...author calls upon PIE to clean up the area plauged by pirates...
-Newsflash- Ø We are receiving confirmed reports that a Stain Interceptor targetted an innocent civilian passing through the Kheram solar system. While only a sketchy account is available the following details have been learnt:
Unfortunetly for the attacker, he wasnt banking on the the Sentry guns not to aid him at ganking civilians. While their numbers are numerous, their skills at gateganking are somewhat insufficient. The civlian was hastily quoted after the event, "I just dont understand it, this place was so friendly before, corps like LEGION were very polite and just let me be after a quick chat, why are these people trying to kill me? Did I do something wrong? I hope PIE rid this area of the troublesome pirates as soon as possible."Ø
Locals were further bemused by this turn of events after the activity of the previosu few days, and hope that the area will be restored to its usual quiet self. After this incredible occurence Croen decided the job wasnt quite finished and he also lost his interceptor to the magnificent sentry guns. I would like to compliment Concord and other related authorities on the recent improvements to the sentry guns, which are a valuable piece of system security.
MASS later demonstrated their naivety when an Apocalypse battleship (piloted by MASS CEO Trigger) was nearly destroyed by sentry gun activity. Travelers wishing safe passage through the domain area are advised to steer clear of the Mista stargate in Kheram due to the incessant gate ganking by MASS ships, then again i suppose that is the pilots perogative.
Stay tuned...MASS losses are currently totalled as 2 Interceptors and Cybereavers Rifter.
These Combat reports were obtained via Concord officials who, for understandable reasons, wish to remain nameless.

Edited by: MadGaz on 27/07/2004 21:03:00 Our Photographer risked his life to take this picture. Linky Study the image closely, you'll notice the amount of gankers they have, a perfect setup to gank innocent civilians, unforunetly, they wasnt expecting one civilian to fight back! (kudos to him) and scramble the pirate (Trigger). ------------------------------------------

Breaking News: One of our innocent haulers, who is also a new player. Ignored warnings and continued to a gate in his hauler, only to be set upon by a pirate Kestrel. I managed to warp in the nick of time and save him, only to have him warp to the gate a few mins later (he left autopilot on) and get ganked by their bs fleet. Current war stats are: Legion : 2 MASS : 1 Sentrys : 2 (kudos)

Legion members are confused at the recent accusations. While they themselfes was trying to protect the area against a larger fleet, they witnessed the MASS "pirating" the area, innocently attacking passerby's. Some people call us terrorists, some people call us pirates. While we've done nothing but try to help the innocent in this case. ------------------------------------------

We recently sent a new pilot in a shuttle and in a noob corp to visit Misaba - just to see how well behaved you Soul Cartel chappies are.
He was ganked 5 mins after entering the system by Legion and Short Bus Stop pilots (Soul Cartel) despite posing no discernible threat. This comes on top of many other reports of Soul Cartel pilots murdering anything that goes their way..
If I was forced to make a choice between who the pirates are - Stain or Soul Cartel - it would be Soul Cartel everytime...

Edited by: FileCop AI on 28/07/2004 12:13:37 haha, was a fun evening. Had a few unfortunate sentry actions with our frigs - stuff happens. And the apoc was of course no where near destroyed ;)
Btw, thanks for the free loot from the indy. More than enough to cover all losses for the night ;)
Oh, and not that I want to discuss it with anyone - but all fired upon was naturally soul cartel - who everyone in eve knows are pirates :)
Now, for next time.. Please undock when we come to say hello legi0n ;)

I was undocked, flying around quite easily, who was that suicidal Rifter pilot btw? who thought just because your fleet was there I couldnt kill him 110km away from the fleet.
As for the indy, he was only moving loot, around 7mill worth of stuff I got told, which wont make up for the loss of a ceptor. But yea, good fun so far.

Well we're having a hard time with Stain alts entering the system in noob corps, so you cant expect us to tell the difference between your and their alts. What was his name btw? maybe I can check it up if its true. ------------------------------------------

So you admit to indescriminately attacking pilots in npc corporations purely on the basis that they might be alts working for your enemies?

