I was approaching "HACKERS" movie levels of propaganda in my mind too, I was like able to configure some commands in terminal and actually managed to run extra lines of commands to add further stability (all of this off a web guide I found which I copied verbatim). One thing I did find though, is that calling someone a nerd while playing internet spaceship isn't very effective.

That is awesome ^_^ I think I'm too indoctrinated in the geek/nerd world to even notice if something hits a 'normal' person's radar as "geeky" anymore. Thank god though, we're far, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from 'normal'! ;)
