But when you consider how many 'possible' fittings for any given ship there are and then look at the fittings that people use there is very little variation. its not like you see Thorax's running around with strange mix's of autocannons, hybrids and smartbombs with mining drones. If there are 1000 possible configurations for each t3 ship, I'll bet that in a few months time there will be less than 5% of the possible configurations will be in use in the entire universe! The eve community will swallow will the T3 mechanics, experiment with DPS spreadsheets, test and trial, and will end up spitting out about 5 configurations for each ship which will be "the best"

Mining/salvage, PVE and PVP. There will always be an "optimal" PVP configuration that everyone will eventually use. The only different ones will be from noobs who have yet to learn the optimal configuration but they won't sell except to other inexperienced noobs. -- There's a simple difference between kinky and perverted. If CCP decides to keep this in then I will not be flying T3 ships period. I will not fly or do anything that will make me loose Skill Points. I have been training for years on all my chars and the one thing in this game that is of most value is your skill points. If this is the way it will be and pilots need to fly T3 ships to remain competitve in eve, then myself along with a lot of others will walk away from this game, that is a fact. Please rethink this part.

Let's face it, a hurricane/harbinger/drake/myrmidon with proper skills will rip apart any HAC and costs half as much when fitted (and is fully insurable). The only thing a HAC has over them is a bit more gtfo capability if you get blobbed. I guarantee that 1 BS will **** 1 T3 cruiser 1vs1, in 5vs5 the BS advantage will be greatly magnified as tracking will become less of an issue. The real question is will they overtake the BC. If they are truly better than t2, then they might be able to topple BC's as the default pvp ship in a small gang. But that will only be determined with some time.
