Took the free invite....

temponita	Posted - 2009.01.15 01:22:00 - [1] Well I got yet another tantalizing email to re-join Eve after months of inactivity, Quantum rise seemed catchy and the freebee + rebate was pretty enticing too! However, after I logged in and started trudging around, looking through my stuff, new gates, yadee yadaa, that old yawning familiarity of the Eve online I became so bored of was all coming back to me. My interest died after about 30 mins as I quietly clicked exit to return to my boring life. unfortunaly, its just not boring enough to warrant playing Eve again. Sorry CCP. This game is a dead-end for me. Call me when there's some actual user-end skill involved in the players ability to succeed in the Eve universe. This whole mindless point-n-click, gate jumping rince-and-repeat fiasco is nothing but a total waist of time. I can't help but agree with the Zero Punctuation: Eve Online review going around the web. It's too bad though... I would love to see the Eve engine put to good use someday.

About the other routine MMOs that lose my attention after between one and thirty days. So you go back to WoW and I'll stay here and enjoy EVE. Deal? Okay, good. Bye.

With that out of the way, I wold dare say you're doing it wrong. What I mean is, if it's boring, try somthing else. Have yet to try any kind of PvP? go do it, join FW or pirate corp, maybe an 0.0 alliance. Build stuff maybe? or do whatever you haven't done yet. I find eve boring when I am in empire, missions are boring, i don't do mining. But when i get back to 0.0, it's just more fun, PvP is actually fun in this game (eve-online and guild wars are the only two games i found PvP worthy and actual fun to do). So, adapt or die/you're doing it wrong? »»»»»»»»»»»» Willtanking - I am tanking by the force of my will to survive!
