I recently discovered a unique quirk in PC logic. It is now racially derrogetory to call someone 'Jewish', 'Mexican', or 'Black'. Even if they are those things. Why?I recently said "I am a supporter of the Jews in Isreal" and a couple peopel exploded, i remember one person saying "Im sick and tired of these anti-semites, jew this, jew that, im sick of it!"
Im just scared now, what else is not PC?!

Political correctness gone mad again, you can't refer to someone's race, culture, lifestyle, hairstyle because someone may interpret as an insult. Tbh its gonna lead to more problems than it solves because ppl will get set in certain opinions then never talk about them or learn wether their incorrect because everyone will be afraid to talk about them because of been politically correct. Communication is the only way to solve the ills of the world heck as a species its the only reason we've managed to go from Ughh me kill mammoth to woah we're walking on the moon.

Here you get called an anti semite as soon as you utter a word of compassion for the people in Gaza.

I work with black people in the general population and I call them black. They at least do not express any outward insult for it.
For an example of something I may say on a regular day, "Since your are black you currently have an increased risk of CV disease."
If I was politically correct this is what I would have to say, "Since the dominant traits you express are of African origin you currently have an increased risk of CV disease."
I hope they appreciate my tendency to be very blunt.

Generally when trolling, one posts things they expect the majority of the community to disagree with. This individual, the OP, appears to have done the opposite.
When you work a lot with people from minorities, you quickly find it's not something you can not ignore. In before Ralara. |

Forget the name but there is this book I read once, basically words like"black"and"white"became so bad when said that it was a punishable offense.... They replaced such words with"night"and"day".
Personally I am getting tired of it aswell, I mean im part jewish and I can sit through racist jokes of my race and laugh, I dont know why so many people feel the need to be so thin skinned. |

Coming from Jewish blood myself I'll happily tell people I have a big nose, and pick pennies off the ground sometimes.
Maybe it's not they're too sensitive, it's that they are to stupid to realise that PC doesn't = all words are bad. It's the context that matters and most people can't actually 'think' beyond what is spoon fed to them. All you said was that you support a people in thier country. It's like saying you support the Buddists in China.
Meh anyways, I support the Amarrians in Athe Empire and the Caldari in the State. See how easy that was to NOT misinterpret. Go EVE for education. |

im glad everyone here knows what im talking about. it really bothers me for some reason. All I know is, if someone ever calls me raciest, I have a type of parachute ripcord: my girlfriend is black. Haha, I win again!
BTW, anyone else get a little angry when someone is called 'african-american'? Two things wrong, first, they've likely arent from africa, they were born right here in america. Second, not all black's parents came from afrrica, my girlfriend is jamaican. just food for thought. |

Ignore the Politically Correct fascists.
You need to refer to people/groups. You need to use language. If it is relevant to the topic at hand that someone is Blue or Green then say so. Context is everything and most people of whatever origin/background/belief do not object to being referred to as such. It is what you have to say about that group that will matter to them. Not that you referred to that group by their common name. Obviously some words are pejorative but we should all know what those are by now and easily avoid them.
If someone gets bent out of shape over it tell them to stuff it and get on with life. It is their problem, not yours. In fact you can have a field day making fun of such people to their faces for their idiocy if you are of a mind to (can be great fun).

This. People need to grow up and realize that we can't all be nice to each other. Political correctness is killing us (the US in particular, dunno about other countries), and I find that being PC is more of a hindrance than a help.
P.S. I think this is like the first time I have agreed with above poster xD

Do what I do. Don't speak directly of people.
Afterall, I dont give a **** if your black, white, purple, christian, muslim, jew or ****. Your a human being that lives on this planet, all the other garbage as to your faith or race doesn't matter. It isn't possible to make any sort of judgement based on that so its of no concern.
If someone mentions that they are one of those things, I ask why that matters depending on the context of the discussion.
Moral of the story: Who cares if someone is whatever they are. It's easier to call someone by name or use a safe term like This guy or girl I know.
