Just to follow up, I have set my MTU back to 1500 since lowering it to 1300 didn't seem to help. I have disabled wireless on my router and never had a disconnect since then. I have bought a newer router; a d-link WBR 2310 and will report results ...

bugs such as these shouldn't stay on production for this long. I wonder whats CCP's requirement on server downtime per day. Seriously, I'd get seriously whacked for having an app that crashes this often in customers' hands.
