Herr Eismann	Posted - 2009.01.02 00:55:00 - [1] personally, i like the looks and weapons of the Star Trek ships. I think it would be cool for the next patch to have a new race, and that race be most like Star Fleet. Most of the weapons are already there (torpedos, lasers, etc.). Maybe it wud help EVE advertise to develop a contract with the Star Trek guys. Then everybody wud be spared their stupid STO talk. Let me know what you think of this

They're always passive shield tanked, do nothing but EM/Therm damage, have a max range of around 1km, and have awful tracking (as evidenced by the fact that they rarely maneuver while firing).

I'll be getting a sub when its released and am waiting to apply for the beta. Will it take me away from Eve? Of course not as its going to be moar like E&B or Wow in space with some Eve like elements for the pvp side of things. All in all if the people who took over development are as dedicated to it as CCP are to Eve it might be a major contender for new subs. But with the rest of the Trinity graphics overhauls and WiS on the near horizon I doubt Sto will ever have a truly negative effect just a bit of nice competition to get both companies on the aggressive to lure in new subs. Ships in Star Trek are ****ing tiny... they get massacred by most Sci Fi.

Actually they have superb tracking as they can and have shot missiles out of the sky easily, the only issue was lock time on those occasions.... Oh god i need to have sex....
