Edited by: Mrs MaltaProject on 15/01/2009 21:29:20 Alright im absouluty sure this is the wrong place to discuss this since i couldn't find any threads on the subject here, but here goes.
Ive been playing subscribed for about 6-7 months, i dont know much about the entire reality of the game play, or how to properly fit ships, but i do know that i can read and what i just read kind of scares me.
TO QUOTE "What we'd like to do is a two step approach to ensure that EVE continues to be jaw-dropping gorgeous:
Step 1: In Apocrypha, March 10th, we discontinue support for ShaderModel 1, making ShaderModel 2 (GeForce FX (5 series) or ATi R300 series cards or compatible) the minimum requirement and discontinue the "Classic client" version of EVE, replacing it with "Premium Lite"
Step 2: In the Winter Expansion 2009 we are considering discontinuing support for ShaderModel 2 and make the minimum specification ShaderModel 3(GeForce 6 class cards or ATi x1300 or compatible)
We know this will affect some players out there. What we don't know is exactly how many. We estimate that about 95% of all subscribers currently have hardware that is SM2 compatible. We further predict that in q4 this year over 97% of subscribers will have SM3 capable hardware. This means that an estimate of anywhere from 3%-5% of current subscribers would have to update their computers or graphics cards to be able to continue playing." End quote
There might be a few people in my same position here or maybe not, i dont know. What i do know is that i JUST bought a new laptop this winter, it hit all of the MAXIMUM requirements for the SM3 but the graphics carp. im running an ATI X1250 which is one modle under the minimum requirement. I dont know if CCP knows this or not but im sure atleast 45-46% of the people who are currently suited to run SM2 are on laptops like myself. We all know that 97% of laptops are not upgradeble. Not to mention the fact that the 3% that are, cost more than a desktop PC that could run 5 Premium clients.
For me to continue playing and paying im going to have to spend another 700+ dollars to get a new a computer. Lets not just focus on me here. Lets refer back to the 45-46% of people who could run SM2 that are on laptops in my same situation. 45% of 250,000 players is how many again?
In conclusion, point is stated. For those who do not get it, its faily simple. If my statistics are correct (please keep in mind that 90% of statistics are made up on the spot) alot more people will have to spend 700+ dollars come winter of this year to keep playing eve. Now in America, the one with the crumbling economy, what are the chances ALL of them are going to do that. Or even yet, what are the chances that HALF of them will.
Finally what im really trying to say, do not get rid of classic graphics if premium light becomes to expensive to maintain by this summer. Please keep it in consideration for those of us who weren't told we were screwing our selves when we bought a laptop.
Best Regards, Malta

Maybe we should give him the link to the thread to post in about this. It was mentioned in the dev blog. Then again since he didn't see the link he probably only read half of it and doesn't know what he is talking about.

None of us want to go through all this again with each individual that wants CCP to keep supporting their toaster untilt he end of time rather than buying a $20 card or building a new gaming rig (and laptops aren't made for gaming so you get what you get when it comes to that).
So rather than us going through this the 800th time, just hit the second page of the forum and enjoy. Or go read the announcement in the announcement forum and post there.

SM3.0 applies only to graphics cards its not a part of cpus so your laptop did not meet all the maximum requirements for sm3.0 like you state.

It's rather simple. If cost of keeping up with old hardware > income from customers with old hardware THEN discontinue support for SM2. No amount of forum whining will stop this.

So let me understand this. YOUR stats are better than CCP's? You know what kind of machines connect to their servers better than they do? Because you extrapolated from a completely unrelated set of statistics about the general WEB BROWSING population's hardware to fit a GAMING community?
By your logic, 54% of the EVE community is female, because 54% of the world's population are women.
GENIUS.
Rather than complaining that your laptop of however many years won't play a modern video game after 2009 ends, how about hitting craigslist and looking for a cheap $100 desktop that will do it for you? Hell, you could probably put a new one together for $200 with retail parts (the video card to support SM3 itself is only $20).
And again, go read the threads on page two or three of the forum or respond to the announcement itself in the announcement forum. We're not going to go through some long 300 post threadnaught every time someone gets upset that technology has finally outpaced the toaster they've become attached by the hip to. -- Dirk Magnum's Heartfelt Confession |

Edited by: Mrs MaltaProject on 15/01/2009 21:52:40 MY stats were the stats of the current amount of laptop owners in the country. Useing intelligence and those stats, im comparing them with CCP's to get an estimated number.
I KNOW MY STATS MIGHT BE OUT OF DATE OR WRONG. That is what an estimation is for, seeing as CCP didn't provide to me or anyone the number of current subscribers there are that use a laptop. I do not know weather they know that number or not, so i'm going on the next best guess that i have.

