I was reading trough the first post in this thread, and was like: Yeah how dear CCP suggest that people who fight together actually takes the time to get to know eachother and discuss fittings and stuff before you start fighting.
Cus we all know that pvp is all about reading the alliance mail and see what pos your ordered to meet up at this time.
I dont see what you are worried about. Knowing the alliances, i guess that it will take about a month until the brainwashed "pvp gods" in 0.0 with all their "real pvp" get a alliance mail telling them how to put together their ship or they will not be tolerated into the fleet.
Everyone else, the ones in random lowsec/highsec pvp corps who doesnt care about " real pvp: alliance mindless blob style" Are probably doing stuff like, i dunno.. maybe discussing different setups and testing what works for them. And having lots of fun doing it.
An actual FC is my worst nighmare..

I have to agree with Thaar there, in that PVP is all about testing what works for you. Many ships and modules tend to be context specific, so 'copy and paste' setups are not really the answer.
For ages, I heard so many people state that Stealth Bombers are useless. However, I find them quite useful, used properley. At the moment, I am testing out tracking disruptors, despite all the negative press. I see no reason why they shouldn't neutralise sniper ships, fitted to the right ship.
Also, I don't know why there is so much protest against T3 ships when they haven't even been released yet. You've no idea what effect they will have yet, beyond wild speculation based on conjecture. At least give CCP the benefit of the doubt and wait and see. |

Dude lets wait and see what they are before we pass judgment. I'm sure one reason it is only cruisers at this point is to find balance before adding other t3 ships.
We the players have proven much more capable of breaking the system than the devs in the past, so there is no way to fully test it til it comes to live servers.
I expect it will have some modifications after release.

I am personally excited to see these new ships and what they have to offer. This is not going to be an FC nightmare. At worst case scenario you might have to include if you are speed/tackle/ewar/dps equipped. Something along those lines. If not that then something else. Players have a way of adapting very well to all situations (just like they did with the speed nerf).
What I want is the T3 skill requirements and skill books now!! Gimme gimme.

Dont even worry about t3. It wont affect EVE at all.
Its a marketting stunt used by CCP, it will never see proper use as it'l be too expensive.
They will only be used as trophies for rich emp huggers (chribba is gonna have a whole set! xD) |

stop panicking if your FC is even half worth his salt your experience wont change. And if you are the FC I feel sorry for your corp/alliance as you obviously are not secure in your ability to think on your feet.
And how would the fact it looks like a drake effect our target calling? does it show up in shiptype as drake?
asfor the atmosphere being changed? how? theres nothing in the lore saying ship hulls are all set in stone period. also when you create your own T3 hull (admitting i dont know all the details) im pretty sure your still going to haveto go through the PG/CPU/Slot balancing game

I for one look forward to our T3 ship overlords. FC's will still do their job by calling name first, although saying ship type will be quite fun ("primary Joe Bloggs in the... ship combination 5-4-4-2-1! Screw it, just shoot at where everyone else is shooting at!")  |

I totally second this, here is ccp giving us customizable content the likes of which no game has clearly done on this scale and some peeps are against it. Tho I will say I am satisfied that there are ways to not suffer an SP loss if the t3 ships goes boom. Sounds like the "EJECT" button is gonna be used alot more now.

I'm all for T3. Even though it wil ridiculously expensive and exclusionary and thus rarely if ever used for pvp. The only thing I think is a bad idea is certain 10 kms T3 Cruisers, which is apparently posible.
