does anyone have any setups to recommend? i usually go out with 2xions, 2xstandard launcher or 2xrocket launcher, or 1xion and 1x named autocannon with emp. mwd, webbie and whatever i can fit in lows.
technically, shouldnt this setup be doing more damage than 3xion on a taranis? i know i dont get the bonus for using hybrids...but is it really that significant? maybe my skills just suck atm...

Very significant, thats +25% damage for the ship alone, then +25% more if you have small hybrid lvl5, on top of that a +25% firing rate bonus. Sum that up and it packs a punch.

Very significant, thats +25% damage for the ship alone, then +25% more if you have small hybrid lvl5, on top of that a +25% firing rate bonus. Sum that up and it packs a punch.

LMFAO this is great, you guys are complaining that the taranis is an uber ship....yet, quite honestly-it blows sack, becuase what you are forgetting is that it is a frigate. What is the point of training a month to get a ship that can be bested by anybody who knows what they are doing in a ship that costs 1/100th the price...and make money when they go boom? but hey maybe there are folks that like losing 7-8 mil whenever they die. Maybe if everyone could just think a little bit before going and getting the latest and "greatest", when a ship thats been around forever and has proven its worth? such as a kestrel or punisher or rifter or any number of IMO better ships?
interceptors are only good for breaking blockades and finding safe spots. there is nothing about them (except for maybe the crow) that a frigate could not beat.
remember use your brain, its the only part of you that counts in this game.

hmmm the interceptor i kill mostly is actually the crow.... And I can fly em all(not amarr). I prefer the taranis. I web the crow and go towards him and smartbomb his missils... I never had any probs... of course if he stay out of webbing range. but then i run from missils.

I cant fly claws yet, but I'd like to hear setups from people who have defeated a taranis and crow in one, in both short and long range, as I am training it up right now.

my crow has smoked every 1v1 interceptor it has ever encountered, ok well one crow killed me 2 seconds after i killed it, but i was setup for fleet support
and half the time im able to smoke multiple frigs & interceptors
the taranis is onyle ffective at about 1-4k, i see no reason to let them get that close
