Personally i've been running my 6800 GT at Ultra speeds for almost a month on a 300 watt PSU that I bought ages ago (To power a AMD K6-2 system, no less), and reviewers have tested them on even weaker PSUs. Your 425mm Prototype I Gauss Gun perfectly strikes some nublar, wrecking for 1155.0 damage.