Stop right there. Stop argueing statistics.
Also, what is your logic on using statistics of laptop users? I'm typing this from a laptop with SM4 (which was less then $700 when I bought it).

Your stats are irrelevant to the question at hand because the laptop population at large does reflect the gaming laptop populaton subset.
Unless you have some numbers on how those two groups correlate to each other, no amount of intelligence will allow you to draw any kind of conclusions about one based on data from the other, and any estimate you make will at best be nothing more than a wild guess. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Ive noticed the only people complaining are the laptop users.
Try this on for size. My 3 year old laptop used to run eve TOO. with this i lose my ability to play on it as well, but guess what, tough crap, and considering my laptop is for work anyways, the last thing i do is run eve often. I purchased a new desktop every two years for gaming, my laptop is meant for work.
My advice, buy a new desktop and leave the laptop for work. if circumstances prevent you from being able to sit in front of a desktop for gaming, then stop playing eve as your lifestyle doesnt really allow it (whether you realize this or not)
Thats pretty much all i will say on the matter.

I could sit infront of a desktop, i can change my lifestyle to do anything. Playing a game is last of the list of changes i want to make in my lifestyle, but it can and will be made if it comes to that. What i can't change are my finances, family, and job.
I don't want to stop playing a game that is literally like no other that i have ever played, just because i can't afford it. Not only would all of the cash that I put into the awesome game would all go to waste, that just makes me feel bad and feel poor since I can't afford the nicer things in life. Even the cheaper computers that could run the premium client, even after being bought at walmart, would end up being 500-600$ seeing as i would have to buy a new monitor, speakers, and a keyboard. This is a problem since my money spending goes, family first, me second |

If you bought a labtop to game on then its no one but your fault when it goes out of date withing 2 years and cannot run the newest games anymore. You knew what you were buying. In this day and age you should know that a lab top will go out of date and that the labtop you are looking to buy is upgradable or not.
In other words choosing to game on a labtop is not the companys fault. Its not their fault they keep up to date with new technologies. Its not the companys fault that you do not do that.
Get where im going with this?

Pot meet kettle. Kettle meet pot. Now get along or they'll be no ice cream.
The point many people are trying to make here, is that for a gaming community, laptops are the minority. Mainly due to the fact that laptop become obsolete even faster then desktop (well technically they come pre-nerfed, but the outcome is the same). Complaining because your laptop won't run a video game is not going to get you any sympathy, especially if you start acting like an elitist about it.

First the ones not wanting this change to take place and complain about it wont win.
Second to shorten my last post. If you choose to game on a labtop then it is YOUR fault when it ends up out of date and cant play something using the new software.
Now my desktop is 6 year old. Ive made two upgrades in all that time. A couple years back I added 2 gigs of ram for a total of 4 gigs and in the past year I bought a new video card. Not a uber monster super video card but on that was new. Six years ive spent under 250 dollars upgrading my gaming PC (because thats exactly what i use a desktop for ive got a labtop for work) and I'll be fine for at least 2 more years. Live and learn
Oh and that whole "desktop gamers are trolls hidden away in the dark and labtop are social people" thats bs why are you out with people but not being part of whatevers going on. I hate people that come over but sit there the whole time playing on their labtops or phones. Your worse then the trolls hiding in their rooms.

