or not.

Both are linked, the cost isn't going to be no where near 180mil hence he won't give the list of components cause then we'll know how expensive it really is.

There are, I think, two factors.
First is that he presently appears to have a monopoly or a near-monopoly on production; as such, he'll charge what the market can bear. As these get to have a larger distribution, competition will increase and he'll be forced to lower his prices.
Second is that the covert ops cloak will be reliant on the prototype cloak prices for production, something he may not necessarily control (and therefore an expense he is subject to). Indeed, it may even require the improved cloak II, though that I somewhat doubt.

If only people had a little patience and waited a bit of time to let the price drop instead of buying it at the current price. But ohwell....it's their isk i suppose.

There will ultimately be 8 BPO's of all the tech II items, unless the devs change their mind on how they have bee doing things. So I expect the prices to drop sharply within 2 or 3 weeks. To me, it's not a long period of time. I can wait. If you have somewhere to be and you have to be cloaked within that period of time, then maybe you will shell out that much isk.
When I got my tech II BPO, I started selling at what was average for current tech II items. I made more cash from Volume not the actual cost of the item.
