I was just about to say that it would be depressing if such advanced civilizations were so primitive as to consider sexual preferences a matter of concern.
Then again, the Amarr and Minmatar can be rather primitive. I suspect the former have kinks even the Gallente haven't imagined. |

I'm sure they all feel the same toward all the jackasses who throw out homophobic slurs and insults every five seconds in every online game. Also, I don't think it's an "idea" so much as an orientation. Go be a homophobe in a corner somewhere.
Wow, looks like a struck a nerve, have you told your parents yet about ur lifestyle lol. I don't have parades and tell ppl about my sexual orientation so the gays shouldn't do it either so this is my response to ppl who speak about their ideas/sexual orientaion, " I don't care so shut up and get a job"

Yes, you struck the nerve of me not being someone who sits idly by, silently tolerating the ignorant bull**** of ****wads who can't keep their ****ing mouths shut. You're the one compensating for latent tendencies by going out of your way to make your way to say crap about other people (presumably fellow players). I don't care about their orientation and neither should you. It's ridicule people for "bringing their lifestyle into the game" when YOU are the type of person who brings their lifestyle into the game every time you hurl insults like a ****ing prepubescent turd.
In short, grow the **** up and have a little respect for people. Not everyone is a cow-****ing redneck farmer like yourself and in a game as global and inclusive as EVE, it might do well to remember there are a great variety of people out there that might not fall into your own little narrow mindset.
Frankly, this whole thread is pathetic. I really didn't know this much ignorance and homophobia existed in EVE. I guess it just sits quietly below the radar, waiting for an invitation to pop out.

Not that I have a problem with homosexuality in general but the whole parade thing doesn't do you guys any favors. So I agree with this quote. |

In the late 50s and 1960s, in the USA, if you were white you'd probably wonder why black people had parades. Just a thought.

Is the OP asking for a gay race? Wouldn't the race die off pretty quickly if everyone in it was gay...
Seriously. If you want to RP as a gay guy/girl, go ahead, but since when does any of that ever come into play in character creation? Gays are not a race, I've yet to meet someone who's half gay half...I dunno english. |

Fail. Being black then and being gay now are not even on the same level. When gay people are being forced to sit at the back of buses or not allowed to use straight bathrooms or other crap black people had to deal with then you can use that excuse. |

just putting it out there if a gay race in introduced into this game then i will form a corp with the sole aim of harassing, griefing and war-deccing corps with all or a significant percentage of gay race players.
the fact that you want to bring wether you **** a guy up the ass or not into the game disgusts me.
i go by a live and let live policy but its this form of forced "accept homo's or you aren't pc enough" that i reject.

Do I look gay?
Does it matter? Would it make a difference if I like to suck rather then lick? If I was gay would I fight you by continually bumping my thorax or phobos into your ships? What if I was a lesbian? Would that make a difference? Is that somehow threatening to you?
Just how threatened are you? Signatures are annoying...kinda like me. |

How did blacks protest? By doing things they weren't expected to be seen doing, like sitting in the front of buses or marching in the streets, something considered threatening and a big no no. What do people expect the GLBT community to do? They expect them to be quiet, dress nicely and be just like everyone else, and for many this is their way of protesting. And if you want to make a more apt comparison you should be comparing militant black superiority group marches to that. I'm not saying that they are militant, but they are a very small percentage.
As the saying goes "We're here, we're ***** get used to it". A closer parade would be the 'race pride tour', like the Puerto Rican day parade it's an extreme showing of what the group identifies with, Puerto Rican flags and Red, White & Blue colors for them and outrageous outfits meant to push the boundaries for them. It's a way of saying "We will not be ignored and we are proud of who we are". |

Sure I agree but then again I don't associate with the great unwashed masses so my opinion is moot. Fact is the average person regardless of country is not going to see anything positive in a bunch of gay men getting estrogen injections to grow boobs and/or painting themselves like some deviant clown. I would imagine that the majority of gay men would agree as all the ones I ever knew wished those type of exotic 'pride' parades would just go away.

Fail. You have no idea what prejudices people have to deal with. Your post indicates your lack of research. Please look further into transgender issues concerning restrooms and employment and tell me it's not similar to blacks. Please research the topic rather than being stupid wannabe internet jock #1454584559. You play Eve, there is a good chance you are pretending you weren't an awkward kid who had his own questions about his sexuality. Deny all you want. This is all fine and good but when you start telling people who don't give a **** they're bad people for not caring when its them who keep shoving this in their faces, after they've said they don't care (that means they don't hate you), then its time to step back and realize you're acting just like those that you feel are persecuting you. |

This is exactly what I am talking about in my previous post. You are confusing me not giving a **** for hate. This isn't the case and I don't expect you to understand. You suggest you are intelligent but if you really where you wouldn't say I'm hating on homosexuals.
If that still doesn't make sense to you let me put it into simpler terms. I don't care doesn't mean I hate you because of X Y or Z. It means I don't care, now lets change the subject. |