Really? There are also some players (not a huge amount probably) who, although they have SM3.0 compliant cards cannot use Premium due to issues with blue.dll (and possibly trinity.dll)who are able to use Classic fine and maybe a tad worried they will not be able to play at all after the March patch. -------------------------------------------------- 'people will always be tempted to wipe their feet on anything with 'welcome' written on it.' |

Taylor and everyone else who are posting here, please revert from your Biased, steriotypical comments and instead why not help the laptop community here. If i did not get out into real life and know whats going on, would i be talking about my finances? The bad economy? Or really even any of the other references ive used. I know my fair share about computers, but i choose to do other things than constantly study them.
I fail to understand why it is that you are calling me the whiner or complainer when instead of seeing the bright side of my post, (the side that only wants to curve the future for everyone)You want to sit there and say its my fault, even though it is, that i purchased a laptop and its my fault that i can not run the client in a year. There is no point in posting negative comments on other people and there opinions and weather or not they choose to want to play on the go or not. None of this is the point, instead why not help the laptop community stop posting rants and flames (ide like to point out that was not what my post was aiming for) by supporting them. |

Everything that can be said, has been said. If that isn't good enough for, then all that is left is flaming.
You don't want to make everything happy and nice for everyone. You don't want to help anyone. You just want everyone to agree with you and support you. Stop pretending otherwise. You and Rufus are doing more damage for the image of those hurt by these changes then any amount of forum trolls could possibly do, with your refusal to actually listen to any valid arguements that get brought up.
I would also like to point out that I am a member of this 'laptop community'. I see no problem with CCP's decision. |

Do you have proof everything was and or is being said? Another thing that stuns me about your post is that you have no problem with there decision. You wouldnt be implying that have a laptop like those that are worth somewhere between 3-6 thousand dollars are you? If not then what that says to me is that you are not infact in my position nor others. Your stereotyping me to be the person that is lying through my keystrokes about my arguement on the matter and what i'm trying to do.
Like I said lets revert from all of this and find an innovative soulution. My main personal reason is because I've put in money into this game just recently, only for it to be wasted in collection because i can't afford a newer computer.
To me, to others, and maybe even yourself now see that as a problem if you are infact a part of the "laptop community" |

Originally by: Mrs MaltaProject Taylor and everyone else who are posting here, please revert from your Biased, steriotypical comments and instead why not help the laptop community here.
I own a labtop and it wont be running these new clients but that doesnt hurt me since all I used it for was when I was on the road to switch skills and play solitare. I knew when I bought it sevral years ago that its shelf life was short for playing the new games but then again when im out and about im not playing games im being social. You know interacting with the world around me, not nose deep in a screen. Like Ive said if you game on a labtop it better be a high end or learn to deal with the short life span they have. I am sorry for you that I used that soft squishy grey mass of tissue between my ears and game on a desktop that I can upgrade very cheaply every year or two to stay with the curve. I want to see this change go thru. Its good for the game. Actualy its FREAKING GREAT FOR THE GAME. They no longer need to compare between a out of date pos client and a new pos client. All that did was slow them down and make things harder to get thru the pipeline. Ill repeat how it is not CCP's fault you choose to game on a labtop. Its not my fault that you somehow think owning a labtop makes you a better person then people with a desktop gaming computer. (which is proven about how you think we are biased and basement dwellers who never leave the house, whose the biased one here?) You should accept that when dealing with technology in any form you need to keep up or get left behind. This change is good for the game and thats what matters at the bottom line.
EDIT: The solution to this is let it go thru. Thats the solution. You have like a year till this change happens. It would be no problem at all putting away 10-20 dollars a week and building a desktop by the fall that would be upgradeable and let you keep up and play what you want.
But I forget desktop gamers are trolls that never see the sun and weigh 700 pounds. They are also anti social and not as special as labtop owners. |

In fact much has been said by the desktop community and much of it is wrong from a business sense. Most of the arguments are based around technology suitable for a FPS, which this is not. If you actually do a little research you will notice (amazingly) that the maximum required stats for many MMOs (including the most successful ones) are at most shader 2.0.
This includes a number of MMOs, such as Vanguard (which is not successful, but is pretty) as an example, that have a graphics rich environment that makes EVE look dull and boring.
So, go figure. |

you do realise desktops are far cheaper in relation to quality then laptops are?
you can build your own PC which will run EVE premium full graphics for ú300(maybe ú500 prebuilt? i dunno i build mine) and the same specced laptop, or of similar spec, would net you ú1000.
Get it? CCP arn't gonna hang around for people who can only support the graphics which are the best part of a decade out of date? If you want to be guaranteed to play games, go play consoles, cos you should of learnt a long time ago that trying to play the most up-to-date games will require more money on PC. |

