Oh that was gold!
One question though; how'd he log if you had him locked down?
Didn't think that was possible.

You need to accept that most people will not willingly loose a 65 mill ship plus mods and possibly implants after that for the sake of honour.
I agree. If there is any way in avoiding your BS / modules / implants loss, I would have done the same thing... lame trick or not. The guys that are saying they don't care, simply have too much ISK's.
Same goes for NPC hunting though: if all fails and you are scrambled, put drones out (if you haven't allready), log off and pray. Seen a few times that players got away with it, ... 5% structure left.

TBH no, I didnte realise he'd logged from local. I also didnt expect that thorax to do as much damage as it did... hence the reason I thought I had more time to change missiles and start firing again.
Despite what people say, it is TOTALLY lame to log, even if it means loosing a load of stuff. Hell, I didnte log when i lost my scorp that 90 mins before...
People should play the game the way its ment to be played, rather than using a RL tactic to get away.
Anyway, the pirates involved were indeed KORM pilots. I didnt want to release their names as it's just a bit of fun. But hell, what could be more fun than a pirate getting mocked everytime people see him

Hehe that's just funny.

If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU.

That's not always true.
I had a corp member lock me down, then I logged on a different character from the SAME account, flew out, and was firing on myself(the logged off char)15 minutes later.

Must have been a bug. If u look in the patchnotse somewhere, thats, the way Qwarkz detailed it is the way it happens. It's the way its ment to happen anyway, not saying it happens EVERY time...

Isn't there a simple soulution to this? If an NPC has you scrambled and webbed, you warp away, if a player has you scrambled, You don't warp away/disappear, I thought that would be an obvious and fairly easy solution?

What a great video. Im still laughing. I do think its lame the way he logged. Isnt KROM supposed to be some big tough pirate corp? Then they pull cheapshot moves like this. What a bunch of cowards. Here I thought they were l3wt like m0o or something but instead they are anything but.
KROM = LAMERS
Wakita Warriors of Matar
Ronin of Matar alone on the path

It's abusing a game bug to save some pixels on a screen; what could possibly be lamer?
You caring about what happens to those pixels maybe?

This small movie is well done.
And it perfectly demonstrates EVE's biggest design flaw: Ultra-consent PvP everywhere, full of frustrating encounters and exploits.
Devs are meanwhile busy with the expansion instead of fixing the current game mechanics. -- Stories: #1 --