Misaba is Empire space.
As a citizen of the Amarrian Empire, and as a subject of Emperor Doriam II, I shall travel where I wish within Amarrian space.
I will also leave the Empire when neccessary to neutralise miscreants who disrupt it's activities.
Only when the Empire is free of pirates and terrorists will I "go back to playing with my slaves".

Oh now how very ironic. PIE leaping to the defence of their buddies in SA for actions very similar to those Oracle defended CA over, whilst Oracle was in CA.
Difference was, Oracle was defending piracy, wasn't it?
You told me once, Hardin, that it's very hard to maintain one's convictions and honour once you become involved with an outer regional alliance. How right you were.

You'll note that the allegations against the SA corps who have moved into Domain space to rid it of the Soul Cartel, are made by Soul Cartel members.
PIE have declared this Soul Cartel a pirate organisation, and we've plenty of incidents to fall back on to validate our declaration.
Pirates trying to denounce their hunters is nothing new, and is a ruse easily seen through. In this case, it was outright moronic.
I'd not think you this easily fooled, Makkar. ----------------------------------------------

Indeed Makkar - regional politics are mucky. However if you read carefully you will not see any defence of the Stain action here.
Indeed as we were not there to witness them ourselves we have no idea whether these 'alleged' actions even took place.
What I did do was point out that the author of this posts corporation - Legion - has taken part in piratical actions for which we have definite proof.
I am therefore more minded to believe Stain than the Soul Cartel.
If Stain did indeed undertake piratical actions then I wholeheartedly condemn them - my 'belief' is that they did not! But I could be wrong. I am not infallible Makkar
What I will say is that PIE as part of its duties to protect Amarrian space from terrorists AND pirates will continue to mount patrols into the area.
Gemodi, Mamet and Misaba are all Amarrian Empire systems and all pilots should be able to traverse them unhindered by pirates of whatever colour.
PIE is merely one corporation and the pirates and terrorists are numerous so we cannot do everything at once. But at least we make the effort - unlike those who have allowed pirates to linger unhindered in Bosena for months!

Hardin, don't for a moment think I disapprove... PIE's free to ally with pirates if it wishes. It just amuses me that PIE's noble, honourable faþade is a somewhat thin veneer after all when presented with the riches of 0.0 space. You're seeing things from a side of the fence we were on a number of months ago. Defend your buddies no matter what, because that's your source of high ends and named modules. Attack your buddy's enemies on the forums... It's all very familiar.
It's a downward spiral away from all of your ideals. Break away now, while you still can, lest you become yet another soulless "l33tboy" ganker corp.

As has been repeatedly said on these forums, PIE will take action where possible against all pirate corporations active in Amarrian space.
I have seen no evidence that MASS are engaged in piracy in the Misaba area, however.
And if you want to help rid the galaxy of pirates, perhaps you should consider doing something about the criminals that have been infesting Minmatar space for several months without serious opposition.

Interesting.
A known piratical entity accuses a corporation not known for piratical activities within Empire space (letting it slide what they do in 0.0) of shooting down it's "innocent" ships.
PIE knows the piratical entity quite well after numerous encounters and reports and informs them that their little bluff as being innocent miners is perfectly known to be a ruse.
Minmatars in their infinite lack of wisdom now accuse PIE of defending piratical actions of the SA corporation, which incidentally is also a supporter of the Amarr Empire.
How calling the pirates bluff equates to PIE giving SA full backing is beyond me to see in these words.
I suggest Makkar also stops with his bluff.

PIE and SA may view Soul Cartel anyway they wish.. doesn't change the facts.
The facts being: Many of the members of the Soul Cartel have been living out in that area for over 6 months.. some have been there nearly a year. Sure, some corps changed names, members, and even philosophies...but they've never left the area.
Soul Cartel is "officially" formed.. and begins regulating traffic throughout the area. Several SA corps resent it.. and tensions increase. The matter is later resolved.. only to rise again. We're simply defending our home.. nothing more, nothing less.
We've staked our claim, if the Emperor has a problem with it, he can send a delegate to speak to the CEOs of the Soul Cartel.