Lawl, what?
Most laptops have upgradable CPUs, all laptops have upgradable hard drives, and the vast majority of laptops with discrete graphics nowadays are upgradable (as long as they're MXM). EDIT: All nVidia cards of the series 6 and above are Shader Model 3 equipped, and I'm pretty sure the two most recent integrated graphics sets Intel put out are Shader Model 3 equipped as well.
But really, I was able to play EVE on the Premium client with everything else turned down as low as possible on my 4 year old HP with integrated graphics. And honestly, if you don't have a Shader Model 3 equipped computer, you need to upgrade for other reasons. |

That's just plain wrong. There are two types of graphics in laptops (and desktops, for that matter): discrete and integrated. Yeah, all integrated graphics cards are built into the motherboard, but that type of graphics card is usually found in lower end computers. On the other hand, discrete graphics cards are not built into the motherboard and can be upgraded to another card in the same MXM class as long as it doesn't take more power than the laptop can give it and as long as it doesn't overpower the cooling system of the laptop.
Oh, and *realize. |

There has been helpful replies in all threads I've read on this subject for the laptop community. I have been nice enough to read through every post in your thread to see if you took note of anything that is useful to you, however i can remember no recognition to something that can help you from your side. With that said, please take a look at these two threads:
SM2 vs SM3
Oh noes! what do we do? (When is the time to upgrade your computer?)
If you happen to have seen those threads and not bothered to read through them and make a reply then i suggest you read through them... AND make a reply. I could give you links to the posts with helpful material in it but that would make you miss the context of them. I don't have a problem with the SM3 deal but that doesn't mean i understand the situation and am ready to read a whole bunch of boring threads to help those who need it. In my opinion, for anyone to accept help they have to accept they have a problem and come to terms with the facts.
So what facts are there really? There is a huge problem with facts to begin with, on one end, it's a fact that CCP will stop supporting SM2 in 10 months. But on the other end, they could change their mind, no matter how unlikely that is to me. So what is left in that fact then if it's not solid? That is for you to decide! But should EvE move on to SM3 and you decided not to upgrade then there is nothing left for you to do is there? Let's fast forward to December 2009, you have the same laptop as before, here's some options:
- Keep the laptop, buy a new PC (preferably stationary) and play eve on that.
- Sell the old laptop, buy a new PC (preferably stationary) for the money you made off the old.
- Keep the laptop, stop playing eve and play whatever game there is that still support SM2.
- Use software that can "hack"/simulate SM3 compatibility and suffer from the performance impact and potential crashes.
I can't recall when you bought your laptop and i can't recall what laptop that is. But here are some of my thoughts on it:
Situation 1 - Your laptop is a midrange to budget model from 2007 that you bought in 2007.
- You didn't do your research. [Do your research!]
- You did your research. [You knew this would happen!]
- The dealer said it would last for years. [Never trust a dealer!]
- It had a low price tag. [The more you pay for, the more you can use it for!]
- It was expensive. [Do your research!]
- The dealer said it was a budget PC and not for games. [You had your luxury!]
Situation 2 - Your laptop was a top of the line model in 2007, but you bought it recently.
- You expected it to be good because it was top of the line 1 year ago. [WRONG! Do your research!]
- You knew you could at lest play eve on it. [Nothing lasts forever, do your research!]
- The dealer said it was a nice deal. [So what? Don't ever trust them!]
- You bought it because it was cheap. [The more you pay for, the more you can use it for!]
- It was expensive. [... (stupid) Do your research!]
I am going to start writing a guide on what to think about when buying a computer next...
But there you have it. All the options i know of and all the help you hopefully need. Enjoy!

Well, you can almost always upgrade every part of a desktop, that's a non-issue. But if you have a laptop that is not Shader Model 3 equipped and is not upgradable, for example, an older laptop with integrated graphics, it's probably time to upgrade anyway, for other reasons not related to EVE.

