The countdown timer is still running and will make your ship dissapear when it reaches 0. Personally I think the timer shold be abolished and when you log you warp away. The ship does NOT dissapear, ever. It would mean you can find ships that have been logged off in a safe spot.

So if you get offlined NPC'ing you would still warp away (unless scrambled), your modules should keep running (if set on auto) until no cap/ammo is left (or the timer is up). 15 minutes would take the top off the lets log to save our ass tactics. even the paranoid has real enemies...

You need to accept that most people will not willingly loose a 65 mill ship plus mods and possibly implants after that for the sake of honour. This is 2004, not 1504. If there is any way in avoiding your BS / modules / implants loss, I would have done the same thing... lame trick or not. The guys that are saying they don't care, simply have too much ISK's. Same goes for NPC hunting though: if all fails and you are scrambled, put drones out (if you haven't allready), log off and pray. Seen a few times that players got away with it, ... 5% structure left. Yarrr?

I had a corp member lock me down, then I logged on a different character from the SAME account, flew out, and was firing on myself(the logged off char)15 minutes later.

I had a corp member lock me down, then I logged on a different character from the SAME account, flew out, and was firing on myself(the logged off char)15 minutes later.