I'm not accusing PIE of allying with pirates, Rodj. Far from it. I know you guys have a staunch anti-pirate stance in empire space. What I'm delivering is perhaps a warning - Be careful not to get too drawn in. Oracle fell foul of that trap, and lost many fine members to soulless 0.0 corps before realising it's mistake.
Don't follow in our footsteps. If CA firing on neutrals in CA space on the reasoning that they could be enemy alts can be seen as piracy, then SA's firing on neutrals for the same reason can also be seen the same way. The fact that PIE has declared a corp pirates;

Makkar - you obviously do not know the area very well...
It is not 0.0
Gemodi - is a mere 4 jumps from Amarr prime, Mamet and Misaba just a few further...
EDIT: Also I do not see where we have defended our 'buddies' actions? If SA was pirating then I condemn it. I see no evidence from anyone other than a pirate that they have. PIE made its own decision regarding Soul Cartel several weeks ago - long before we even knew SA were engaged against the same pirates...

Edited by: Mitchello on 29/07/2004 02:56:54 PIE and the SA are the most notable anti-pirate factions in our universe. PIE has the admiration of many Caldari anti-pirate factions who have since modeled them selves after the amazingly successful PIE and their allies.
the SA has been destroying pirates since the beginning. these things can not be honestly challenged. those who seek to discredit these two factions obviously have their own agenda.
We all understand surprises, and indeed we are all pleasantly surprised by the SA's actions at pulling away from the CA war a bit and cleaning up space again. Perhaps this is due to the CA's aggressive stance on hunting the vile pirate factions plaguing the borders of caldari space. perhaps this is true, perhaps not. but no longer can we look to Celestial Apoc(who stands idle while pirates breed in vast numbers just outside of Caldari space) and Eve Marshals for this type of vigilantly justice, we instead must turn our eyes to PIE and the SA.
Well done, well done indeed.

Yes Legion lost 2 blackbirds yesterday, aswell as a Caracal, and 2 rifters I believe. Mass lost an Apoc to sentry guns, after it attacked a traveller, I believe his name was Exodus. One Soul Cartel member lost his battleship also. ------------------------------------------

well I do know that two ravens were taken out and that apoc loss was because of a mistake by the pilot
but regardless, does your claim that MASS is pirating still hold grounds?

SC lost 1 Raven, mainly because his controls jammed and he couldnt warp out until it was too late.
As for the pirates, how many ships have you lost to sentry guns? ------------------------------------------

Makkar,
Though your personal opinion as a terrorist criminal means little to me I will reply to your question. Nothing has changed with PIE. We are dedicated to anti-piracy and defending the Empire against the menace of terrorism.
What has changed is Oracle returning from CA where it admits it was lured into messy regional politics. I commend them for leaving the pirate alliance and am happy to see them return to the RP community.
But now we have baseless accusations that border on the type of tabloid trash I'd see in periodicals in the Gallante pleasure hubs. Stories of PIE piracy completely unfounded. Stories of PIE bribery completely without merit. Stories of PIE complicity with pirates again completely unfounded. All one must do is look at the sources for these rumors to see the real motive is a unjustified slander campaign and nothing more. Disreputable people who would lie, cheat, steal and kill to further thier position. People without the moral soul to stand for a great cause.
You have pushed these issues in the news community and when they have been proven false you have been left without a leg to stand on. I've yet to see anything bordering on proof of anything merely the claims of barbarians.
I'd suggest we get back to the business of killing one another and leave the tabloid lies to the masses. The time for lies is over. The lie of terrorism is all that is left to destroy. It will be destroyed very soon.

Two ravens were taken out, I scrambled both of them and saw them both go down. The reason we are there is because we have a war with your corp and only attack other corps if they choose to aid you in attacking us. Sometimes though accidents have happened when the autotargeter has targeted a ship we are not at war with and then accidentaly fired upon. That has now been solved.
If you still want to accuse us of piracy then plase have a talk with the bestower and iteron pilots who went past us yesterday and the frigate pilots who flew in to check out our fleet.

On behalf of MASS I would like an apology for accusing us of being pirates.

For those in doubt of the hauler kill, you can easily identify it as a Stain hauler by the large amounts of 1600mm armour, overdrives, and warp core stabilisers (which I found in the can) ------------------------------------------
