Falcons....evil invincible jamming machines? or just merely misunderstood....who cares
The fact is some people dont like falcons and they want to blame falcons for their hatred of falcons....well really its your own fault...
you see back in the day if a falcon uncloaked then chances were a vaga or a crow would zoom towards it at 6km/sec+ and either scare it off or get lucky and kill it...
unfortunetly 2bil+ vagabond setups were deemed "unfair" by fw pilots (who flew drakes in pvp...nuff said)
so now instead of vagabonds and rapier flying round at lululudicrous speeds (that were infact terribly easy to counter) you now have falcons sitting off at 200km that are arguably harder to counter (cept with more falcons)
so next time you see a falcon warp in and think "im going to kill that falcon pilot (ingame)" well maybe you should think about the lack of support you provided for anti nano nerf posts and should then infact kill yourself (ingame).
Infact ive wrote a little poem for you all to suffer through.
First they came for the amarr pilots,
and I didnĘt speak up,
because I wasnĘt an amarr pilot.
Then they came for the nosdomis,
and I didnĘt speak up,
because I wasnĘt a nosdomi.
Then they came for the nano pilots,
and I didnĘt speak up,
because I was a caldari.
Then they falcons became win,
and by that time there was no one
left to catch them.

Thread made me lol, so that's a good thing. My only resentment is towards the Caldari comment... because I fly Caldari please - some of us learned a long time ago to train Caldari to recon level and switch asap. |

You ever think if useing snipers or ECCM to counter Falcons? It's actually quite easy to pop a Falcon with a sniper BS if they're stupid enough to hang around.

The same could be said for nanos....didnt stop them nerfing them and it wont stop ccp nerfing falcons

I liked the nano nerf, get over it.
Due to fighting off certain wartargets I get much more grief off half a dozen neutral guardian alts littered all around the perimeter of a station then I ever get off falcons.
In fact the falcon is the one thing that helps make them pack it in.
Yeah sure, falcons do need a good nerf kick in the fact in my opinion.
...but they are certainly easier to deal with then the ridiculous nano ships that really were near invincible.

You never needed to spend 2b to make a vag go 6km/sec.
The nano nerf was in planning for months before FW was even released.
Drakes are great for PvP if ur not thick.
Falcons are just as fragile as they ever were.
The game has gotten a lot better since the nano nerf.
You didn't write that 'poem'.

I was refferring to the 10km/sec vagabond in that instance the one that ccp claimed was going at a ludicrous speed
Sure it was but the uber whining from fw players made it worse than intended
Sure they are but then atleast you were fast enough to tackle them before they cloaked (or atleast try to tackle them)
no it hasnt....minmatatr is 50% nerfed, blobbing is now the only way to ensure success in pvp (as opposed to when nanoes could combat a blob) and missiles now suck (which serves the caldari whiners right tbh)

There is no logic in this thread.
Nanos and falcons are 2 seperate things, not connected to each other.
If one has gone, it does not mean that the other one got stronger, there simply is no causality between the two. |
