My favorite part is where they lost loads of tech 2 mining barges and an orca and we lost a bunch of crappy frigates and cruisers we can replace after one ninja salvage.
Well this thread has some high points. Kept me interested whilst at work So I checked out the available killboards. My advice, if you are going to start quoting your KB AC perhaps you should make sure your alliance mates post their loses as well as their kills

It's usually done via automated API, which hadn't worked for a couple of weeks because of my absence, and we have an admitted "QR Datadump" issue as well. (Some T2 items are resulting in a "Killmail is malformed" error.) That being said, it will be updated as soon as possible.

Originally by: Herr Wilkus Just saw the alliance board.....and yep, the Orca kill is there, along with an Itty V assist.
Nothing else though made the list. Thanks for the reply though. Its not really a big deal, I guess its just the first war I've really had a chance to participate in while part of TEARS, and wanted to see how our little corp stacks up with SN's best! Lots of cool statistics and tables, but kind of disappointing after all that hard work, and nothing shows up unless a SN member had a share of the kill. The solo kills are completely missing.
Oh, adding a Wreathe and a pod to the kill list Smile...and a Vagabond and a pod to the loss list Sad
Ah well, 8:1 K/D ratio isn't bad.
Posted in this very thread... Because he was obviously trying to hide it
FYI troll - TEARS KB is populated by the api so we can't post or (choose not to) our wins / losses it's all automatically done so if one guys wasn't on there it might have something to do with the QR update Tchell had to put on the board awhile ago or some other glitch in the system. |

You did get that part right :^) Your board shows 49 losses to 18 kills. I do see some tech II losses on your side also. Seems you guys are ever so slightly ahead in the isk killed versus lost by about 400 million isk. Thats equivelant to the cost of 2-3 battleships.
Your a smart guy and you've seen that our killboard hasn't included the 2.02 billion orca loss which means your rubbing poor CEOs face in that 2.02 billion loss.
You are evil. And I played right into you hands.
Thats 2 billion 2 hundred thousand isk by the way. roughly 20 tier two battleships or 40 tier one battleships or 5714.2 (roughly) tier six frigates.

1. Did not get fleeted to join or were asked in any way to enter. Therefor you bypassed normal game mechanics by probing it out
Probing for ships in deadspace IS a normal game mechanic.
2. You take advantage of players who can't prevent you in any way from doing it.
Can't prevent you? The mechanics are there. It's up to you to figure out how to use them. Can theft is preventable for the more astute player.
I've actually had this happen several times, I don't pay, just drop a petition and they reset the mission. That's REALLY good when the mission is a nice fat Bounty one too and I was almost done with it...KA-CHING!
Now that is exploit! You're too... uh.. "not smart" to use normal game mechanics to protect your assets, or potential assets, so you run whining and a crying to the daddys of eve to reset your mission?
Whatever GM did that has started on a slippery slope. How about if I come in the mission and start shooting the rats thus getting your bounties? Waaaa. CCP reset my Mission!
How about if I wait until you have two little frigs left in the mission and I come in my little fast ship, gain aggro and get the frigs to chase me out of your range and I keep them there? Thus making your mission 'un-complete-able' until I get bored with that game. Waaaa... CCP reset my mission!
What's next? I come into your mission and mine your 'roids. Waaaa.... CCP that Veldspar was mine! Reset my mission!
News Flash! You are NOT helpless preventing your mission item from Yoinkage. It's only ONE man you need to deal with. You have you and your ENTIRE corps that can get vengeful on my arsh.
Jeez... some people.

Edited by: Kahega Amielden on 17/01/2009 19:25:04 It seems a lot of people are confused about this war here. The chief evidence is the KB stats of REPO's campaign vs us.
However, we don't engage REPO. To understand why, you need to get our initial motivation for the war. Our goal for the war is to disrupt CEO, and punish them for the violation of Dodixie salvage laws.
When REPO decced us, it's like people expected us to stop what we're doing and attack them. Why? How would fighting REPO help us accomplish our goals? The only way that could help is if we were able to beat REPO into submission so badly that their reputation would be shot and they'd pull out of the war themselves. We could attempt to do that (Although it probably wouldn't happen due to the average SP/PVP experience of most of our members compared to REPO). Or, we could just avoid them and go ahead with our inital goals: disrupting CEO.
Success in a war is measured against the initial goals. Ours was to disrupt CEO. Have we succeeded? Judging by the fact that CEO is hemorrhaging corps and members and we've forced their members to dock up or die, I'd say our war has been an epic success. Given that the dec with REPO was dropped and that they were forced to make a deal with CA, I'd imagine we cut hard into their wallet as well.
I'm sure this post is going to get flamed by some KB padders who think that going after our initial war goals is the same thing as getting our ass kicked, but we really don't care. CEO's current position speaks for itself

