Ah but i meant that if you have a certain fit(complete) you prefer to use, you wouldn't have to use time and time again to set it up.
Much like "fit this stack of guns on active ship", instead of 1 by 1.

Why every patch CCP is making Eve more dumbier? I mean, easier tutorials, align button, now way too easy scanning with probes system, nano nerf, and others stuffs... Whats next? Auto-fitting window? Guns with no tracking? "ShootDistance" in weapon showinfo because peoples cant do math(Optimal+Falloff)?
Is Eve trying to be like WoW? I like Eve because of its community, and it having a harder gameplay filter reta**** kids away, so they go play something else with elfs and gnomes...
Also, I tried lots of MMORPGs out there, and only Eve was a challenge to learn how to play, and theres always stuffs to learn, thats why I still playing it now..
Eve needs more stuffs for advanced players, probing was, (I think), not everyone knew how to warp around creating SS right in the edge of the 4au of the others probes, or how to use the different(ALOT) kinda of probes... Now a 1day player can learn how to scan stuffs with this new probing system... whys that???
Soo, please CCP, dont make Eve a stupid game where even my cat can play it.... Just my opinion...
On the one hand yeah I see what you mean.
On the other hand, all the UI helpy-hands in the world won't stop stupid people being stupi ie: easy prey.
So I guess what I'm saying is, it's all good. Chillax and whatnot.

Well as long as they dont make it too easy. Its always fun to kill noobs. CCP has to tend to their long term players or they will fail and they know that.

Because google toolbar, which is basicly built in firefox, but can also be downloaded for IE, also has spell check?
Or because not everyone needs spell check? ---------------------------------------------

Why does everyone assume that simplifying things makes them somehow less intelligent? The analogy of the car is quite apt, as they have refined the design over the years, but you still need to acquire the skills of driving for yourself. Is driving any less of a skill for the refinement? In many ways, it is harder to drive now than it used to be, due to the number of cars on the road, the speed we travel at, and the technical complexity of our travel environment.
Cars may have been made less complicated and more comfortable, but it has not made the experience of driving any less necessary. Driving requires a lot of skill, and just spending a few minutes on the road makes you appreciate just how few people really drive correctly.
With EVE, it's initial complexity is what dissuades an awful lot of people, and if we want to encourage more people to join, then we have to make that learning curve less intimidating. And what's wrong with having a combined 'shoot distance' anyway? Do you go into a shop and find a pricetag with an audit trail, with separate prices for manufacture, transport and seller profit, which you then have to add up yourself? No, you don't. It might be useful knowing these details, but why make things needlessly complicated?
Or would you rather EVE retain its fierce learning curve and complicated interface in order to keep the population down, and keep it as an elite little club for smart people?
Personally, I believe streamlining the experience is a good thing. It won't take away from the complexity of the game, and will bring in new people, with whom I can trade and go to war with, and this is what social games are about.
If you want to feel smug in your intellectual superiority, join Mensa. If you want a social game with plenty of challenge, join EVE.
I've seen hundreds of 'EVE is dying' threads, but this is the only MMO, aside from WoW, that has seen continual growth.

You heard it here first! There is an auto fitting function to the fitting window now. Save your ships current setup and next time you have a fresh ship to fit just select the saved profile and it will take them mods and all charges and fit them in about 2 seconds! Total win feature tbh.
Oh man about time. Thank our lords and creators at CCP.
OP if your going to post on a english forum about something being stupid, run your post thru a grammer/spell checker first.

Erm, Discounting the plethora of eastern MMOs we never see State-side or in Europe which do enjoy continual growth you're off by a power.
You missed Second Life (which I admit is debatable as a game but is an MMO) and Dofus. Both of which are free. Of the paid MMOs, yes, WoW and EVE are the only two which have enjoyed growth year after year.
Which makes the animosity EVE players have for WoW players, and vice versa, rather ironic.

I believe Second Life has had a population crash fairly recently, though I may be wrong with that, and I've never heard of Dofus.
There probably are a number of successful Japanese / Korean, etc games we never see, but I hadn't factored them in because I can't speak about a market of which I am completely unaware.
Needless to say, even recently released MMOs are struggling, like Warhammer, which enjoyed an initial flurry, but has struggled since, and Age Of Conan, which from what I hear is sinking like a stone.
That said, EVE hasn't really had much in the way of direct rivalry just yet, as the majority of MMOs are fantasy, or variants thereof.

The new probing system is anything but dumb. It now takes real player skill to narrow down a result and not just warping from planet to planet dropping a 4 au probe then cloaking and going afk.
Nothing can beat a hand's on approach like we have now. --------------- Opinions? Yes they belong to me, not my corp! |

This pretty much outlines my thoughts.
There is a huge difference between user-friendliness and something being made easier as well. Sometimes the method of presentation or explanation makes all the difference.
And if the OP would read some more patch notes and dev blogs she'd know that upcoming npc AI overhauls and tech 3 ships are adding a nice layer of complication on top of what we already have.

What that freecaptain guy said..
Repeative, stupid tasks are something that everybody wants to get rid off, be it clever or dumb men. Which involves the current scanning mechanics, configuring your overview settings for every new char (and computer, sigh..) and even the fitting process while you dont want to experiment with a different setup anyways. So luckily, CCP changes all of that with next patch.
Oh, and the prey thing is quite amusing ^^
The only thing I will miss is the nice little picture with the learning curves of MMOs

True story - for the first week of playing I believed that falloff was not in addition to optimal range.
TBH, if CCP just wrote a well written (or even an audio program) explaining how not to die in PVE/PVP in this game, that would help with retention... ________________________________________________

OMG...
I actually read such OP all the way...
All I could do next was read the following storm of smack, which was well deserved. And I have to add: Somehow You managed to get through the currently existing filter for "dumbier and unintelligente people"... And the scientists in Iceland are now rubbing their foreheads and banging their heads against the keyboards with question "How the F**K did he get through?!??"
And if this was an attempt to troll, I must say, dear sir, You failed even more...