You are not even vaguely qualified.
There have been a couple of helpful posts (possible software hack for SM3.0 for those that can do it) and Bish with his laptop links the reality is most of the desktop comments are: 1) Change your lifestyle, how dare you play games with a laptop. They are not meant for that. 2) Its only $650-$750 for a new laptop, what do you mean you can't afford it. Go and get a job and stop whining. 3) My opinions are more important than yours because I already have a SM3.0 capable PC.
The reality is that if EVE heads down the SM3.0 route it is heading off down a lonely path for MMOs that have been around for 2 years or more. All of them have SM2.0 support.
But, of course, CCP and the graphics nerds are right .... a rich sandbox game where none of the gameplay requires ultra fancy graphics really needs to force people to upgrade to SM3.0. It will so add to the gaming experience NOT.
Fancy graphics are nice for a day or two until you are smart enough to realize they add exactly nothing to the long term enjoyment of the game.
Cheers, Ruf.

i realise that it's not within everyone's reach to just upgrade-upgrade-upgrade all the time, but - however harsh this truth may be to hear - laptop's are NOT easily upgradeable and often make bad-choices for gaming machines.
EVE has been around for nearly 6 years now and it's inevitable that we will ALL have had to upgrade our hardware - whether it's purely for EVE or not is another discussion - during that period in order to keep playing. Whilst i would hate for players to leave over this, anyone expecting one machine to carry them through EVE's whole existence is going to be sorely disappointed. I realise you got your laptop more recently and you're not trying to use a 2003 machine to play, but the reality is that EVE is going to keep evolving to survive, and we're going to have to evolve (our PC hardware) to keep up.

Then what in the world are you still doing here? If you don't know how to make the "software hack" work then wouldn't it lie in your interest to figure that out?

First of all, why do you put people in separate groups in the first place? I don't care if you are using a laptop or a desktop to play games. However, i strongly advice against buying a laptop to play games with. I do that because i am trying to HELP others, if i didn't care about it i wouldn't spend time trying to.
Answer to #1 It doesn't really apply to me, as i have never said "how dare you play games with a laptop". But i have said that laptops in general aren't meant for games. There are however laptops made for playing games. But when buying one you have to understand that it will be hard to keep it up to date with new games.
Answer to #2 Once again, I've never said that to anyone in particular on these forums. And as far as i know there are laptops with SM3.0 capable cards for less than $300 off the shelve, but i wouldn't advice you to buy one off the shelve as you can find a used one for $100 if you look around.
Answer to #3 Still doesn't apply to me because in no way have I ever said or implied that my opinion is worth more than anybody else on these forums. The only thing that applies is that, yes, I do have 2 desktop PC's with SM3.0 capable hardware. But that doesn't exclude me from helping others, in any way i can. You on the other hand have constantly attempted to show your superiority to the rest of us by saying such things. You have also lied to us on several occasions, be it on purpose or unknowingly just to provide a solid argument. The most recent example is where you said you are financially unable to save to get a new laptop and later used your ability to play eve for free during a period of 4 years to come. That is after all $17 saved every month for ten months.

I am amazed to how you actually got this one right! But you forget to take into account what differentiate eve from those games. To begin with, CCP have maintained 2 clients for windows. That is previously UNHEARD of. Secondly, the premium client never supported SM2.0 and it would be complicated to make it able to do that. CCP are dropping one client because that saves them money and time. Time they can put into making sure EvE lives on for another 6 years!

If gameplay is so important to you and graphics unessential then you would be fine with it if EvE looked like THIS? If you ask me, i would stop --------------- Opinions? Yes they belong to me, not my corp! |

You estimation is stupid. Let me make an estimation myself, based in part on reality and not some unrelated figures.
CCP has to support two graphics clients. That takes manpower. Let's say, two full-time artists and two full-time testers. Assuming a cost for the company around 5kEUR per head per month (including taxes, office costs, etc.) that's 20kEUR/month. An account gives them 10EUR per month. From this we conclude that less than 2000 accounts use crap laptopts that don't support modern graphics. And those laptops are **** enough that the only thing you can do is switch skills anyway. That is more of a problem with the laptop than with EvE. Update drivers much???
Updated drivers on both; 1 is a dell and the other is an acer but both are Core 2 duo chipsets hence the same integrated. I personally don't use them but family members do and when my last laptop conked out(Radeon X1100, simply the best integrated), I upgraded to a capable desktop. I'm just saying that this is the general laptop integrated for Intel chipsets and it's naff tbh.
But still, I guess being sarcastic is fun eh?
Edit: Managed to add "But still" to the end twice. |

A. Not everyone can afford too update their computers at a whim. B. Alot more players then people realize play Eve on their laptops love it or hate it. C. Changing too SM3 in one year would alientate too many players too quickly since theirs alot of sytems out their that run SM2 and not SM3 at the moment. D. SM1 is almost a decade old technolgy and should be phased out. E. SM2 is almost outdated technolgy but not just yet since most Desktops use SM3 or can be updated, many laptops even brand new ones use SM2 technolgy. It would be a mistake too make Eve a Desktop only game.
My conclusion: SM2 needs too be phased out but not in one year from now, maybe in 2 years. |