Well then.
I just logged on and almost all of the CEO corps have dropped alliance. As of right now, The Pegasus Foundation, Transminers, the executor holding corp, and one other. Total of 57 members now compared to the 250 or so when the war started.

Wining the war. Lets see here, who really "won" that war. Sides involved, TEARS, Methods of Mayhem, and Crushed Ambitions VS. CEO, and REPO.
CEO could only afford one week of declarations from REPO, repo was unable to keep CA from dealing damage to CEO Methods was more interested in fighting repo, and TEARS spend that week dieing.
The action that caused CEO to fall apart and actually failure cascade was the act of paying Crushed Ambitions 1 billion isk, to cease hostilities, with an agreement for another 1 billion isk in one month. Also the deal included being paid additional isk to declare war on TEARS. After being paid 1 billion isk, the announcement caused CEO to failure cascade, as corporations felt they were yielding to ransom, i specifically would like to thank CSM Berret, the failure pilgrim pilot, for trolling forums and causing TSM to leave and taking SHANT the alliances executor with them. Once Shant was out of the picture there was no one left to hold the alliance together. It fell apart in under 24 hours.
So who won the war? TEARS, who killed a single Orca, and road their single accomplishment untill the end of the war?
or was it Crushed Ambitions who didn't lose to R.E.P.O isk wise or ship wise, who tore CEO apart, who was PAID one billion ISK, and as a result of being paid, forced the political situation in CEO to spawn a failure cascade.

Apparently you are ignorant of how wars and surrender mails work in this case. All parties who have an active war with CEO alliance at the time they disbanded (in practicality) would receive the exact same number of mails. Additionally you appear to spend more time on the forums rather than in game.
One last thing, judging by the mails I've seen from the various killboard's, your alliance of petty thief's and ninja ratters seemed quite adapt at avoiding a real fight- excellent work. |

Tchell, if I may amplify and agree with your point, here's how it looks to me.
A few weeks ago, a member of a CEO corp smacked some Ninjas in local, drawing the alliance to TEARS attention. TEARS declared war, setting into motion a chain of events during which CEO appears to have been utterly destroyed as an alliance. TEARS is having fun and is as strong as ever, however strong that may be.
Looks like victory, smells like victory, tastes like victory.
I begin to see why some alliances have firm no-smack-in-local rules. |

Speaking of ignorant, our War was running for days before anyone else jumped in and decced CEO, so we enjoyed a number of mails that the others wouldn't. The Corps didn't just drop because of the extra heat - they did so because we initiated it.
So, before you embarrass yourself, next time, check your sources.

Edited by: Miss Pauli on 18/01/2009 05:37:45 the only way you would have more surrender mails than anyone else is if you forced corps out of the alliance before the real PvPer's joined. If this happened, nice job and good for you- but the vast number of surrender mails generated toady by the failure of the CEO alliance were sent to ALL current war targets to CEO.
I might also add that the failure of CEO alliance had little to nothing to do with your miserable pickings of mostly carebear targets, but rather by the combined pressure of two dedicated PvP groups who were able to work together from time to time and also kill thier targets despite the overwhelming number of the hired mercs REPO. Where are the mails where Suddenly actually came out to fight rather than to hide and pick off lone targets?
And, as nice as it must feel to be the first to war-dec an alliance, do you really think you all could have handled REPO alone, without them being otherwise engaged with Methods of Mayhem and Crushed Ambitions?
Looking at your killboard, I think I'll answer my own question for you: "No"
edit to above post: I'm sorry for not checking my posts for perfect grammar and spelling- I don't really like spending a lot of time on the forum, I prefer actually doing my fighting with turrets and drones (unlike some alliance leaders who can never be reached in game....)

I'm nearly sick of arguing, answer me this Ninjas. What would've happened if it would've stayed just CEO vs TEARS? Do you really think you would've won? Last time I checked, picking off lone enemies and never facing them in full force weren't very good tactics.
