Currently...the skill req's for the new ships do not need L5 cruiser...
Battlecruiser: L5 Engineering, L3 Spaceship Command, L3 Escorts (to be released)
Destroyer: L5 Evasive Maneuevering, L3 Spaceship Command, L3 Interceptors
But, this may change.
Also the lack of any level of ANY frigate/cruiser/battleship piloting skill is fishy.

ccp should have contests for people to make the best models from the community. I could probably do a better job than that, and that way it could be free.

I don't think that they resigned from assymetrical design but it's surely modified from the previous style, those new ships are way to simillar in % of assymetry to megathron. They have added only assymetrical accents - except for this ship:

But still returning to the topic this Caldari ship looks like 3/4 finished, cos simple shaped doesn't mean extremely low poly....

Caldari Destroyer has absolutely no sense of scale. Look at the Amarr/Gallente Battlecruisers/Destroyers- they look their size. Caldari one looks like a Garbage hauling truck with the scale look of a frigate..

There's nothing wrong with the caldari ship, it's basically a megathron in new cloathes, what it could use is a realigning of the sensor arrays at the front, having them stick out the sides of the ship instead, that would look so much better.