A lot of college students are probably going to get hit by this. A lot of people I know in college use laptops to take notes and don't necessarily have the space or inclination to have two computers so that they can have a desktop as well.
Also, I have no personal experience but wouldn't this really hurt people in the military as well? Lugging a desktop from deployment to deployment doesn't sound like fun.
All this cursing people who don't upgrade for being lazy bums is really funny though. People do have other things to pay for besides shiny new computers. Especially nowadays when the economy is in the tank a lot of people aren't even sure they'll have jobs in a few months. Can you really expect them to shell out any amount of cash for a computer upgrade when they might lose their house?
I understand that the game has to move forward, and that CCP is in this to make profit and will do what it must to insure that it does so. If discontinuing classic helps them do that then that's what they will do and they won't get any complaints from me.
What bugs me is people who get all superior and self righteous when it comes to their hardware or other people's lack thereof. |

So you just bought a brand new laptop with just an ATI X1250 graphics card?...And you intended to play at least one game on it? I'm sorry bro but I wouldn't even recommend that for Doom 3. Currently there are laptops with 9600M's on them for around $800~$1000.(Also if you intend to game on this laptop, don't think about spending a penny less otherwise you simply won't game well). More product research could have landed you a better laptop.

You've had 6 years to upgrade your laptop/pc QQ more. Get a job. Start putting away 50nucks a month or so, drink one beer less per day) and by next winter you'll have enough to buy a new machine.
Also, laptop to game on? and you complain you can't upgrade? If you actually look into gaming and laptops, then you should know a decent gaming laptop costs anywhere between 1k for a ****ty one and 3-5k for a 'perfect' one. A desktop will still own them too.

... stuff, assumptions and deciding people are lying ...
Let's get one thing straight, you are right I am not trying to help people move to SM3.0. I think it is bad for CCP to force this on people who wish to continue playing the game.
I think your position that CCP are right to force people to jump a technology generation with less than 12 months warning is plain wrong. This is my problem with your viewpoint.
Being a software architect, etc for a few years means I can figure out what I need to do to implement the hack. What it does to my PCs performance is another story which I would need to figure out. Whether I can do it or not, though is irrelevant. I still think you are wrong.
There has been plenty of go buy a desktop, etc and that was not directly aimed at you.
As to finances, $14.99 per month for 10 months gives me a total of $149.99 to buy something with. I took a quick look on e-bay and tbh, in the whole of the US, there were a whole 122 laptops with 15 inch screens and 2 GB of memory came up between $100-200. A good portion of that list was irrelevant. So, is it possible? I guess. Though the first couple I looked at were not suitable, so maybe not.
Personally I tend not to buy used equipment from people I do not know or where I can not personally inspect it. Especially where you do not know how the equipment has been treated.
I think Bish's estimates were sensible and reasonable. From the research I have done, to get a laptop that I will not have to change in a year and can use for more than playing EVE I believe $600 or $700 is more accurate by the time you add in tax and shipping, etc.
When I can afford it I will buy something new, but I have a problem with CCP swinging this on us with such short notice, and thus being asked to effectively stump up 3-4 years of subscriptions to keep playing the game.
But, as you have made clear your only goal is to help people see the error of their ways and move to new technology, right? If this is true they should not be buying anything less than a laptop with graphics capable of running SM4 right now, not an SM3 one, should they not? Probably make sure they have at least 3G of dedicated memory - not shared with the GFX card, yes? After all we have the new Windows coming out which is bound to use more memory.
But then that would break your price limit I guess.
Let's face it you and I will never agree on this. We have a fundamental disagreement. C'est la vie. |

I hope they will also discontinue having two sets of ship models, or at least figure out how to fix the center-of-ship axis for the "premium" models.
"Premium" should be the default. If something can't work with both Premium and Premium Light or Premium Extra Crappy, then make it work in Premium. |

CCP bringing this with such short notice? Nearly a year heads-up that they might cease to support something?? What do you people need, an advanced notice of a decade?! It's a videogame; not a notice that your OS is EOSL'd. |
